Tokyo Prefecture (東京府, Tōkyō-fu) was a Japanese government entity that existed between 1868 and 1943.

Yaesu (八重洲) is a district in Chūō, Tokyo, Japan, located north of Ginza, west of Nihonbashi and Kyōbashi, and adjacent to the east side of Tokyo Station. The Yaesu exit of this station, which faces Nihonbashi, is recent and primarily provides access to the Shinkansen platforms.

Tokyo Midtown Yaesu is a mixed-use development located in the Yaesu district of Chūō, Tokyo, Japan. The centrepiece of the complex is the Yaesu Central Tower, a 240 m (790 ft) tall skyscraper completed in 2022 as Japan's tenth tallest building. The complex also features the Yaesu Central Square, the Bus Terminal Tokyo Yaesu and the Joto Elementary School. US-based Pickard Chilton was in charge of the design, while Mitsui Fudosan developed the complex.

The GranTokyo (グラントウキョウ, Guran Tōkyō) is a skyscraper located in Marunouchi, Tokyo, Japan. Construction of the 205-metre tower was finished in 2007. The first fourteen floors of the building are occupied by a Daimaru department store.

Nihombashi Station (日本橋駅, Nihonbashi-eki) is a subway station in the Nihonbashi district of Tokyo, Japan, jointly operated by Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei) and Tokyo Metro.

The hotel's top floors boasts some of the largest unobstructed "panoramic views" of the Tokyo skyline, which include views of the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Bay, and other notable landmarks. The hotel was selected as the number one luxury hotel in the world in TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice Award 2012, and has topped 2014's World's Best Hotels list.

Pacific Century Place Marunouchi (パシフィックセンチュリープレイス丸の内, Pashifikku Senchurī Pureisu Marunouchi) is a skyscraper in Marunouchi, Chiyoda, Tokyo. The Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi is within the building. The building also houses Aeroméxico's Japan offices.The building was developed following a tender of the underlying land by Japan Railway Settlement Corporation in 1997. Pacific Century Group acquired the land and led the development of the property. Nikken Sekkei was responsible for preliminary architectural design, while Takenaka Corporation and Kajima Corporation led the construction.Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC acquired a large portion of the building in 2014 (excluding the hotel and certain other components) for $1.7 billion from Secured Capital Investment Management, which acquired the space in 2009 for around $1.3 billion.

Tokyo Station (Japanese: 東京駅, Japanese pronunciation: [to̞ːkʲo̞ːe̞kʲi]) is a railway station in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. The original station is located in Chiyoda's Marunouchi business district near the Imperial Palace grounds. The newer Eastern extension is not far from the Ginza commercial district. Due to the large area covered by the station, it is divided into the Marunouchi (west) and Yaesu (east) sides in its directional signage. Served by the high-speed rail lines of the Shinkansen network, Tokyo Station is the main inter-city rail terminal in Tokyo. It is the busiest station in Japan, with more than 4,000 trains arriving and departing daily, and the fifth-busiest in Eastern Japan in terms of passenger throughput; on average, more than 500,000 people use Tokyo Station every day. The station is also served by many regional commuter lines of Japan Railways, as well as the Tokyo Metro network.

Edo (Japanese: 江戸, lit. '"bay-entrance" or "estuary"'), also romanized as Jedo, Yedo or Yeddo, is the former name of Tokyo.Edo, formerly a jōkamachi (castle town) centered on Edo Castle located in Musashi Province, became the de facto capital of Japan from 1603 as the seat of the Tokugawa shogunate. Edo grew to become one of the largest cities in the world under the Tokugawa. After the Meiji Restoration in 1868 the Meiji government renamed Edo as Tokyo (東京, "Eastern Capital") and relocated the Emperor from the historic capital of Kyoto to the city. The era of Tokugawa rule in Japan from 1603 to 1868 is known eponymously as the Edo period.

Nihonbashi (日本橋) is a business district of Chūō, Tokyo, Japan which grew up around the bridge of the same name which has linked two sides of the Nihonbashi River at this site since the 17th century. The first wooden bridge was completed in 1603. The current bridge, designed by Tsumaki Yorinaka and constructed of stone on a steel frame, dates from 1911. The district covers a large area to the north and east of the bridge, reaching Akihabara to the north and the Sumida River to the east. Ōtemachi is to the west and Yaesu and Kyobashi to the south. Nihonbashi, together with Kyobashi and Kanda, is the core of Shitamachi, the original downtown center of Edo-Tokyo, before the rise of newer secondary centers such as Shinjuku and Shibuya.
