Girona (Barcelona Metro)

Casa Pomar is a modernist apartment building located at number 86, Carrer de Girona, Barcelona. The building was designed by the Catalan architect Joan Rubió y Bellver (1871–1952), a pupil of Antoni Gaudí. Construction began in 1904 and was completed in 1906. The building has a narrow facade. There is a bow window on the first floor, above which are several balconies on upper floors. The bow window's base is constructed of green ceramic tiles and wrought iron, inspired by the neo-Gothic style.

Òmnium Cultural (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈɔmni.um kultuˈɾal]) is a Catalan association based in Barcelona, Catalonia. It was originally created in the 1960s to promote the Catalan language and spread Catalan culture. Over the years it has increased its involvement in broader political issues; in 2012 it committed itself to Catalan independence, specifically demanding the right of self-determination for Catalonia. Leaders of the abortive Catalan independence referendum such as Jordi Cuixart were simultaneously holding leadership positions at Òmnium. Currently Òmnium claims more than 190,000 members organised in 52 regional offices besides the headquarters in Barcelona.

The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and Assumption of Our Lady is a basilica in Barcelona, Catalonia. The church originated as the Jonqueres Monastery, that was moved stone by stone when the land of the monastery was to be demolished. In 1879, a bell tower was added from the church of San Miguel which was also going to be demolished. The rectory stands on the left side of the bell tower and is a historicist building built at the end of the 19th century. On 20 February 2009, Pope Benedict XVI granted the title of minor basilica to the church, which became the eighth basilica in the city.Ramon Corts i Blay is the current Rector of the Basilica.

The Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona (Catalan: Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona, IPA: [kunsəɾβəˈtɔɾi munisiˈpal də ˈmuzikə ðə βəɾsəˈlonə]) is a teaching institution, which is devoted to music education. The present ownership belongs to the Barcelona City Hall.

Carrer de Roger de Llúria is a street in central Barcelona, in the Eixample district, named after Roger of Lauria. It starts in Carrer de Còrsega and ends in Plaça Urquinaona and is located between Carrer de Pau Claris and Carrer del Bruc, in Dreta de l'Eixample.

Casa Calvet (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈkazə kəlˈβɛt]) is a building, designed by Antoni Gaudí for a textile manufacturer which served as both a commercial property (in the basement and on the ground floor) and a residence. It is located at Carrer de Casp 48, Eixample district of Barcelona. It was built between 1898 and 1900.Gaudí scholars agree that this building is the most conventional of his works, partly because it had to be squeezed in between older structures and partly because it was sited in one of the most elegant sections of Barcelona. Its symmetry, balance and orderly rhythm are unusual for Gaudí's works. However, the curves and double gable at the top, the projecting oriel at the entrance — almost baroque in its drama, and isolated witty details are modernista elements. Bulging balconies alternate with smaller, shallower balconies. Mushrooms above the oriel at the center allude to the owner's favorite hobby. Columns flanking the entrance are in the form of stacked bobbins — an allusion to the family business of textile manufacture. Lluís Permanyer claims that "the gallery at ground level is the façade's most outstanding feature, a daring combination of wrought iron and stone in which decorative historical elements such as a cypress, an olive tree, horns of plenty, and the Catalan coat of arms can be discerned". Three sculpted heads at the top also allude to the owner: One is Sant Pere Màrtir Calvet i Carbonell (the owner's father) and two are patron saints of Vilassar, Andreu Calvet's home town. Between 1899 and 1906, the Arts Building Annual Award (Concurso annual de edificios artísticos) awarded modernist pieces, like the Casa Calvet, the Casa Lleó Morera and the Casa Trinxet.

Plaça de Tetuan (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈplasə ðə tətuˈan]), known in Spanish as Plaza de Tetuán, is a major square in Barcelona. It is in Fort Pienc, in the central district of Eixample, at the busy intersection of Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and Passeig de Sant Joan. The square is named after the 1860 Battle of Tétouan, the siege and occupation of the Moroccan city of Tetuan by general Joan Prim and Catalan volunteers. It was formerly called Hermenegildo Giner de los Ríos.

Dreta de l'Eixample (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈdɾɛtə ðə ləˈʃamplə]) is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). It is located east (visualised as dreta or "right") of Carrer de Balmes. It includes Plaça de Catalunya, the centre of the city, and the upscale streets Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia. It is the bourgeois neighborhood of the city, which makes the majority of its population belong to the upper class of Barcelona. Dreta de L'Eixample is one of the most luxurious neighborhoods of Barcelona.

Plaça de Mossèn Jacint Verdaguer (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈplasə ðə muˈsɛɲ ʒəˈsim bəɾðəˈɣe]; colloquially Plaça Verdaguer or simply Verdaguer) is a square in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It lies in the intersection between Avinguda Diagonal, the city's main avenue, and Passeig de Sant Joan, in Dreta de l'Eixample, not far from the Sagrada Família. It is named after the 19th century Catalan-language epic poet Jacint Verdaguer, and is crowned by a noucentista monument made in 1912 by Joan Borrell of Verdaguer on top of a column and monumental construction designed by the architect Josep Maria Pericàs with Borrell's allegories of poetry. The bas-reliefs around the monument, featuring scenes from Verdaguer's works, particularly L'Atlàntida, were sculpted by the brothers Llucià and Miquel Oslé. The current Catalan name of the square was approved in 1980, merely changing it from the Spanish version: Jacinto Verdaguer.

Carrer del Consell de Cent (official Catalan name; Spanish: Calle del Consejo de Ciento) is a long avenue in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It's one of the horizontal streets of the urban grid that makes up Eixample district, spanning the Esquerra de l'Eixample and the Dreta de l'Eixample quarters, starting at the Parc de Joan Miró by carrer de Vilamarí and ending in the neighbourhood of El Clot, by Avinguda Meridiana, in the Sant Martí district. It's named after one of Catalonia's ancient government institutions: the Consell de Cent, the "Council of a Hundred", based in Barcelona. The street's name was approved in 1900, and has never officially changed (but the name has indeed changed of official language). Its original denomination on Ildefons Cerdà's plan, however, was Ll (a separate letter in the Spanish alphabet before 1994).

Tetuan is a station on the L2 line of the Barcelona metro network, located below Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and Plaça de Tetuan in the Eixample district in central Barcelona. It was opened in 1995, along several other stations on the line. The station can be accessed from the entrances located on Carrer de Casp-Passeig de Sant Joan and Carrer de la Diputació-Passeig de Sant Joan.

Col·legi Casp–Sagrat Cor de Jesús (Catalan pronunciation: [kuˈlːɛʒi ˈkasp səˈɣɾat ˈkɔɾ ðə ʒəˈzus], in English "Casp College-Sacred Heart of Jesus") is a Jesuit school in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, founded in 1881. Its Catalan name refers to both the school's location on Casp Street (Carrer de Casp) and the attached church, the Església del Sagrat Cor de Jesús. Both the school and church are run by the "Casp Jesuits" (Jesuïtes de Casp).
