The Armory Center for the Arts is a non-profit community arts organization that offers arts education programs and contemporary art exhibitions in Pasadena, California, United States. It originated as the education department of the Pasadena Art Museum in 1947. After the museum closed in 1974 (and became the Norton Simon Museum), the education program became known as the Pasadena Art Workshops. The workshops in collaboration with the Baxter Art Gallery became the Armory Center for the Arts in 1989.

Raymond Theatre (formerly Perkins Palace) is an auditorium located in Pasadena, California, built around 1921. It was known as Perkins Palace when it was a live music venue from 1979 through 1991. In addition to being a popular music venue, it was featured in several films and music videos during the 1980s. Artists that recorded and released live shows at Perkins Palace include Phil Collins, RATT, Dave Mason, and New Grass Revival. A group known as Friends of the Raymond Theatre, including promoter Gina Zamparelli, has advocated keeping the Raymond Theatre as a performing arts venue. They were looking for a buyer in 2006.In 2009, the theater's exterior was restored while the interior was converted to mixed use residential and retail. The theater's auditorium was also restored. A condominium building called The Raymond Renaissance was built next door.The Theatre was owned by the father of rock star David Lee Roth in the 1970's.[1]

The Raymond–Summit Historic District is a historic district roughly encompassing the 400 blocks of North Raymond and North Summit Avenues in Pasadena, California. The residential historic district includes 22 contributing buildings. The area was part of Rancho San Pascual prior to its development. In 1875, the Lake Vineyard Land and Water Company formed to manage the property. The company parceled out and sold the land and, between 1886 and 1904, the new owners built houses on their properties during a Pasadena building boom. Architectural styles represented among these homes include Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, American Foursquare, American Craftsman, Shingle Style, and a number of vernacular styles. Prominent Pasadena architects Greene & Greene designed a Shingle Style house at 450 North Raymond and two vernacular cottages at 442 and 448 North Summit; all three houses have Colonial Revival details.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 9, 2011.

Memorial Park station is a below-grade light rail station on the A Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located at Holly Street and at the end of Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena, California. The station is named after the nearby Memorial Park and is situated on the northern edge of Old Town Pasadena. Memorial Park station was built in a trench beneath the Holly Street Village Apartments, which was constructed with the trench in 1994 in anticipation of a light rail station at this site. This station features station art called The First Artists in Southern California: A Short Story, created by artist John Valadez.Memorial Park station opened on July 26, 2003, as part of the original Gold Line, then known as the "Pasadena Metro Blue Line" project. It is one of the A Line stations near the Rose Parade route on Colorado Boulevard and is heavily used by people coming to see the parade. The station is also located near the Rose Bowl Shuttle which stops at the Parsons Corporation headquarters building and offers service to most events at the stadium. During the 2028 Summer Olympics, the station will serve spectators traveling to and from the Rose Bowl.

Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena, California, is a major north–south road connecting the communities of Altadena, Pasadena, and South Pasadena, running 7.9 miles (12.7 km) in length. It starts at its southernmost end in South Pasadena at Huntington Drive. It travels due north to a terminus above Loma Alta Avenue in Altadena and the gates of Angelus County Park. Beyond this, the road becomes a private easement. At its meeting of Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena the two roads become the zero-zero, east–west, north–south postal division of Pasadena which carries on into Altadena. In South Pasadena, the street numbering varies with its own postal zip code.

The Holly Street Livery Stable is a historic livery stable located at 110 E. Holly St. in Pasadena, California. The brick building has an irregular trapezoidal shape, as it was built next to Santa Fe Railroad tracks. Built in 1904, the stable was first used by John Breiner, who ran the Pasadena City Market; Breiner used the stable for the horses and wagons needed to deliver groceries. The stable was also used during the early years of the Rose Parade as both a float construction site and a site for hitching horses to wagons. After the automobile supplanted horse-drawn vehicles, the stable has been used for a variety of other purposes, including a Red Cross thrift store, an auto repair shop, and a furniture warehouse.The stable was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 25, 1979.

Old Pasadena, often referred to as Old Town Pasadena or just Old Town, is the original commercial center of Pasadena, a city in California, United States, and had a latter-day revitalization after a period of decay. Old Pasadena began as the center of a research hub where science and research institutions such as Caltech and Jet Propulsion Laboratory and companies such as Beckman Instruments and Aerojet were founded. The large concentration of such companies in the area gave it the nickname "Athens of the West".The area was also an artistic center, the home to Andy Warhol's West Coast museum debut and the first Marcel Duchamp retrospective, both at the Pasadena Art Museum (one of the earliest modern art museums in the country, now the Norton Simon Museum). Before that, Pasadena was a center of suffragist and pacifist movements and other liberal causes. By the late 1940s, the downtown area was blighted by flophouses, dive bars and pawn shops. It later became a hippie destination, with head shops, adult bookstores and massage parlors. By the late 1980s, Old Pasadena was undergoing a period of urban renewal and regeneration.

It is centered on Fair Oaks Avenue and Colorado Boulevard and is divided into three distinct neighborhoods: Old Pasadena, the Civic Center, and Monk Hill. Downtown Pasadena is known for its historical buildings that have been preserved throughout the years.

Colonial Court is a bungalow court located at 291–301 N. Garfield Ave. in Pasadena, California. The court consists of six houses arranged around a narrow courtyard. The houses are designed in the Colonial Revival style and feature clapboard siding and jerkinhead roofs. Built in 1916, the homes were designed by architect Cyril Bennett.The court was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 11, 1983.

AGBU Vatche & Tamar Manoukian High School was a private Armenian-American school located in Pasadena, California, United States, which opened its doors in September 2006 and closed in 2020. The campus is owned and operated by the Armenian General Benevolent Union, the largest Armenian philanthropic organization in the diaspora that also sponsors 17 Armenian day schools around the world. The school was administratively and academically affiliated with AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School, a college preparatory high school in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles. The school met high school requirements, which included a science lab, library, indoor gym, computer lab, assembly hall, and cafeteria. During the semester of 2013, the school added more electives including International Issues, Globalization and Public Policy, secured each classroom with a smartboard, established diverse clubs that students can participate in during the day. It was one of the 570 member schools of the California Interscholastic Federation, or CIF Southern Section which competes in varsity sports. Its athletic department included a boys' varsity team, a boys' junior varsity team, and a girls' varsity team. In October 2019, the Armenian General Benevolent Union announced the impending closure of the school, citing declining enrollment numbers. The announcement was met with widespread condemnation from Armenian students across Southern California. For days after the announcement students of the school were joined by those from other Armenian Schools including Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, St. Gregory A. & M. Hovsepian School, Sahag Mesrob Armenian Christian School in protests both at the campus and at the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church. The school hosted an event for students to get to know about other Armenian high school options in Southern California on November 5. The students organized a boycott of this event as a testament to their determination to keep their school open. The school closed in June 2020; the closure was announced in 2019. AGBU cited the increasing costs as the reason for the closure.

Evolution Robotics was an American technological company based in Pasadena, California. It specialized in robotics technologies, with computer vision, localization, and autonomous navigation products. Evolution Robotics cooperated with Cambridge University for research in vision technology. Software products of Evolution Robotics were licensed by the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology and the Sony Robotics Division and were part of WowWee robots like Rovio.On September 17, 2012, iRobot acquired Evolution Robotics for $74 Million.

The Court at 533-549 North Lincoln Avenue is a bungalow court located at 533-549 North Lincoln Avenue in Pasadena, California. The court consists of four bungalows surrounding a central courtyard and driveway. The bungalows have an American Craftsman design and feature gabled roofs with exposed rafter tails, casement windows, and porches supported by Doric columns. T. G. Grabham, the original owner of the court, built the four homes between 1922 and 1925. Architect G. Tombelson designed the first two homes, which were both built in 1922; contractors Whitescarver & Pieton added the third home in 1923, and contractor Joseph G. Roth built the last in 1925.The court was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 15, 1994.
