Cathedral Hill is a neighborhood and a hill, in the Western Addition district of San Francisco, California.

The Archdiocese of San Francisco (Latin: Archdiœcesis Sancti Francisci; Spanish: Archidiócesis de San Francisco) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in the northern California region of the United States. It covers the City and County of San Francisco and the Counties of Marin and San Mateo. The Archdiocese of San Francisco was canonically erected on July 29, 1853, by Pope Pius IX and its cathedral is the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption. This archdiocese is the metropolitan see of a province which also has the dioceses of Honolulu (Hawaii), Las Vegas (Nevada), Reno (Nevada), Salt Lake City (Utah), Oakland (California), San Jose (California), Santa Rosa (California), Sacramento (California), and Stockton (California).

Family Service Agency of San Francisco (FSA) was founded in 1889 as Associated Charities by Katharine Felton (1873-1940). FSASF is the oldest nonsectarian, nonprofit charitable social-services provider in the City and County of San Francisco. It relies on contributions from government, private donors, and private clients. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, commonly known as SHC or SH, is a Catholic school located in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Founded in 1852, Sacred Heart Cathedral is the oldest Catholic secondary school and was the first co-ed Catholic high school in San Francisco. SHC is owned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco.

The Japanese American National Library is a private non-lending library and resource center in San Francisco's Japantown for the collection and preservation of materials relating to Japanese Americans. It has been in operation since 1969. The Hotel Normandie, was a historic hotel, once situated in what is currently known as Japantown, San Francisco, held significant historical value. It occupied the southeastern intersection of Sutter and Gough Streets from 1908 onwards. Originally a four-story masonry structure, the hotel underwent renovations in the twentieth century, resulting in the removal of its classical ornamentation in favor of a more modernized appearance. As of today, the Hotel Normandie has undergone a name change and is now known as the Hotel Broadmoor.

Hotel Majestic in San Francisco, California is a historic hotel built in 1902. Because of the 1906 earthquake and fire that was stopped at Van Ness Avenue, it became the longest-operating hotel in the city.

The Kinmon Gakuen (金門学園) or Golden Gate Institute is a Japanese language school in San Francisco, California, located at 2031 Bush Street. It was established in 1911 with 133 students. They currently offer programs to children from kindergarten to high school. In 1927, the original art of Henry Yoshitaka Kiyama's Four Immigrants Manga was exhibited there. The school was forced to close during World War II and was not able to reopen until 1949. It was visited by Japanese Emperor Hirohito in 1933 and 1935, and then-Crown Prince Akihito in 1960. The institute celebrated the 100th anniversary of its establishment and received Japan's Foreign Minister's Commendation in 2011.

The Queen Anne Hotel is a hotel in San Francisco, on Sutter Street. The hotel is a historic 1890 Victorian mansion, in the namesake Queen Anne architectural style, and decorated in the painted lady style. It was originally a girl's boarding school. It narrowly survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The hotel is a popular site for ghost hunting. The headmistress of the former finishing school, Mary Lake, is said to haunt her former office in Room 410. The hotel's paranormal history was explored in an episode of the television show Haunted Hotels.
