Tylersville (also known as Pug Muncy) is an unincorporated community in central West Chester Township, Butler County, Ohio, United States. It was laid out in 1842 by Daniel Pocock and named for the President of the United States at the time, John Tyler. Its name lives on in a major road of northern West Chester Township, which is at Exit 22 on I-75.

Maud is an unincorporated community in central West Chester Township, Butler County, Ohio, United States, located on Cincinnati–Dayton Road (also known as the Dixie Highway). Originally called Shoemaker, it was renamed for Richard Maud, the town's first postmaster and was formerly a stop on the Dayton Short Line, which became part of the Big Four Railroad. An important road in West Chester and Liberty Townships is Maud Hughes Road. Around the late 1860s or early 1870s, Maud was the site of an attempt by a local entrepreneur to construct a mill that worked via perpetual motion. A large crowd gathered to watch the mill start, and when it did not, laughter ensued. Nothing was heard from the unnamed entrepreneur again, and the mill quickly vanished. The local newspapers did not record the event, and the only record of its occurrence was transmitted by elderly residents of Maud to one William Marion Miller of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Lakota West High School is a four-year, public high school in West Chester Township, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is a member of the Lakota Local School District, which comprises both West Chester Township and Liberty Township. The district was originally unified under one high school, Lakota High School, until 1997 when the district expanded and formed two new high schools – Lakota West and Lakota East. Enrollment for Lakota West exceeds 2,500 students, and the school's radio station, WLHS 89.9 FM, is a remnant of the former high school and is staffed by students from both Lakota East and Lakota West. The OHSAA Division 1 school's mascot is the Firebird, derived from the former district's mascot, the Thunderbird, and the school colors are red and white with black trim. Sports teams compete as a member of the Greater Miami Conference (GMC). The school year is divided into two semesters with two quarters each.

AK Steel operated eight steel plants and two tube manufacturing plants in Ashland, Kentucky, Butler, Pennsylvania, Coshocton, Ohio, Dearborn, Michigan, Mansfield, Ohio, Middletown, Ohio, Rockport, Indiana, and Zanesville, Ohio. The company had manufacturing operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and facilities in Western Europe. AK Steel produced flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, primarily for the automotive, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors, including electrical power, and distributors and converters markets. The company also provided carbon and stainless steel tubing products, die design and tooling, and hot- and cold-stamped components. Of AK Steel's 2018 sales, 63% went to the automotive industry, 15% to infrastructure and manufacturing industry and 22% to distributors and converters.The company was criticized for its record regarding pollution and worker safety. In 2019, AK Steel was named GM Supplier of the Year for Non Fabricated Steel by General Motors for the second consecutive year. AK Steel was also presented with a Smart Pillar Award from Ford, as a top-performing global supplier at the 21st annual Ford World Excellence Awards.

The Williamson Mound Archeological District is an archaeological site in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. Located north of Maud in Butler County, the mound appears to have been the work of peoples of the Hopewell tradition.Although a small hole was dug into the top of the Williamson Mound at some point before 1972, the mound remains in premium condition. It sits atop a ridgeline above an intermittent stream in a rural part of increasingly urbanized Butler County.As one of the best preserved Hopewell mounds in its region, the Williamson Mound is potentially a significant archaeological site. For this reason, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

EnterTRAINment Junction is an indoor model railroad display located in West Chester Township, Ohio. This 25,000 square foot display consists of over 90 G-scale trains encompassing the early era of American railroading, the middle era, and the modern era. The facility also includes the American Railroading Museum, an expo center, and a fun house. The display takes its name from an O gauge layout that existed in the Mall of America from 1992 to 2000.

Lakota High School was a high school in the Lakota School District in Butler County, Ohio; it encompasses both West Chester (formerly Union) Township and Liberty Township. The Thunderbird was the Lakota mascot, drawing on the Native American name, T-Birds being a common nickname. Much of the district was rural when originally established, especially the more northern Liberty Township, but became predominately suburban with population growth and the expansion of metropolitan Cincinnati, Ohio. The school was built in 1959. It eventually split into two high schools in 1997: Lakota East High School and Lakota West High School. The Lakota High School site, on Tylersville Road in West Chester, Ohio, is now used as both a Freshman School and Early Childhood Center for the Lakota School District.
