Woolton Hall

St. Julie's Catholic High School is a Roman Catholic secondary school for girls aged 11–18 located in Woolton, Liverpool.

Woolton is a Liverpool City Council Ward within the Garston and Halewood Parliamentary constituency. In 2004 the boundary changed to incorporate a small part of Allerton ward and lost a small area to the new Allerton and Hunts Cross ward.

Woolton (locally ; WUHL-ton) is an affluent suburb of Liverpool, England. It is located southeast of the city and is bordered by Allerton, Gateacre, Halewood, and Hunt's Cross. At the 2011 Census, the population was 12,921.

Much Woolton Old School is a small Grade II* listed building on School Lane in Woolton, Liverpool, United Kingdom. An inscription on the building's exterior claims it to be the "oldest elementary school building in Lancashire" and built in 1610. Whilst this statement is accepted as likely to be true (and probably one of the oldest of its type in all of England as well), the date of construction is disputed. It ceased to be used as a school in the mid 19th century. Since 1990, the building has been used as a nursery.

Woolton Picture House (also known as Woolton Cinema) is a privately owned cinema in the Woolton area of Liverpool, England. It is the only remaining single-screen cinema in the city, and is popular with cinema enthusiasts because of its old-fashioned atmosphere. The music of Mantovani plays before the main programme and in the traditional halfway interval, during which ice cream can be bought from usherettes. It was purchased in 1992 by David Wood, the grandson of Liverpool cinema pioneer John Frederick Wood. Wood died on 12 June 2006 leading to the cinema's closure on 3 September. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest was the last film to be shown. In 2007, a group of entrepreneurs purchased the cinema and re-opened it on 29 March 2007 with a screening of The Queen. The 2020 coronavirus pandemic led to the permanent closure of the establishment, but a crowd-funding effort on Go Fund Me has raised £20,000, and the owners have suspended redundancies whilst they evaluate the availability of grants from the BFI and other sources.

Woolton Woods and Camp Hill is a wooded park in the Woolton suburb of Liverpool, England.

Littlewoods was a retail and football betting company founded in Liverpool, England, by John Moores in 1923. By the 1980s, it had grown to become the largest private company in Europe, but subsequently declined in the face of increased competition from rivals and the Internet. The original company – employing 4,000 people – was wound up in 2005; however, its brand name is retained by The Very Group as the online retailer Littlewoods.com.

St Peter's Church is in Church Road, Woolton, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Liverpool South Childwall, the archdeaconry of Liverpool, and the diocese of Liverpool. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is one of the largest parish churches in Liverpool, and its bell tower stands at the highest point of the city. The church also has connections with The Beatles.

Reynolds Park is a 14-acre (57,000 m2) park in Woolton, Liverpool. The origins of the park are 200 years ago, it was bequeathed to the City Council in 1926.

Gateacre ( (listen)) is a suburb of Liverpool, England, about 6 miles (9.7 km) from the city centre. It is bordered by Childwall, Woolton and Belle Vale. The area is noted for its Tudor Revival architecture and contains over 100 listed buildings within a quarter-mile radius of the village centre, making it one of the most important historic areas in the city.Gateacre can trace its roots back to at least the 12th century, although it was not until the mid-seventeenth century that the name was first used to refer to the area. It remained a primarily rural village until the nineteenth century, when it began to grow rapidly as new transport links and businesses developed. Gateacre was officially absorbed into Liverpool in 1913, however it was not until the post-war period that it became part of city's metropolitan area. In the 1950s and 1960s, large scale housing developments occurred in and around Gateacre, while a new comprehensive school and shopping centre were built. In 1969, in order to protect the area's historic buildings, Gateacre was declared a conservation area, becoming one of the first in Liverpool.
