St Michaels railway station is a railway station in St Michael's Hamlet, Liverpool, England, on the Northern Line of the Merseyrail suburban system. It is situated near, but not on St Michael's Road, Aigburth, a short distance to the south of the Lark Lane and Sefton Park neighbourhoods. The main station building sits at street level, over the lines which are in a cutting. Leading down to the platforms, from apertures in the station building, are ramps which were built for the International Garden Festival in 1984.

St Michael's Hamlet, also known as St Michael-in-the-Hamlet or simply St Michael's, is a suburb of Liverpool, Merseyside, England and a Liverpool City Council Ward. It is located to the south of the city, bordered by Dingle, Aigburth and Mossley Hill.

St Michael's Church, also known as St Michael-in-the-Hamlet Church, is in St. Michael's Church Road, St Michael's Hamlet, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The church contains much cast iron in its structure, and its citation in the National Heritage List for England states it has "one of the earliest and most thorough uses of industrial materials in a major building". It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Liverpool, the archdeaconry of Liverpool, and the deanery of Toxteth and Wavertree. Its benefice is united with those of Christ Church, Toxteth Park, and St Andrew, Liverpool.

Riverside is a Liverpool City Council Ward in the Liverpool Riverside Parliamentary constituency. It contains a part of Toxteth, the Dingle and the southern part of the city centre. The population of the ward taken at the 2011 census was 18,422. It was formed for the 2004 Municipal elections from the former Abercromby and Dingle wards.

The International Garden Festival was a garden festival recognised by the International Association of Horticultural producers (AIPH) and the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), which was held in Liverpool, England from 2 May to 14 October 1984. It was the first such event held in Britain, and became the model for several others held during the 1980s and early 1990s. The aim was to revitalise tourism and the city of Liverpool which had suffered cutbacks, and the idea came from Conservative Environment Minister Michael Heseltine. The festival was hugely popular, attracting 3,380,000 visitors.

The Turner Home (formerly the Turner Memorial Home, then the Turner Nursing Home) is in Dingle Lane, Toxteth, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. Founded for the care of sick and disadvantaged men, it continues to function as a registered residential and nursing home for men. The building is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Otterspool Tower is a name commonly given to a supertall skyscraper that was proposed in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Developers, Wiggins Group, first touted the idea in 1995 before moving forward with the proposal in 1998. Also dubbed the "Scousescraper", the building was set to be 305 m (1,000 ft) high and would have become the tallest building in Europe at the time. It was never built. Part of a £750 million regeneration vision of the former Festival Gardens site, the "grandiose" tower was planned to be predominantly leisure based, including such features as a 2,500 bed five-star hotel, a theme park and a giant waterfall.However, following negative reception, the plans were ultimately confirmed scrapped in late 1999; the developers subsequently claimed the proposal had only ever been made to "test the water", rather than being a truly serious concept.

King's Leadership Academy Liverpool (formerly Shorefields School and then University Academy Liverpool) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in the Dingle area of Liverpool, England.Previously a foundation school administered by Liverpool City Council, Shorefields School converted to academy status in 2012 and was renamed University Academy Liverpool. The school was sponsored by the University of Chester Academies Trust, In 2015, due to ongoing concerns regarding UCATs sponsorship, low exam grade outcomes, and interim leadership and management, the Department for Education changed the sponsor of University Academy Liverpool to King's Leadership Academy in Warrington (now the Great Schools Trust) who appointed a new principal and leadership team. The school was then renamed King's Leadership Academy Liverpool. King's Leadership Academy Liverpool offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels, NVQs, City and Guilds qualifications and further BTECs.

Lark Lane is a street in Liverpool, England, noted for its cafés, bars, boutiques, music venues and bistros and has a bohemian reputation. Its proximity to student residences, open green space and the variety of bars and restaurants makes it a popular venue as an alternative to the city centre.The street leads from the Victorian Sefton Park to Aigburth Road, and is situated between Sefton Park district and the Aigburth district. At the Sefton Park end, the street narrows at a pair of stone gateposts which mark the entrance to Aigburth Drive (the road around the park) and the park itself. The street originally had a local police station, the elaborate building for which is now in use as a community centre. For a short time a nearby side road housed a motor museum. The nearest train station to Lark Lane is St Michaels, west of Aigburth Road in the former St. Michael's Hamlet. In 2007, footballer Daniel Agger bought two restaurants on Lark Lane: Que Pasa and 52 Lark Lane.In 2008, a novel was published, Angels Chic by Arjuna Krishna-Das, set largely around Lark Lane and its counter-culture circa 1990. The book, Powder, by Keva Samson, begins the characters' timelines for the story in Lark Lane and frequently refers to it throughout the story.

Toxteth Unitarian Chapel is in Park Road, Dingle, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. Since the 1830s it has been known as The Ancient Chapel of Toxteth. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. and continues to be in use as a Unitarian chapel. It is a member of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the umbrella organisation for British Unitarians.

The Motor Museum (previously called the Pink Museum) is a music recording studio based in Liverpool, England, and owned by Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). A number of popular music artists have recorded at the premises, including Oasis, The La's, The Coral, Ben Howard, Jake Bugg, The 1975, Atomic Kitten, Tom Odell and Tribes. Music producer Mike Crossey used it as a base for recording the Arctic Monkeys and Blood Red Shoes.In 2012, Al Groves took over as the Motor Museum's resident producer. Already an established producer on the Liverpool music scene, he has continued the work of establishing the Motor Museum's reputation as one of the most desirable recording locations in the UK, having worked with artists like The Tea Street Band and Bring Me the Horizon.In addition to the usual array of equipment typical of most professional recording environments, the Motor Museum has a number of special features which have been credited with giving both the creative and recording process a unique edge, including its stone room, which adds unique ambient quality to recordings, especially those of drums. The effect of the stone room can be heard on many of the tracks recorded at the Motor Museum, such as at the start of “Supersonic” by Oasis.

Dingle railway station is a disused underground railway station located on the Liverpool Overhead Railway (LOR), at the south end of Park Road, Dingle, Liverpool. It was the only below ground station on the line. Trains accessed the station via a half-mile tunnel, bored from the cliff face at Herculaneum Dock to Park Road. It is the last remaining part of the Overhead railway, with the surface entrance still standing. The former platform and track area were in use as a garage called Roscoe Engineering until 2015.
