Chapleau is a provincial electoral district in the Outaouais region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It is located within the city of Gatineau. It was created for the 1981 election from a part of Papineau electoral district. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory shifted slightly to the west. It gained territory west of Autoroute 50 from Gatineau electoral district, but lost some of its easternmost territory to Papineau electoral district. It is named after former Quebec Premier Joseph-Adolphe Chapleau who was in power from 1879 to 1882. For its first four decades, the riding was a Liberal stronghold. Located in the strongly federalist Outaouais region of West Quebec, the riding has many immigrants, federal public servants, and bilingual households, which are all demographic groups that tilt heavily towards the Liberals during provincial elections. More than 70% of the riding voted against sovereignty during the 1995 referendum. The riding fell out of Liberal hands for the first time in 2018, when the Coalition Avenir Québec seized it en route to taking government.

The Centre Slush Puppie is a 4,080-seat arena in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. It is home to the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Naming rights for the centre are held by Slush Puppie. The centre also hosts three community rinks, Glace Desjardins, Glace Gérik Construction, and Glace Dilawri Auto, which each have a capacity between 240 and 480.

It is headed by the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, which is both an ecclesiastical and diplomatic office, with the rank of ambassador. The Holy See first created a Delegation to Canada and Newfoundland on 3 August 1899. It became the Apostolic Delegation to Canada on 31 March 1949 when the British Dominion of Newfoundland became the tenth province of Canada. Once Canada and the Holy See reached agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations and the exchange of ambassadors, Pope Paul VI erected the Apostolic Nunciature to Canada on 16 October 1969.

The Gatineau River (French: Rivière Gatineau, French pronunciation: [gatino]) is a river in western Quebec, Canada, which rises in lakes north of the Baskatong Reservoir and flows south to join the Ottawa River at the city of Gatineau, Quebec. The river is 386 kilometres (240 mi) long and drains an area of 23,700 square kilometres (9,200 sq mi).

Stornoway is the name of the official residence of the leader of the Official Opposition in Canada, and has been used as such since 1950. It is provided in recognition of the opposition leader's position. Located at 541 Acacia Avenue in the Rockcliffe Park area of Ottawa, Ontario. Stornoway has assessed value $4,225,000 (2008) (based on this value, which is only an approximation of the market value, the municipal property taxes are calculated) and is maintained with $70,000 a year in government funds. The property has been owned and managed by the National Capital Commission since April 1986. The lot size, with a frontage of 228 feet (69 m) and depth of 225 feet (69 m), is slightly irregular. The property is 5.1 km (3.2 mi) from Ottawa's Parliament Buildings, whereas the prime minister's official residence is only 3.0 km (1.9 mi) away from Parliament. It is located in an area which contains many ambassadorial residences.
