Russeifa (Arabic: الرصيفة, also spelled Ruseifa(h), Rusaifa(h), Russiefa, etc., also with preceding article el-, al-, er- or ar-) is a city in Zarqa Governorate in Jordan. It had a population of 472,604 inhabitants in 2015, making it the fourth-largest city in Jordan, after Amman, Irbid, and Zarqa.

Marka is an area of Greater Amman Municipality, Jordan. It is to the north-east of Amman proper and its confines include Amman Civil Airport and the Marka refugee camp. Population as of 2020 was 167,648.

Amman Civil Airport (IATA: ADJ, ICAO: OJAM) (Arabic: مطار عمان المدني, romanized: Maṭār ʿAmmān al-Madaniyy), commonly known as Marka International Airport, is an unscheduled airport located in Marka district, Greater Amman Municipality, Jordan, some 5 km (3.1 mi; 2.7 NM) north-east of Amman city centre. After being the city's main airport from 1950 until 1983, there are no scheduled commercial passenger flights at the airport anymore. However, it still serves as Amman's main airport for general aviation, and moreover as an aviation education and training hub, and also sees freight operations. It serves as the home base for Arab Wings and Jordan International Air Cargo, additionally the Jordan Airports Company is headquartered here.

Seil Amman (Arabic: سيل عمان) was a water stream that flowed in the valley of Amman, Jordan. Starting from Ras Al-Ein with water from springs and rainfall, it flowed northeast for about six kilometers towards Ayn Ghazal, where it fed into Jordan's second largest river, the Zarqa River, as a tributary. Several archaeological sites were located along the banks of the Seil, including the Neolithic site of Ayn Ghazal in its northernmost part, as well as later Roman ruins consisting of the Nymphaeum and a forum adjacent to the theater in its southern part. The abundance of water resources led Amman to becoming known historically as the "city of waters." The areas surrounding the Seil were among the first to be inhabited after the modern resettling of Amman by Circassians in the 1880s. In the 1960s, the Amman municipality roofed the Seil with concrete, in an effort to address its rising levels of pollution, drying up of its springs, frequent flooding, and traffic in the downtown area. A street currently runs along the course of the former stream, which is informally known as Saqf Al-Seil, meaning the roofed stream, and formally as Quraysh Street.

The ʿAin Ghazal Statues are a number of large-scale lime plaster and reed statues discovered at the archeological site of ʿAin Ghazal in Jordan, dating back to approximately 9000 years ago (made between 7200 BC and 6250 BCE), from the Pre-Pottery Neolithic C period. A total of 15 statues and 15 busts were discovered in 1983 and 1985 in two underground caches, created about 200 years apart.The statues are among the earliest large-scale representations of the human form, and are regarded to be among the most remarkable specimens of prehistoric art from the Pre-Pottery Neolithic B or C period. Their purpose remains uncertain, with archaeologists believing they may have been buried just after production, having possibly been made with that intent.The ʿAin Ghazal Statues are today part of the collections of The Jordan Museum in Amman, with some also on display at the Citadel's Jordan Archaeological Museum, while a few have been loaned to foreign museums: one statue is in the Louvre Museum in Paris; parts of three other statues can be seen at the British Museum in London; and one of the figures with two heads is on show in the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

ʿAin Ghazal (Arabic: عين غزال, romanized: ʿayn ġazāl) is a Neolithic archaeological site located in metropolitan Amman, Jordan, about 2 km north-west of Amman Civil Airport. The site is remarkable for being the place where the ʿAin Ghazal statues were found, which are among the oldest large-sized statues ever discovered.

The King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) is an installation located in Amman, Jordan that specializes in counter-terrorism, special operations and irregular warfare tactics, techniques and procedures. The base was built by a U.S. construction firm on land donated by the King of Jordan and paid for by the U.S. Defense Department Foreign Military Sales programme, part of the 2005 special appropriation. Management of the construction was undertaken by the United States Army Corps of Engineers.By 2009, the center had been made operational. The center is managed by active and retired special forces personnel and training staff.

Al-Qarṭuʽiyah (القرطوعية) is a town in the Amman Governorate of north-western Jordan.It is located several miles north-east of Amman.

Amman railway station (Arabic: محطة قطار عمان) is a former main railway station in central Amman, Jordan, built as part of the Hejaz railway during the Ottoman Empire. The opening of the Amman station in 1904 connected the city to Damascus and later to Medina by the time Ottoman authorities finished constructing the railway in 1908. In its early days, it helped to transform Amman from a small village into a major commercial hub in the region. Currently, the station hosts a museum dedicated to the railway, and launches tourist trips to sites within Jordan, including to the ruins of Umm el-Jimal. The terminal's area became known as Al-Mahatta, meaning 'The Station'.

The Al-Hassan camp (sometimes 'Prince Hassan Camp') is a Palestinian refugee camp located some 5 Km from the center of Amman, the capital of Jordan. Administratively it lies in the Amman (Capital) Governorate.It was established in 1967, and a 2021 population estimate indicated that 9,408 people lived there, although a previous estimate (in 2018) had set the number at 14,068.Palestinian refugee camps are distributed in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan across six governorates, amongst which the Capital governorate and Madaba governorate include Al-Wehdat refugee camp, Jabal el-Hussein camp, Prince Hassan, Talbieh Camp and Madaba camp.Visitors have expressed misgivings about the camp.

Tabarbour is one of the largest areas of Tariq municipality in Amman, Jordan. Near the entrance to the area lie Roman ruins with a dedication to a great leader at the time. The area is inhabited by approximately 250,000 people. It is one of the most populated areas of Amman due to its strategic location, linking all regions of Amman and the north and central governorates. Tabarbour is located in the north of the capital, Amman. It is located at 920 meters above sea level.

Basman is a district of the city of Amman, Jordan. It is Amman's most populous district, located just north of the historical city, with a population of 374,000 as of 2015.
