St Nicholas Church is a redundant Anglican church in Normanton-on-Cliffe, Lincolnshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands beside the road between Grantham and Lincoln.

Normanton-on-Cliffe, sometimes known as Normanton, is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It lies on the A607 road, about 7 miles (11 km) north of the town of Grantham and 18 miles (29 km) south of Lincoln.

Honington railway station was a station in the village of Honington, Lincolnshire. It was located on junction with the line Grantham and Lincoln railway line and Grantham to Sleaford and Skegness It was closed for regular services on 10 September 1962 but was used occasionally until 1965. The disused platforms are still in situ.

Frieston is a village in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated just west of the A607 road, and 7 miles (11 km) north from the market town of Grantham. Frieston is conjoined to the southern part of the village of Caythorpe. Frieston lies within Caythorpe civil parish. Local government has been arranged in this way since the reorganisation of 1 April 1974, which resulted from the 1972 Local Government Act. Hitherto, the parish had formed part of the Parts of Kesteven. Kesteven was one of the three divisions (formally known as parts) of the traditional county of Lincolnshire. Since the 1888 Local Government Act Kesteven had been, in most respects, a county in itself. This seems to be an example of the migration of a village. 'Frieston' is a name which belongs to the 5th-century settlement of Britain by Anglo-Saxons, in this area mainly Angles, but in this case Frisians. The thorpe element of Caythorpe indicates a secondary settlement by Vikings, in this case probably Danes, at some time between 800 and 1050.

Caythorpe is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population at 2011 census was 1,374. It is situated on the A607, approximately 3 miles (5 km) south from Leadenham and 9 miles (14 km) north from Grantham. Caythorpe Heath stretches east of the village to Ermine Street and Byards Leap. Arnhem Heritage: Caythorpe is known for the soldiers based in the village during the Second World War. The 1st Airborne Signals Regiment took part in Operation Market Garden and fought for the bridges of Arnhem against the Nazis. Survivors of the Battle of Arnhem return to the village every late summer with the 216 Signals Regiment for Arnhem Weekend. There is a church service held in Saint Vincents Church, a Gala, parade through the village of the veterans and soldiers and other events in the village. The Paratroopers HQ was Holy Cross House to the south of the village which no longer stands (which was known to be haunted by ‘the grey lady’), now there is a small housing estate. There is a stained glass window memorial in Saint Vincents Church. Anglo-Saxon and Norman History: Before the Norman Conquest, Aelric (son of Mergeat) was the lord of the parish. After the Conquest of England by William the Conqueror the lord (as recorded in the 1086 Domesday Book) was Robert de Vessey. He was most likely rewarded with land by King William I after the invasion as he didn't own land prior. The Domesday Book noted that Caythorpe was in the hundred of Lovden and had a population of 172 (top 20% of settlements recorded).

Caythorpe railway station was a station in Caythorpe, Lincolnshire. Built to serve the nearby village of the same name. It was on the Grantham and Lincoln railway line. The line was built by the Great Northern Railway. The station closed for passengers in 1962, for goods in 1964 and the line closed in 1965 as part of the Beeching rationalisation of the UK railway system. The site now houses a recycling centre for household waste. The Great Northern Railway (GNR) was a British railway company established by the Great Northern Railway Act 1846 (9 & 10 Vict. c. lxxi). On 1 January 1923 the company lost its identity as a constituent of the newly formed London and North Eastern Railway. The line, opened in 1867, ran through land at Caythorpe owned by GNR chairman George Hussey Packe. Packe's land was the first in south-west Lincolnshire to be mined for iron ore. Opencast workings were either side of the line and used narrow gauge links to rail heads on the line.

Caythorpe Court is a Grade II* listed former hunting lodge situated about one mile to the east of Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, England. It was originally built in 1901 for Edgar Lubbock, a brewer and banker, to the designs of Sir Reginald Blomfield. In 1946 it became the Kesteven Agricultural College, which was renamed the Lincolnshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture from September 1980. The college became the De Montfort School of Agriculture, but the site was closed in 2002. After being sold to property developers, who proposed to use it to house asylum seekers, it was acquired by PGL who now operate it as a centre for adventure based holidays for adults and children.

Hough-on-the-Hill is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish including Brandon was 399 at the 2011 census. It is situated approximately 7 miles (11 km) due north from the market town of Grantham. The hamlets of Gelston and Brandon are part of the parish. Hough-on-the-Hill is on a significant rise, hence the name.

St Vincent's Church is a Grade I listed Church of England parish church in Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, England. It is at the southern edge of the Lincoln Cliff in South Kesteven, and 10 miles (16 km) north from Grantham. St Vincent's is only one of four churches in England dedicated to Vincent of Saragossa. The church is noted in particular for its double nave (one of only four existing in England), and monuments to Sir Charles and Sir Edward Hussey, and to the 18th-century astronomer Edmund Weaver. The church is in the ecclesiastical parish of Caythorpe, and is one of the Caythorpe Group of churches in the Deanery of Loveden and the Diocese of Lincoln. Other churches within the group are St Nicholas' at Fulbeck, and St Nicholas' at Carlton Scroop with Normanton.

Sudbrook is a hamlet in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 12 miles (19 km) south-east of Newark-on-Trent, 6 miles (10 km) north-east of Grantham and 1 mile (1.6 km) west of Ancaster. It forms part of Ancaster civil parish.

Barkston is an English village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire. The parish population was 497 at the 2001 census and 493 at the 2011 census. The village lies about 4 miles (6 km) north of the market town of Grantham, on the A607, just south of the junction with the A153 to Ancaster.
