Pegasus Academy (formerly known as Holly Hall School and Holly Hall Maths and Computing College) is a mixed secondary school located in the Holly Hall area of Dudley, West Midlands, England. Situated by the Scotts Green roundabout near the Russells Hall Estate, it was originally opened in 1968 to replace an earlier, smaller building several hundred yards further along the road towards Brierley Hill. It was originally a secondary modern school until adopting comprehensive status in September 1975, three years after the entry age was increased from 11 to 12. The school reverted to being an 11-16 comprehensive in September 1990. The school had grant-maintained status in the 1990s, before receiving Mathematics and Computing College specialist status in September 2002. In December 2007, plans were unveiled by Dudley council for the school to be rebuilt and change to academy status, which would have made it the first school of its kind in the borough. The plan also included taking in some pupils from Pensnett High School, which was earmarked for closure with other pupils also transferring to The Crestwood School at Kingswinford. However, these plans were scrapped by the local council in March 2008 as the school was deemed "too successful" for academy status. However the school was converted to academy status in 2011. In September 2017 the academy joined The Dudley Academies Trust, under the sponsorship of Dudley College. It was renamed the Pegasus Academy the following September.

Sutton School is a coeducational foundation special school, located in the Russells Hall Estate in Dudley, West Midlands, England.It provides education to pupils aged 11 to 16 years and caters for approximately 160 pupils. Pupils at the school have a Statement of Special Educational Needs, and are deemed to have moderate learning difficulties.The current school buildings were constructed in 1962 and the school underwent a significant expansion in 1997. An ICT suite was constructed in 2013. The school has also gained specialist status as a Business and Enterprise College.

Holly Hall is a residential area of Dudley in the West Midlands of England. It is situated around the A461 major road towards Brierley Hill and Stourbridge. The area is probably best known for being the location of Holly Hall Academy, a modern secondary school which was built in 1968 to replace an older building further down the road towards Brierley Hill. Dudley Cemetery was erected on the main Stourbridge Road through Holly Hall in the late 19th century. Most of Holly Hall was developed after 1920, with a mix of private and council housing. Duncan Edwards, the footballer who died in February 1958 as a result of injuries sustained in the Munich air disaster, was born at 23 Malvern Crescent in Holly Hall on 1 October 1936, although he spent most of his life living at Elm Road on the Priory Estate about two miles away.

Russells Hall Hospital is an NHS general hospital located in Dudley, West Midlands, England, managed by the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital is south-west of the town centre on the A4101 road, which connects to the Kingswinford area of the borough.

Harts Hill railway station was a station on the Oxford-Worcester-Wolverhampton Line. It was opened in 1895 by a GWR keen to invest in what was perceived to be the lucrative passenger area of the Black Country, and it was intended to serve the communities between Brierley Hill and Dudley. It closed, like many passenger stations, in 1917 due to the First World War, but was consequently never reopened when the passengers failed to materialise. Two railways/routes served the station - originally the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway and the South Staffordshire Railway, which later became the Great Western Railway and London, Midland and Scottish Railway (through amalgamation of the London and North Western Railway) respectively. There are no remaining signs of the station, and the road from which it was accessed has long since been widened to create a dual carriageway. It is proposed to be reopened with a Midland Metro extension which will divert from the line at this point and run through Merry Hill Shopping Centre before and join on to Dudley and then Wednesbury while heavy rail would continue onto Round Oak.

Parkhead Viaduct is a railway viaduct in Dudley, West Midlands, England. The original viaduct was a wooden structure erected in 1850 to carry the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway over Parkhead Locks on the Dudley Canal, near to the southern mouth of the Dudley Tunnel. The current brick viaduct was built in 1880 and it is believed that the original wooden structure is still encased within its successor.Use of the viaduct had fallen by the late 1960s due to the closure of passenger stations on the route, but the line remained open until 19 March 1993, when the section of the railway between Walsall and Brierley Hill was closed. The most recent train believed to have crossed the viaduct was a cable laying train on 1 July 1993, nearly four months after the line's closure. The section of track over Parkhead Viaduct was removed in about 1995, with most of the track between Highgate Road and Blowers Green Road following in 1998 due to the construction of a new road bridge over the line nearby. The structure of the viaduct is still intact, but has fallen into disrepair and will undergo extensive refurbishment in order to be reutilised, with 2023 being the likely completion date to the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill extension of the West Midlands Metro tram network, which will make use of the viaduct.

Woodside is a residential area of Dudley in the West Midlands of England.

Milking Bank is a residential area of Dudley, West Midlands, England. It is a modern development which began in about 1984 with the construction of new houses in an isolated area more than a mile to the west of Dudley town centre, near the border with Sedgley, which had been mined for coal since the 19th century. Further developments of private housing took place on this land between Himley Road and Dibdale Road and by the end of the 1980s there were several hundred houses in Milking Bank, as well as a primary school. Further development took place after the demolition of nearby Burton Road Hospital in 1994, with the construction of further housing on the north side of Dibdale Road. At the end of the decade, further houses - as well as a Co-operative society supermarket - were built on the west of Milking Bank joining onto Grosvenor Road. This latest development was a mix of private homes as well as ones leased out by a housing association. The estate is served by a public house, the Meadow Lark, as well as a doctor's surgery. A Spar minimarket opened in the mid-1980s, around the time that the first houses were built. This later became a Bargain Booze store, but it was burnt down in a suspected arson attack in 2011. This was then rebuilt and for a short time opened as a Costcutter, but by January 2015 had closed. As of June 2018 this shop is now occupied by a "local" shop franchise.

Fens Pools (grid reference SO920886) is a 37.6 hectares (93 acres) biological site of Special Scientific Interest in the West Midlands. The site was notified in 1989. under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and is currently managed by the Country Trust.
