The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (Valencian pronunciation: [festiˈval inteɾnasi.oˈnal de beniˈkasim]), commonly abbreviated as FIB, is an annual music festival that takes place in the town of Benicàssim, in the Valencian Community, Spain. It focuses mainly on pop, rock, and electronica artists, as well as short films, fashion shows and art. The festival begins on the second Tuesday of July, which is when the camping grounds open - although music officially commences Thursday afternoon. FIB is notable for having bands play through the night (5 pm–8 am) and has three main stages, Las Palmas, Visa, and South Beach Dance, with capacities of approximately 30,000, 15,000 and 8,000, respectively. In 2009, the festival capacity exceeded 50,000; in 2020, more than 150,000 visited the festival over the four days the festival lasted.

Aquarama is a water park, located in Benicàssim, Castelló, Spain. The park has the eleventh-highest slide in the world named The Devil's Drop together with The Beast in Western Water Park.

Desert de les Palmes (Valencian pronunciation: [deˈzɛɾd de les ˈpalmes], Spanish: Desierto de las Palmas), also known as Serra del Desert de les Palmes is an 18.8 km long mountain range in the Plana Alta comarca, Valencian Community, Spain. Its highest point is Bartolo (729 m). The Ermita de La Magdalena 40°02′04″N 0°00′20″W, an important church for Castellonenc people, is located on a hill at the southern end of the range. The Prime Meridian crosses the Desert de les Palmes roughly in the middle. The Columbretes Islands can be seen on clear days in the horizon looking seaward from the Desert de les Palmes heights.

The Desert de les Palmes Nature Reserve (Spanish: Parque Natural del Desierto de Las Palmas, Valencian: Desert de les Palmes) is a nature preserve in the province of Castellón, in the Valencian Community, Spain.

Bartolo or Pic de Bartolo is the highest peak of the Desert de les Palmes range, Valencian Community, Spain. It reaches an elevation of 729 metres (2,392 ft) above sea level. There are antennas at the top. Bartolo is located within the Benicàssim municipal term, rising about 3 km to the north of the town. The summit offers a good view of the Mediterranean coast as well as of the nearby mountains of the range.

Castellón Airport (IATA: CDT, ICAO: LECN) is a small general aviation airport in Castellón de la Plana, on the mid-east coast of Spain, about 68 km (42 mi) north of Valencia.

Oropesa del Mar (Valencian: Orpesa) is a municipality in the comarca of Plana Alta in the Valencian Community, Spain.

The Raid on Oropesa took place on 9 June 1801 off the coast of Spain at Oropesa del Mar, when two Royal Navy brigs; HMS Kangaroo and HMS Speedy attacked the port after chasing an armed Spanish convoy. The two British ships took out a fortification of twelve guns and then sank or drove ashore all of the Spanish ships with the exception of three brigs, which they captured.

Plana Alta is a comarca in the province of Castelló in the Valencian Country (Spain). The largest town in the comarca is Castelló de la Plana, which is also the capital and largest town in the province.

Estadio Municipal de Castalia is a multi-purpose stadium in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of CD Castellón. The stadium holds 15,500 (all-seater) and was built in 1987, replacing the original Estadi Castàlia which stood on this site, but at 90° to the current layout. The pitch size is 102x70m.

Club de Campo del Mediterráneo is a country club located in Castellón, Spain. Opened in 1978, the Ramon Espinosa designed golf course was the venue for the former European Tour event, the Castelló Masters Costa Azahar. The inaugural tournament, held in October 2008, was won by home favourite Sergio García, whose father is also the club professional.

Castellón de la Plana (officially in Valencian: Castelló de la Plana), or simply Castellón (Valencian: Castelló) is the capital city of the province of Castellón, in the Valencian Community, Spain. It is located in the east of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Costa del Azahar (or Costa dels Tarongers) by the Mediterranean Sea. The mountain range known as Desert de les Palmes rises inland north of the town. According to the 2018 census, Castellón has a population of 174,264 inhabitants (called castellonencs in Valencian), ranking as the fourth most populated city in the Valencian Community (after Valencia, Alicante and Elche). The Prime Meridian, or Greenwich Meridian, intersects the 40th parallel at Castellón de la Plana and is commemorated with a monolith in Meridian Park (Parc del Meridià) located at the exact point where this occurs.
