Hacı Bayram Veli Camii is a mosque in old Ankara. Along with Kocatepe Mosque it is one of the best known mosques in Ankara. Hacı Bayram Mosque was built during the Ottoman Empire period. It was named after the Turkish Sufi and poet Hacı Bayram-ı Veli on behalf of the latter. Hacı Bayram Mosque is one of the touristic places of Ankara. The site was added in 2016 to the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Turkey.

Ankara Social Sciences University (ASBU, Turkish: Ankara Sosyal Bilimler Üniversitesi) is a public university located in Ankara, Turkey. Founded in 2013, it is Turkey's first public research university specialized in social sciences. As of the 2022–23 academic year, the university had 5,255 students, including 3,594 undergraduates, 1,332 master's students, and 328 doctoral students. The academic staff consists of 397 members.

The Roman Road of Ankara or Cardo Maximus is an ancient Roman road in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The road was found in 1995 by Turkish archaeologist Cevdet Bayburtluoğlu. It is 216 metres (709 ft) long and 6.7 metres (22 ft) wide. Many ancient artifacts were discovered during the excavations along the road and most of them are currently displayed at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations.

The 2007 Ankara bombing was a suicide attack that occurred in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, on 22 May 2007. Six people were reported killed, including one of Pakistani origin, and 121 people were wounded. A seventh person died from his injuries on 7 June and another on 17 June raising the death toll to eight. A ninth person died on 4 July from his injuries.

Victory Monument (Turkish: Zafer Anıtı also known as Ulus Atatürk Anıtı) is a monument in Ankara, Turkey.

Ulus is a quarter in Ankara, Turkey and is located at the center of the capital city. It was once the heart of old Ankara. The name means "tribe, nation" in Turkish. It is now a predominately a commercial and tourist area made up of banks, malls, shops, hotels, businesses, restaurants, and many historical sites. The first Turkish Grand National Assembly convened here in 1923 in the parliament building at Ulus Square (Turkish: Ulus Meydanı), which still stands in original. Across from the historical parliament building is the city's oldest hotel, the Ankara Palas, where Atatürk had stayed. Ankara Citadel, another historical attraction, is located immediate east of Ulus .In the center of Ulus Square, there is a memorial called Monument of Republic, which was erected in 1927 as a symbol of the Turkish War of Independence. The Statue of Victory at Ulus Square was depicted on the reverse of the Turkish 2½ lira banknote of 1939-1952 and of the 50 lira banknotes of 1951–1979.A shopping mall situated next to Ulus square was subject to a terrorist bombing on 22 May 2007.

The Turkish Blind Sports Federation (Turkish: Türkiye Görme Engelliler Spor Federasyonu, GESF) is the governing body to encourage and develop the sport for the blind and vision-impaired in Turkey. It is a member of the International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). In 1990, the Turkish Disabled Sports Federation was formed, and the Blind Sport Federation was created as part of this organization in Ankara. On March 7, 2000, the Blind Sport Federation separated as an independent organization. In accordance with the developments on blind sport in Europe, the Federation was officially established on July 12, 2000.Sports promoted by the federation are: athletics, chess, futsal B1 and B2/B3, goalball women's and men's leagues, judo, cycling, powerlifting as well as swimming women's and men's short and long course.

The National Intelligence Organization (Turkish: Millî İstihbarat Teşkilatı, MİT) is the state intelligence agency of Turkey.Established in 1965 instead of the National Security Service, to gather information about the current and potential threats from inside and outside against all the elements that make up Turkey's indivisible integrity, constitutional order, existence, independence, security and national power, take precautions and take precautions when necessary. The current headquarters of MIT is the KALE building in Ankara Etimesgut. The MIT co-operates with the Central Intelligence Agency and the intelligence agencies of Russia. In addition, it has close communication and cooperation with the private Turkish security contractor SADAT International Defense Consultancy Inc. Its operations and missions are classified. In practice, religious minorities in Turkey are barred from careers in the MIT.

Turkey Karate Federation (Turkish: Türkiye Karate Federasyonu, TKF) is the governing body for Karate in Turkey. It aims to govern, encourage and develop the sport for all throughout the country. Karate sport was governed in the 1970s under the Turkish Judo Federation. In 1980, the federation was renamed Judo and Karate. Finally, it became an independent organization in 1990. It is headquartered in Ankara. TKF is a member of the European Karate Federation (EKF). The federation organizes the national Karate events, and European and World championships hosted by Turkey.

Turkish Wrestling Federation (Turkish: Türkiye Güreş Federasyonu, TGF) is the governing body for wrestling in Turkey. It aims to govern, encourage and develop the sport for all throughout the country. TGF has been established in 1923, and is headquartered in Ankara. TGF is a member of United World Wrestling (UWW), formerly known as the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA).The federation organizes the national wrestling events, and European and World championships hosted by Turkey. In addition, the TGF promotes and organizes traditional wrestling styles such as oil wrestling and Karakucak.
