Boughton is a hamlet in Lincolnshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Asgarby and Howell.

East Kesteven was a rural district in Lincolnshire, Parts of Kesteven from 1931 to 1974. It was formed under a County Review Order, by the merger of most of the Sleaford Rural District and the parish of Haceby from Grantham Rural District. The district was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, going to form part of the new North Kesteven district.

It includes the hamlet of Boughton; and its Post Town is Sleaford.

Burton Pedwardine is a hamlet and civil parish in the district of North Kesteven, Lincolnshire, England. The population at the 2011 census was 187. The hamlet is situated approximately 4 miles (6 km) south-east from the market town of Sleaford and south-west of the village of Heckington. Burton Pedwardine is named after a Herefordshire family, the Pedwardines, who acquired the hall and manor through marriage about 1330.The village Grade II listed Anglican parish church is dedicated to St Andrew. It was rebuilt by Sir Roger Pedwardine in the early 14th century on a cruciform plan with central tower. The tower collapsed in 1802, and the church was rebuilt. It was again rebuilt in Decorated style in 1870, retaining its original transept from the pre-1802 church. A grille for the exhibition of relics, and a lead effigy of Dame Alice Pedwardine (c.1350), wife of Roger, lie in the east wall. Against the west wall is the tomb of Thomas Horsman (d. 1610), with effigies of Horsman and his wife Mary. The west wall contains decorative Saxon and Norman elements.The parish holds the site of Mareham Grange, which was the property of Sir Thomas Horsman in the late 16th, early 17th century. Earlier it was held by Sempringham Priory. The site may also have been the location of Mareham or Cold Mareham, a lost medieval village. Near the Mareham Grange earthworks is the base of a 15th-century wayside cross.A further Grade II listed building is Glebe Farmhouse on the village's Main Street.A notable murder occurred in the parish in 1728, when Captain Thomas Mitchell, a justice of the peace, killed a bailiff named Pennystone Warden of Ewerby. The captain was committed to Lincoln Castle by two of his fellow magistrates and subsequently sentenced to death at Lincoln Assizes.The Peterborough to Lincoln Railway Line runs past the village with both Scredington Road and White Cross Lane passing over the railway.

Ewerby Thorpe is a hamlet in the civil parish of Ewerby and Evedon, in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It lies 2 miles (3.2 km) north from the A17 road, 4.5 miles (7 km) east from Sleaford, and 12 miles (19 km) west from Boston. The village of Ewerby lies just to the west, and Howell just to the south, with the River Slea running 1 mile (1.6 km) to the north. The hamlet is the site of the ancient village of Austhorpe. In the Domesday account Austhorpe is written as "Oustorp". It consisted of 8 villagers, with 3 ploughlands, a meadow of 44 acres (0.18 km2) and woodland of 23 acres (0.093 km2). In 1086 lordship of the manor transferred to Kolsveinn of Lincoln.The land immediately to the north-west, south of the River Slea and stretching to South Kyme, was known as Ewerby Thorpe Fen. In the 13th century it was the part of the manorial lands of William de la Laund. He gave Ewerby Thorpe Fen, then called le Mykeldyke, to Haverholme Priory.

Sleaford was a rural district in Lincolnshire, Parts of Kesteven, England, from 1894 to 1931. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Sleaford rural sanitary district. In 1931, under a County Review Order, it was abolished, with a small part going to West Kesteven Rural District, the parishes of Leadenham, Welbourn and Wellingore going to North Kesteven Rural District, and the larger part going to the East Kesteven Rural District.

Evedon is a village in the civil parish of Ewerby and Evedon, in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 2 miles (3.2 km) north-east from the town of Sleaford. In 1885 Kelly's Directory noted that Evedon was a parish of 1,333 acres (5 km2) and three farms, on heavy soil that produced crops of wheat, oats, beans, barley and turnips, and seeds – small potatoes used as seed stock. Parish population in 1881 was 73, with Murray Finch-Hatton DL JP as sole landowner. The parish was entitled to send children to Sleaford Grammar School, and two to the Free School at Ewerby. The parish register dates from 1599. By 1933 parish land had increased to 1,647 acres (7 km2), with 5 acres of water – population in 1921 was now 81. There were still three farms, with two farm bailiffs, and a dairyman. The nearest money order and telephone office was at Ewerby.The former civil paris of Evedon was amalgamated on 1 April 1931 with that of Ewerby, to form "Ewerby and Evedon".The parish church, dedicated to Saint Mary, is a Grade II* listed building dating from the 13th century and restored in 1898, and built of limestone.Evedon Manor House, once the seat of the Bertie family, is a Grade II listed 16th-century house built from limestone, with 19th-century alterations.

Heckington, with 1,491 households, is one of the largest villages in Lincolnshire. The population of the civil parish including Boughton was 3,353 at the 2011 census.
