Moel yr Ogof

Moel Hebog (Welsh for Bare Hill of the Hawk) is a mountain in Snowdonia, north Wales which dominates the view west from the village of Beddgelert. It gives name to a whole range of peaks in the north-western corner of Snowdonia, which include the Nantlle Ridge and Mynydd Mawr. From that side, Moel Hebog has a rocky face with a distinctive pointed summit, although from other sides, it appears more rounded. The exposed rock means that it is often visited by students of geology. Much of the mountain consists of welded, fiamme rich rhyolitic tuff. It is often climbed from Beddgelert and it can be combined with the nearby mountains of Moel yr Ogof and Moel Lefn for a longer walk. This route, however, does involve some easy scrambling. On Moel yr Ogof can be found Owain Glyndŵr's Cave. The view of Moel Hebog and Llyn Gwynant from the north near Snowdon is one of the most photographed in Snowdonia. A late Bronze Age shield was found in a bog near Moel Hebog in 1784. It is now in the British Museum's collection.

Moel Lefn is a summit in Snowdonia. It is a subsidiary peak of Moel Hebog and a sister peak of Moel yr Ogof. Its summit marks the end of the Hebog ridge. The North Eastern flank of Moel Lefn shows a good example of Columnar jointing within the rhyolite unit that comprises the majority of the mountain. The Beddgelert Forest lies directly to the east, while Cwm Pennant lies to the west. Good views of the Nantlle ridge are observed. There are two tall upright stone cairns on the eastern side of the mountain.

Meillionen railway station is a halt on the Welsh Highland Railway. It opened to the public when the section of line between Rhyd Ddu and Beddgelert re-opened on 8 April 2009. The station has been built to serve the popular the holiday cabins and campsite at Beddgelert, run by Forest Holidays. The railway provides a greener alternative to the car for visitors wishing to travel to Caernarfon, Porthmadog and, other points served in the Snowdonian National Park. The name Meillionen derives from the Afon Meillionen (Welsh for Clover River) which runs under the railway a little to the north. Before completion, it was to be called Beddgelert Forest Halt but was renamed to comply with the company's policy of naming WHR halts in Welsh. After completion the halt's running in board, however, did have the sub-title Forest Camp Site. This subsequently changed in April 2018 and now displays the main title Meillionen only. Construction of the station started in 2006 and a waiting shelter was built in April 2009.

Afon Meillionen (Welsh for Clover River) is a small river near Beddgelert in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. It flows down Cwm Meillionen, a small valley which lies on the north-eastern side of Moel yr Ogof (655m). Much of the river's catchment area lies within Beddgelert Forest. Afon Meillionen is a tributary of the Afon Colwyn, which itself joins the Afon Glaslyn in the village of Beddgelert. "Meillionen" is also the name of a farmhouse in the Cwm and of a small halt on the Welsh Highland Railway between Caernarfon and Porthmadog.

Mynydd Drws-y-Coed is a peak on the Nantlle Ridge in Snowdonia, north Wales. It is located at the easterly end of the ridge, and is a subsidiary summit of Trum y Ddysgl. It has steep west-facing cliffs, the summit area being the highest point on a thin ridge.The west side is very rocky and airy, and some scrambling is needed to attain the summit. A good head for heights will also be needed on the exposed regions.

Trum y Ddysgl is a mountain in Snowdonia, north Wales and is the second highest summit on the celebrated Nantlle Ridge. It is also one half of the two Marilyns that make up the ridge, the other being Craig Cwm Silyn.The mountain has a dramatic morphology, with two aretes, dark glacial cwms and rocky character. There are views of Snowdonia, with Mynydd Mawr, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and Moel Hebog being close neighbours. The peak also has 3 other tops, which all in all form a rocky and relatively narrow part of the Nantlle ridge.

Pitt's Head (Welsh: Carreg Collwyn) is a distinctive rock located at grid reference SH576515, close to the A4085 road in Gwynedd, Wales. Its distinction lies in a resemblance to the profile of politician William Pitt the Younger.

Y Garn is a top of Mynydd Drws-y-Coed in Snowdonia, north Wales and is the easterly end of the Nantlle Ridge.It has steep north-facing cliffs, the summit area being the highest point on a broad rocky plateau. The summit plateau contains two large shelter cairns.

Pitt's Head railway station co-served the village of Rhyd-ddu, Gwynedd, Wales, from 1923 to 1936 on the Welsh Highland Railway.

Mynydd Tal-y-Mignedd is a peak on the Nantlle Ridge in Snowdonia, north Wales. It is located at the centre of the ridge, and is a subsidiary summit of Trum y Ddysgl.The summit is crowned by a large stone obelisk, put up to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. A fine arete links it to its parent, Trum y Ddysgl, while a col links it to the next summit eastwards along the ridge, Craig Cwm Silyn.

Beddgelert railway station is a railway station on the narrow gauge Welsh Highland Railway in North Wales. The rebuilt station was officially opened by Lord Elis-Thomas on 7 April 2009.

The Welsh Highland Railway (WHR; Welsh: Rheilffordd Eryri) is a 25-mile (40.2 km) long, restored 1 ft 11+1⁄2 in (597 mm) narrow gauge heritage railway in the Welsh county of Gwynedd, operating from Caernarfon to Porthmadog, and passing through a number of popular tourist destinations including Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn Pass. At Porthmadog it connects with the Ffestiniog Railway and to the short Welsh Highland Heritage Railway. In Porthmadog it uses the United Kingdom's only mixed gauge flat rail crossing. The restoration, which had the civil engineering mainly built by contractors and the track mainly built by volunteers, received a number of awards. Originally running from Dinas, near Caernarfon, to Porthmadog Harbour, the current line includes an additional section from Dinas to Caernarfon. The original line also had a branch to Bryngwyn and the slate quarries around Moel Tryfan, which has not been restored. (This branch forms a footpath "rail trail", the lower section of which has been resurfaced and supplied with heritage notice-boards.) There is also the 3⁄4-mile (1.2 km) long Welsh Highland Heritage Railway which runs from Porthmadog along the trackbed of the former Cambrian Railways exchange siding and connects to the WHR main line at Pen-y-Mount junction.
