The Borough of Wokingham is a local government district with borough status in Berkshire, England. It is named after its main town, Wokingham. Other places in the district include Arborfield, Barkham, Charvil, Earley, Finchampstead, Hurst, Sonning, Remenham, Ruscombe, Shinfield, Twyford, Wargrave, Three Mile Cross, Winnersh, Spencers Wood and Woodley. The population of Wokingham is 177,500 according to 2021 census.

Wokingham is a market town and civil parish in Berkshire, England, 37 miles (60 km) west of London, 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Reading, 8 miles (13 km) north of Camberley and 4 miles (6 km) west of Bracknell. It is the main administrative centre of the wider Borough of Wokingham.

The Holt School is a secondary school located on the outskirts of Wokingham, Berkshire, England, on Holt Lane. It is a girls' school and currently teaches over 1,200 girls ranging from age 11–18. Boys are admitted to the sixth form. There are eight houses: Broderers, Clothworkers, Goldsmiths, Haberdashers, Lacemakers, Spinners, Tanners and Weavers. The school was founded in 1931, originally at Tudor House, and its first headmistress was G. M. Brown. It is a specialized language and science college and is in the top 100 highest achieving schools in GCSE, AS and A level exam results. The current co-headteachers are Anne Kennedy and Katie Pearce.In June 2020, James Furlong, a 36-year-old teacher who was head of history, government, and politics at the school, was stabbed to death in the 2020 Forbury Gardens stabbings in Reading.

Holt Copse & Joel Park is a 5.3-hectare (13-acre) Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in Wokingham in Berkshire. It is owned by Wokingham Town Council and managed by the council and Holt Copse Conservation Volunteers.

Wokingham Rural District was a rural district in the county of Berkshire, England. It was created in 1894. It was named after and administered from Wokingham, though this was a separate municipal borough. Since 1 April 1974 it has formed part of the Borough of Wokingham.

Luckley House School (formerly Luckley-Oakfield School) is an independent day and boarding school, located in Berkshire in England. It has a community of about 300 pupils, with about 250 in the first five-year groups, and 50 in the Sixth Form. The school is set in a rural location, south of the historic market town of Wokingham. The school has historically been an all girls' school but became coeducational from September 2015.

The Emmbrook School is a co-educational secondary school located in Emmbrook, Wokingham, Berkshire, England, for students between 11 and 18 years of age. There are approximately 1,378 students at the school, with nearly 200 in the Sixth Form. The School expanded in September 2021 by increasing the numbers of students joining Year 7Between the 14 and 16 March 2017, the school was inspected by Ofsted, which rated it as "Good".The school opened a new £2 million English block in 2015. A new Maths building was opened in 2017 and a new 3G pitch opened in 2020.Previously a community school administered by Wokingham Borough Council, The Emmbrook School converted to academy status in April 2021. The school is now sponsored by The Circle Trust.

Wescott Infant School is a coeducational infant school located in Wokingham, Berkshire, England. The school caters for children from ages four to seven (Reception to Year 2). Children join the school as "Rising Fives" and there is a three-term intake with a maximum of around 150 children on roll each year. Wescott holds the prestigious Artsmark Gold Award from the Arts Council, and in 2003 it was awarded a DFES School Achievement Award. The school has also been awarded Healthy Schools status.

Woosehill is a suburb of Wokingham in the English county of Berkshire.Woosehill – spelled incorrectly as Woose Hill on Ordnance Survey maps – is the north-western region of Wokingham, adjoining Emmbrook. The Emm Brook forms its eastern boundary and the Bearwood Road its western boundary, past the wooded area around Round Hill. Built primarily in the 1980s, it contains a wide range of family homes and bungalows. Amenities include a Morrisons supermarket, Chinese takeaway and doctor's surgery. There are also two primary schools, Hawthorns and Windmill, and two pre-schools, Chestnuts and Yellowbrick. There is a 24-hour veterinary clinic located next door to Morrisons in the building of the old surgery. The surgery has now moved to Fernlea Drive, adjacent to the Morrisons car park.In Chestnut Avenue, off Northway, there is the Woosehill Community Church.

Emmbrook is a suburb of the town of Wokingham in the county of Berkshire, England.The suburb takes its name from the Emm Brook, a small river that is a tributary of the River Loddon.There are four schools in Emmbrook: Emmbrook Junior School, Emmbrook Infant School, St Cecilia's Primary school and The Emmbrook School (11-18yrs). The latter is one of four main secondary schools serving Wokingham, and one of two schools in Wokingham with a specialism in Maths and Computing. Other local amenities in Emmbrook include three pubs: The Dog and Duck, The Rifle Volunteer and The Emmbrook Inn (formerly The Thatched Cottage); shops, a village hall, two social centres, a small business park, a post office and an Indian restaurant. Sports clubs include Wokingham & Emmbrook FC, Emmbrook & Bearwood Cricket Club and Emmbrook & Wokingham Boxing Club. The 1st Emmbrook Scout Troop, based at Hedley Hall, was launched on February 19, 1964 by Helmut van Emden. It has been run by Martin and Jessamy Wilson since 1988. It boasts one Explorer pack, two Scout packs, two Cub packs and two Beaver packs, with over 200 local children attending. Joel Park lies to the south east, and Old Forest Meadows lies to the north west of Emmbrook.

The Norreys Estate is a housing estate, part of the Dowlesgreen area of Wokingham in the English county of Berkshire, situated just east of the town centre.Before 1844, the area was officially a detached part of Wiltshire. The estate is named after the Norreys family from Ockwells Manor in Cox Green, Berkshire and Yattendon Castle. One of their minor manors covered this area and was known as Norreys Manor. More specifically the name was taken from the large Norreys Avenue, which now runs through the southern portion of the estate. This road was built on arable farmland in the late 1940s as emergency housing during World War II. The area contains many houses, mostly built in the 1960s, including much of Ashridge Road, Budges Road, Eustace Crescent, Barrett Crescent and Longs Way. After London Road and Finchampstead Road, Norreys Avenue is one of the largest residential roads in Wokingham. It starts off at a junction off Wiltshire Road, heads slightly NNE before turning sharply north, then east, the curving around back to a southern direction, forming the distinctive "n" shape. A few cul-de-sacs appear on the road, including Coronation Square, Elizabeth Road. In 2011, the Council proposed to demolish the 1960s blocks of flats on Eustace Crescent and replace them with more modern, low-rise accommodation, due to the deteriorating quality of the buildings. As of 2014, most tenants have been moved out of the buildings, and demolition is expected to follow shortly.
