San Vincenzo is a Baroque style, Roman Catholic church, now deconsecrated, located at Via Scalabrini #6 in the South-East quadrant of Piacenza, Region of Emilia Romagna, Italy. The church was restored starting in 2009 for use as an auditorium (Sala dei Teatini) and to host concerts.

San Giorgio in Sopramuro is a Baroque style, Roman Catholic oratory, located at via Sopramuro #61, in Piacenza, Region of Emilia Romagna, Italy. The church is also called San Giorgino to distinguish the temple from the church of San Giorgio in via Calzolai.

The Palazzo Ferrari Sacchini is a Baroque architecture-style aristocratic palace located at Via Giosuè Carducci #11 in central Piacenza, region of Emilia-Romagna in Italy. The palace also is referred to as the Palazzo Ferrari-Sacchini-Calciati-Costa referring to subsequent owners. The palace is now home to the local ministry of the treasury.

The Biblioteca Passerini-Landi is the main library of the comune of Piacenza, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. A Royal Library was established in 1774 by Ferdinand, Duke of Parma, and sited at the former home of the Jesuit Seminary of San Pietro. In 1768, the Jesuit order had been expelled from the Duchy, and their collections had been confiscated. The library was placed under the guidance of the priest Cristoforo Poggiali and began functions by 1778. In 1791, the library was joined with the Biblioteca Passerini, established by Count Pier Francesco Passerini and owned by the Collegio of Theologians, and their collections were moved to San Pietro. The library was secularized during the Napoleonic administration. In 1878, the library acquired its present name to commemorate the donation, earlier in the century, of his library by Marchese Ferdinando Landi. The library was expanded with duplicates from the library of Parma and the contents of the Libreria Cardani of Modena. In 1799, the collection gained books from the suppression of the Augustinian monastery. In the early 19th century, Giuseppe Poggi donated his collection, including the 9th-century psalter of the empress Ermengarde of Hesbaye. The Pallastrelli endowment included troves of documents of local history. The Landi endowment includes a 1336 manuscript of the Divine Comedy.

The Basilica of Sant'Antonino is a medieval Roman Catholic basilica in the city of Piacenza in Italy. it is dedicated to the patron saint of the city, Antoninus. The original church of Sant'Antonio was an early Christian martyrium. The present building was the work of Bishop Sigifredo, who dedicated it in 1014 as a collegiate church. He chose the form of a oriented basilica with a western nave and a campanile. The interior was decorated with early Romanesque painting, a little of which survives.The basilica on pilgrimage routes was designed by Pietro Vago in 1350. In 1998, a large statue of Gregory X, sculpted by Giorgio Groppi, was placed under the large Portico of Paradise. The Portico was itself completed in the 12th century with carvings by the school of Niccolò da Ferrara. The church has been rebuilt and modified across the century. The carved wood ceiling was substituted by Gothic tracery. In the 19th century pseudo-gothic decoration was added to the interior. The adjacent cloister dates to 1483. The interior of the church contains frescoes by Camillo Gavasetti in the presbytery, and canvases by Robert de Longe. Many of the works have been transferred to the Civic Gallery. Among the works retained is a "Coronation of the Virgin" by Gian Battista Trotti (il Malosso).

As of 2016, it has a total population of 286,572 inhabitants over an area of 2,585.86 square kilometres (998.41 sq mi), giving it a population density of 111.38 inhabitants per square kilometre. The city Piacenza has a population of 102,269, as of 2015. The provincial president is Patrizia Barbieri and it contains 48 comuni (SG: comune). The province dates back to its founding by the Romans in 218 BCE.

San Pietro is a Roman Catholic church in central Piacenza, Emilia Romagna, Italy. The church was built over the site of an ancient church titled San Pietro in Foro (St Peter of the Roman Forum).

The Oratory of San Cristoforo is a deconsecrated former Roman Catholic church or chapel located at the chamfered corner of Vie Gregorio X and Angelo Genocchi, in the north-central sector of the historic center of Piacenza, Italy. It rises a block North West of the former Chiesa Sacro Cuore (Gesu) erected by the Jesuits and now housing the Teatro Gioia. The oratory presently houses an exposition space and museum named the Piccolo Museo della Poesia (Small Museum of Poetry). The centralized structure was once known as the Oratorio della Morte (Oratory of Death) because it belonged to the confraternity of the same name, a group that subsidized the burial and memorial rites of its members. The architect was the Duchal architect, Domenico Valmagina. The elaborate interior was frescoed with quadratura by Ferdinando Galli Bibiena. In an 1842 inventory, the church had an altarpiece depicting the Virgin and St Gregory by Roberto da Longe. A confraternity, previously dedicated to St Cristopher, was previously based first at the church of Santa Maria dell’Argine Church since 1260, and in the 16th Century it was fused with the Confraternity della Morte which had moved to San Silvestro Church, next to a Benedictine order monastery. In 1686 this structure was commissioned, with patronage from Conte Roncovieri, and inaugurated in 1690. During the Napoleonic invasion, the church was closed, and only reopened for cult later in the 19th century. Restorations did not start until 1960s, and the building was reopened in 2003. Since September 2020 it has been home to the museum of poetry.

The Teatro Municipale or Municipal Theater of Piacenza is the main Neoclassical-style opera house in the city, located on Via Verdi #41, facing Piazza Sant'Antonino and flanking the Palazzo Anguissola di Cimafava Rocca in Piacenza, Italy.
