Area codes 303, 720 and 983 are telephone area codes in the North American Numbering Plan for the north-central portion of the U.S. state of Colorado. The numbering plan area comprises Denver and Boulder, as well as their surrounding suburbs, including Lakewood, Littleton, Longmont, Aurora, and Castle Rock. Area code 303 is the original area code, while area codes 720 and 983 were added (1998, 2022 respectively) to form an overlay plan for the area, meaning that the same geographic service area is served by all area codes and that ten-digit dialing is required for all calls made within the service area.

Prospect Ridge Academy (PRA) is a K-12 charter school in the Adams 12 School District in Broomfield, Colorado, United States. It was founded as a K-6 school, then added a grade each year. It has now become a full K-12 school, with the high school being built three years ahead of schedule due to popular demand. The inaugural class graduated in May 2018.

Serene, Colorado is an extinct coal mining company town that was owned by the Rocky Mountain Fuel Company. Serene was located at the site of the Columbine Mine and had company housing and a coal preparation plant. The Serene post office operated from January 25, 1923, until August 31, 1942. Serene was the site of the Columbine Mine Massacre on November 21, 1927.

The Columbine Mine massacre, sometimes called the first Columbine massacre, occurred in 1927, in the town of Serene, Colorado. A fight broke out between Colorado state militia and a group of striking coal miners, during which the unarmed miners were attacked with firearms. The miners testified that machine guns were fired at them, which the state police disputed. Six strikers were killed, and dozens were injured.

Stargate School, also called Stargate Charter School, is a charter school for gifted and talented children in Thornton, Colorado, in the Adams 12 Five Star Schools District in Adams County, Colorado, in the United States. It was founded in 1994, and teaches children from kindergarten to 12th grade. The name Stargate combines "Star" from the name of the school district with the initial letters of "gifted and talented education".

Erie Municipal Airport (ICAO: KEIK, FAA LID: EIK, formerly 48V) is an airport in Weld County, Colorado, United States. It is owned by the Town of Erie and located three nautical miles (6 km) south of its central business district. This airport was included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility. It was formerly a private airport called Tri-County Airport.The airport is at the southwestern corner of Weld County, bordering Boulder County to the west and the City and County of Broomfield to the south. This particular part of Broomfield was in Adams County prior to the creation of Broomfield County in 2001. The airport is on the north side of State Highway 7 (Baseline Road) about 4 miles (6.4 km) west of I-25. Adjacent to the airport is the Erie Airpark subdivision, a residential area designed for private-plane commuters. Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned EIK by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA (which assigned EIK to Yeysk, Russia).

Erie High School is the sole high school in the town of Erie, Colorado. The school is a part of the St. Vrain Valley School District. The school was formed by the separation of Erie Middle and High School. Currently there are over 1400 students attending the school. It is anticipated that each Freshman class will now enter Erie High School with around 400 students. The building was designed to honor the town of Erie's mining history, as the color scheme is of the color of coal, though the school colors are tiger orange and black. The school opened its doors in 2005 and was later expanded to accommodate enrollment growth in 2018.

The Town of Erie is a Statutory Town located in Weld and Boulder counties, Colorado, United States. The town population was 30,038 at the 2020 United States Census, a +65.64% increase since the 2010 United States Census. At the 2020 census, 17,387 (58%) Erie residents lived in Weld County and 12,651 (42%) lived in Boulder County. Erie is a part of the Denver-Aurora, CO Combined Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. Erie is located just west of Interstate 25, with easy access to Interstate 70, Denver International Airport and Colorado's entire Front Range. Erie's Planning Area spans 48 square miles (120 km2), extending from the north side of State Highway 52 south to State Highway 7, and between US 287 on the west and Interstate 25 to the east. Erie is approximately 35 minutes from Denver International Airport, 25 minutes from Denver and 20 minutes from Boulder. The town was named after Erie, Pennsylvania, the former home of early settler Richard Van Valkenburg.
