St. Agnes' Church in Burmantofts, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England is an active Anglican parish church in the archdeaconry of Leeds and the Diocese of Leeds.

Burmantofts is an area of 1960s high-rise housing blocks in inner-city east Leeds, West Yorkshire, England adjacent to the city centre and St. James's Hospital. It is a racially diverse area, with sizable Afro-Caribbean and Irish communities, but suffers the social problems typical of similar areas across the country. From 1859 to 1957 Burmantofts was the home of Burmantofts Pottery, a manufacturer of ceramic pipes and construction materials. In the early 20th century, Burmantofts was a large centre of the textile industry. A Burtons textile factory was located in the area; it is still owned by Burtons, but today is being used as a storage facility.

St James's University Hospital is in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England and is popularly known as Jimmy's. It is one of the United Kingdom's most famous hospitals due to its coverage on television. It is managed by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Thackray Museum of Medicine in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, is a museum of the history of medicine adjacent to St James's University Hospital. It opened in March 1997 as the Thackray Medical Museum. In 1998 it won "Museum of the Year" and has other awards including in 2004 both the "Excellence in England Small Tourist Attraction of the Year" and "Sandford Award for Heritage Education".As of 17 May 2021, the museum reopened its doors. The museum closed temporarily in 2019 for a £4 million refurbishment, while the museum conference centre and car park remained open, and remained closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In October 2020 it was announced that the museum was to receive £370,000 from the Culture Recovery Fund to help it to re-open safely. In December 2020 the museum's conference centre was used as a COVID-19 vaccination hub. The redeveloped museum has since been shortlisted for Art Fund's Museum of the Year award 2021.

Leeds Gamma Knife Centre is based in the Institute of Oncology at St James's University Hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. St. James's Institute of Oncology (Bexley Wing), a National Health Service (NHS) hospital, is the largest cancer research hospital in Europe. When the Leeds centre opened in March 2009, there were only four other centres in the UK which specialised in the treatment of brain disease by a Gamma Knife. It is home to the world’s most advanced Gamma Knife – the £3m Leksell Perfexion, manufactured by Elekta. In January 2010 the centre hosted an international conference “Extending the Horizon: Advances in Gamma Knife Therapy” in which new treatment possibilities for the Gamma Knife came under the spotlight in the UK.In 2011 Leeds Gamma Knife Centre began a relationship with Belfast Health and Social Care Trust to treat NHS and private patients from across all Ireland – ensuring continuity of care across the Irish Sea.

Beckett Street Cemetery (also known as Burmantofts Cemetery) is a closed cemetery in Burmantofts, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1842, the site was officially opened in 1845 and is recognised as being one of England's first municipal burial sites (Hunslet Cemetery, also in Leeds, opened one month earlier). Although the cemetery was closed to interments in 2001, it remains open for visitors, and has two listed structures besides being a listed park itself.

St Aidan's Church in Harehills, Leeds, West Yorkshire is a Church of England parish church built in 1894. It is a large Victorian basilica-type red-brick building which is Grade II* listed. A church hall is adjacent. The architects were Johnson and Crawford Hick of Newcastle.

Chapeltown Barracks was a military installation in Chapeltown, Leeds, England, situated on the north and south sides of Barrack Road.

Richmond Hill Tunnel is a railway tunnel to the east of Leeds city centre, in West Yorkshire, England. The tunnel is known to be the first in the world specifically designed to carry passengers to be worked by steam trains rather than a stationary engine. One of the innovative methods employed to reassure passengers going through the lightless tunnel, was to place copper sheets underneath the air shafts which were intended to reflect the light around the tunnel. The original Richmond Hill Tunnel was 700 yards (640 m) long, but in 1894, it was widened into a cutting with a shorter tunnel, which is the existing structure in use today. The present Richmond Hill Tunnel is 118 yards (108 m) long, and is part of the longer Marsh Lane Cutting, which connects the eastward entrance and exit into Leeds railway station to the lines going towards Selby and York. The railway line through Richmond Hill is part of the TransPennine Line which connects Manchester and Leeds, with Selby, York and Hull.

St Patrick's Church is the name of two Roman Catholic Parish Churches in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The original church was built from 1889 to 1891, designed by John Kelly and is a Grade II listed building. It is situated on Rider Street, next to the New York Road and East Street Arts. In April 2001, St Patrick's Church moved to Torre Road. The original one closed and the new church opened the next day. The new St Patrick's Church is located on Torre Road in the east end of the city.

Mabgate is an inner city area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England and the name of one of its streets. In Leeds City Council's Mabgate Development Framework (2007), "the area is bounded to the west by North Street; to the east by Macaulay Street; to the north by Mushroom Street and to the south by the New York Road". Mabgate, the street, continues for a short distance on the south side of New York Road (A64(M)). The area is in the Burmantofts and Richmond Hill ward of Leeds City Council. The area to the west of Regent Street is within the city centre boundary.The name comes from 'Mab', meaning a prostitute (16th to 19th century) and 'gate' meaning a street (common in Yorkshire street names).
