Hunts Cross railway station

Hunt's Cross is a suburb of Liverpool, England. It is located on the southern edge of the city, bordered by the suburbs of Woolton, Allerton, Speke and Halewood and delineated by the West Coast Main Line, Hillfoot Avenue, Merseyrail Northern Line and Mackets Lane.

Much Woolton Old School is a small Grade II* listed building on School Lane in Woolton, Liverpool, United Kingdom. An inscription on the building's exterior claims it to be the "oldest elementary school building in Lancashire" and built in 1610. Whilst this statement is accepted as likely to be true (and probably one of the oldest of its type in all of England as well), the date of construction is disputed. It ceased to be used as a school in the mid 19th century. Since 1990, the building has been used as a nursery.

Woolton Hall is a former country house located in Woolton, a suburb of Liverpool, England. Built in 1704 and extensively renovated in 1772 by the influential architect Robert Adam, the building is praised as the finest example of Adam's work in the North of England. Throughout its first 200 years, the building was the residence of a number of notable figures, including the Earl of Sefton and Liverpool shipowner Frederick Richards Leyland. During the 20th century, the building went through a number of uses, eventually becoming a school in the 1950s, and later being abandoned with plans for its demolition. A campaign against its destruction was successful and the hall was made a Grade I listed building in 1982. However, in 2021, the building was declared at "immediate risk" by Historic England.

Woolton is a Liverpool City Council Ward within the Garston and Halewood Parliamentary constituency. In 2004 the boundary changed to incorporate a small part of Allerton ward and lost a small area to the new Allerton and Hunts Cross ward.

Halewood is a town and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley in Merseyside, England. It lies near the city of Liverpool's southeastern boundary, bordered by the suburbs of Netherley, Hunt's Cross and Woolton. Historically a part of Lancashire, Halewood originated as a small village but later developed along with parts of Knowsley district, Sefton district and St Helens district into overspill areas for the surrounding cities of Liverpool, Manchester and Salford. At the 2001 census, the population of the civil parish was 20,309, remaining similar at the 2011 census. The combined population of Halewood's four local government wards was 29,217.
