St Augustine's, Kilburn

Carlton Vale is a street that runs through Kilburn and Maida Vale in London. Some of its route forms the boundary between the City of Westminster to the south and the London Borough of Brent to the north. To the west the street continues as Kilburn Lane through Queen's Park, while to the east it becomes Carlton Hill running into St. John's Wood. Carlton Vale crosses or meets several roads including Kilburn Park Road, Cambridge Road and Randolph Avenue. Carlton was a popular name in the Regency era and beyond, suggesting an "ambience of elegance" linked to the Carlton House residence of the Prince Regent. The street was developed in the mid-nineteenth century and was originally known as Carlton Road. Most of the original buildings were Victorian, although few survive today. The Anglo-Catholic St. Augustine's Church was built just north of Carlton Vale to serve the growing population of the area. To the south of the street is Paddington Recreation Ground. The street suffered heavily from German bombing during the Second World War, and was rebuilt in the postwar era with modernist buildings. Particularly notable is the South Kilburn estate. The Carlton Tavern pub was built in the 1920s by the Charrington Brewery. Demolished in 2015 shortly before it was about to be listed, it was rebuilt in its original form and reopened in 2021.

The Carlton Tavern is a pub in Kilburn, London that was demolished in 2015 by Tel Aviv-based developer CLTX, which had failed to obtain the necessary planning permission. The council subsequently ordered the pub to be rebuilt brick by brick. It reopened on April 12, 2021. The pub was the only building in the street to survive the Blitz during World War II.

St Augustine's Church of England High School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England secondary school in the West London borough of Westminster, Kilburn. The school is also a Science College and has a sixth form. St Augustine of Canterbury is the patron saint of the school. It is located adjacent to its affiliated primary school and parish church St Augustine's Church.

Paddington Recreation Ground is a park in Maida Vale, City of Westminster, just north of Paddington. Its 27-acre site is the largest area of parkland located entirely within the City of Westminster. It was the first park of its kind in London, having operated since 1888. Annually, it attracts over 1.5 million users, who visit the Recreation Ground for its green-space value. The area covered by the park has "Conservation Area" status. It was selected in 1995 by the LEU as a non-statutory Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC).: 8 

There are two library buildings in North London called Kilburn Library. One is in the London Borough of Camden and located in the Kilburn High Road, NW6, and the other is in the London Borough of Brent and located in Salusbury Road. NW6. Camden's Kilburn Library was first located in Priory Road, NW6, as a temporary arrangement. It operated from October 1894 until 31 December 1901. In 1902 it relocated to Cotleigh Road, NW6, and remained there for a little over a hundred years. Its current layout comprises mezzanine with children's, family and learning facilities, quiet reading lounge, computers with free internet and wifi, book, CD and DVD lending making it an essential library service and gateway to other Council services to the local community. It is also home to the Kilburn Youth Centre.

The Islamic Centre of England Ltd (ICEL) is a religious and cultural building at 140 Maida Vale, London, whose mission is "to provide services to members of the Muslim community, in particular, and the wider community at large", focusing on religious guidance and cultural issues. It was founded in December 1995 and opened officially in November 1998. The premises are a former cinema that is a listed building.

Kilburn Park is a London Underground station at Kilburn in the London Borough of Brent. The station is on the Bakerloo line, between Queen's Park and Maida Vale stations, and is in Travelcard Zone 2. The station is situated on Cambridge Avenue approximately 100 m west of Kilburn High Road, shortly before it becomes Maida Vale, (A5). It is Grade II listed.

St. George's Catholic School is a Roman Catholic secondary school, with academy status, in Maida Vale, Westminster, London, England. The school also offers sixth form education franchised from St Thomas More Catholic School.

Euston tunnel is a tunnel currently planned in London that will carry the High Speed 2 (HS2) railway between Euston railway station and Old Oak Common railway station. Work to prepare the site for construction was undertaken in the late 2010s, such as the clearance of the old carriage sheds near Euston station in 2018. A legal challenge to the tunnel's design was defeated in mid-2020. During October 2020, HS2 Ltd ordered the two tunnel boring machines (TBMs) from Herrenknecht that will excavate the tunnel. Excavation is scheduled to take place between 2022 and 2024.

Kilburn High Road railway station is a London Overground station on the London Euston to Watford DC Line near the south end of the Kilburn High Road, London NW6 in the London Borough of Camden.

Greville Place is a 0.12-hectare (0.30-acre) nature reserve in Kilburn in the London Borough of Camden. It is a Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation, and it is managed by the London Wildlife Trust.Habitats include a pond and beehives, and woodland with a mature cooper beech and a black mulberry distorted with age. There are invertebrates such as stag beetles, frogs, toads and newts. Shade-tolerant plants include enchanter's-nightshade, lords-and-ladies and wood avens.The site at 1a Greville Place is only open on the first Sunday of each month between 11 am and 1 pm.

Saatchi Shul is an independent Orthodox Jewish synagogue that was founded in Maida Vale, London, in 1998. The synagogue was founded by Charles Saatchi and Maurice Saatchi. When it opened, its rabbi was Pinchas "Pini" Eliezer Dunner.The Saatchi Shul holds services on the site of the St John's Wood (United) Synagogue, and in 2018 plans were made to merge the two groups.
