Eaton Center (Cleveland)

1100 Superior (formerly known as the Diamond Shamrock Building, the Diamond Building, and Oswald Centre) is a skyscraper in downtown Cleveland, Ohio's emerging Nine-Twelve District, which is also home to One Cleveland Center, Ohio Savings Plaza, The 925 Building, PNC Center, and the former Eaton Center. It was built in 1972 for the important San Antonio, Texas firm of Diamond Shamrock which specialized in oil refining, it has 23 floors and rises to a height of 282 feet (86 m). It was designed by the firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill which also designed the nearby AECOM Building, and the Willis Tower in Chicago, Illinois. The firm was a leader in the modernist tower block design at the time of construction which believed in three principals: heavy metal anchoring, profuse windows for air and light, and simple muted dark colored facade paneling that gave their landmark buildings a "natural" organic look. It is located at 1100 Superior Avenue along East 12th Street. In 1994, during a water main break, a four-story section of the Diamond Building lost some of its glass from pressure of the water. In 2012, the tower's naming rights were purchased by insurance brokerage the Oswald Cos. (which is written in bright red multistory letters on the north and south sides of the tower), one of its largest tenants.

The Bryant Building is a historic retail building located in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. The building, designed by the prominent local architectural firm of Christian, Schwarzenburg and Gaede, was constructed by Mall Motor Co. as their new salesroom and service center, and was completed in 1921. The structure was purchased by Bryant Motor Co. in 1922. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on December 11, 2014.

1717 East Ninth Building, also known as the East Ohio Building, is a skyscraper in Downtown Cleveland, the U.S. state of Ohio's emerging Nine-Twelve District. Completed in 1959, it was one of the first modernist high-rises in Cleveland, along with the Illuminating Building. It is currently the 24th-tallest building in Cleveland, at 275 feet (84 meters).

The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist (commonly referred to locally as St. John's Cathedral) is a historic Roman Catholic church building located at 1007 Superior Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. Completed and consecrated in 1852, it is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Numerous renovations have enlarged and changed some aspects of the cathedral, but it remains essentially the same since its construction.

St. John's College in Cleveland, Ohio, originally known as Sisters' College, was a school for teachers and nurses established in 1928 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. In fall 1974, enrollment included 619 women and 51 men. The school closed in 1975. The facilities were then merged with the adjacent St. John's Cathedral. A school of the same name in Cleveland was founded by Bishop Louis Rappe in 1854.Notable alumni include Judy Robson, Majority Leader of the Wisconsin State Senate (2007-), Michael Pennock (1945-2009), Catholic author.

For the theater that was once in New York City see Fourteenth Street Theatre The 14th Street Theatre, located at 2037 E. 14th Street in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, United States, was a 288-seat theater built in 2002 as part of Playhouse Square. Originally built for Second City Cleveland, the theater closed in 2013 and is now Cibreo Privato, the private dining space for the Italian restaurant Cibreo, owned and operated by Driftwood Restaurant Group.

Reserve Square is a two-building skyscraper mixed use apartment complex in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Both buildings have 23 floors and are 266 feet (81 m) high. The Square is directly west of the senior residential Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority's Bohn Towers. The complex was originally called Park Centre and was an extension of the Erieview Plan. One of the goals of this plan was to create residential zones in downtown Cleveland, however, by the 1970s with completion of the Tower at Erieview, One Erieview Plaza and Reserve Square this was only partially achieved.

The Ohio Savings Plaza is a commercial high-rise building in Cleveland, Ohio. The building rises 253 feet (77 m) in Downtown Cleveland. It contains 17 floors, and was completed in 1969. The Ohio Savings Plaza currently stands as the 33rd-tallest building in the city, tied in rank with the Penton Media Building and Ameritech Center. The architect who designed the building was George S. Ryder. Ohio Savings Plaza has a tunnel which can be accessed from within a janitor's closet and leads directly to a restroom in the Phoenix Coffee across the street.

The Erieview Tower (also known as the Tower at Erieview, 100 Erieview, or the Erieview Plaza Tower) is a skyscraper featuring elements of the International style located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, United States. The building has 40 stories, rises to a height of 529 ft (161 m), and has 703,000 square feet (65,300 m2) of office space. It was built at a cost of $24,000,000. It is slated to become the Cleveland W Hotel.

The Bohn Towers is a 1972-erected 204-foot 22-story high-rise apartment building complex in the Reserve Square area of downtown Cleveland. It is named after one of the former directors of the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, Ernest J. Bohn, who directed the agency responsible for public housing in the urban area of Cleveland from 1933 until 1968. The Bohn is known for its modern style apartment dwelling design, which almost approaches the brutalist style. The Bohn sits directly east of the Reserve Square East and West Towers. The property is listed in the CMHA registry as a senior living high rise in the downtown neighborhood of Cleveland and is one of only a handful of such properties in the central business district. In recent years the city of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County have experienced a great demand and need for such housing as older couples shed the demands of maintaining suburban housing and seek to live in the urban centers of Cleveland, Akron, Lakewood and Parma.

One Cleveland Center is the fifth tallest skyscraper located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, following Erieview Tower. The building has 31 stories, rises to a height of 450.01 feet (137.16 m), and is located at 1375 East 9th Street. It has about 530,014 square feet (49,239.9 m2) of office space. It was purchased on May 15, 2008 for $86.3 million by Optima International LLC, a Miami-based real estate investment firm led by Chaim Schochet and 2/3rd owned by the Privat Group, one of Ukraine's largest business and banking groups.

AmTrust Financial Building, formerly known as McDonald Investment Center, Key Center and the Central National Bank Building, is a commercial high-rise building in Cleveland, Ohio. The building rises 308 feet (94 m) in Downtown Cleveland. It contains 23 floors, and was completed in 1969. The building currently stands as the 18th-tallest building in the city. When first constructed, the tower stood as the 5th-tallest building in Cleveland. The architect who designed the building was Charles Luckman.
