Cowden Park House

Alloa goods station was a goods railway station operated by the Caledonian Railway in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland, from 1885 to 1980. The station was the planned terminus of the Alloa Railway as authorised by Parliament in 1884 when the Caledonian Railway absorbed the Alloa Railway. The station opened on 1 October 1885, when the complete line from Dunmore Junction on the South Alloa branch opened. The station was located on the western side of Glasshouse Loan to the north of Craigward Cooperage.Passenger traffic on this line used the main Alloa station over a North British Railway connecting line.The station closed in 1980, most of the site now making up a bus depot.

The Northern Glass Cone is a 19th-century glass cone formerly used in the glass manufacturing process at Alloa Glass Works in the burgh of Alloa, the administrative centre of the central Scottish council area of Clackmannanshire. The brick-built cone is the only such structure to survive in Scotland, and is one of four in the United Kingdom: the other three are at Lemington on Tyneside, Catcliffe in South Yorkshire and Wordsley in the West Midlands. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Alloa Ferry station was the terminus on the Stirling and Dunfermline Railway (S&DR) Alloa Harbour branch line that ran from Alloa. It opened on 3 June 1851, running down the east side of Glasshouse Loan to 150 yards (140 m) short of the ferry pier. The end of the branch was described in a local newspaper as where "an extensive goods shed has been erected and a comically diminutive station house has been put up".Alloa Ferry station closed on 1 July 1852 when the line from Alloa to Stirling was opened. The line closed on 28 February 1968 when the goods service to the harbour was withdrawn.

The church is named after Saint Mungo (also known as Saint Kentigern), patron saint and founder of the city of Glasgow. It belongs to the Church of Scotland Presbytery of Stirling and serves the parish of Alloa. A chapel dedicated to St Mungo is thought to have been erected during the fourteenth or fifteenth-century, which became dependent upon the Parish of Tullibody. Alloa had grown into a parish in its own right by 1600 when the Act of Assembly united the two parishes. In 1680, the original chapel was rebuilt and enlarged. The current church replaces the old parish church from the seventeenth-century which had been deemed much too small for the congregation for over seventy years and was declared ruinous and unsafe in August 1815. The condition of the old church was so bad that services were often being held in the open air rather than risking injury to the congregation The decision was finally made to abandon the old building and find a site for a new parish church. The Erskine family donated land at Bedford Place and work on the new St Mungo's church began in 1817. The church congregation temporarily worshipped in the Tabernacle until the completion in 1819 of the new church. Since land was judged at the time to have too great a value to the living to be set aside for the dead, no graveyard was planned or added to the new church. The more elaborate scale and design of the new building was intended to reflect the increased size and prosperity of the nineteenth-century congregation. The church was one of the largest in Scotland at the time it was built.

South Alloa railway station, located south of the River Forth, served the village of South Alloa, Scotland and the town of Alloa via a ferry link from 1850 to 1885.

County Buildings is a municipal structure in Drysdale Street, Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The structure, which was the headquarters of Clackmannanshire County Council and is currently used as courthouse, is a Category B listed building.

Alloa (Received Pronunciation ; Scottish pronunciation /ˈaloʊa/; Scottish Gaelic: Alamhagh, possibly meaning "rock plain") is a town in Clackmannanshire in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It is on the north bank of the Forth at the spot where some say it ceases to be the River Forth and becomes the Firth of Forth. Alloa is south of the Ochil Hills, 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east of Stirling and 7.9 miles (12.7 km) north of Falkirk; by water Alloa is 25 miles (40 km) from Granton.The town, formerly a burgh of barony, is the administrative centre of Clackmannanshire Council. Historically, the economy relied heavily on trade between Glasgow and mainland Europe through its port. This became increasingly uncompetitive and the port stopped operating in 1970. The local economy is now centred on retail and leisure since the closure of major industries; only one brewer and one glassmaker survive today. Parochially, Alloa was linked with Tullibody. The towns are now distinct, albeit with Lornshill in the middle, and Alloa is about twice the size of its north-western neighbour. The population of Alloa was estimated to be approximately 20,730 residents in 2016.

Alloa Academy is a six-year state-funded school, serving the town of Alloa in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The pupil intake comes from four "feeder" primary schools, Redwell, Sunnyside, St. Mungo's and Park, and varies from a middle class area to an area of severe deprivation, see nuclear power plant. The school moved to its current location after Christmas 2008. The old building in the Claremont area of Alloa was built in 1859, opened by Queen Victoria and demolished in 2010. The new school is adjacent to the OI Glassworks (formerly United Glass). The school is in view of the River Forth.

Inch or Alloa Inch (Scottish Gaelic: innis, island) is an island in the tidal reaches of the River Forth near Alloa, just before the river opens out into the Firth of Forth. There is a derelict farmhouse on the island, as the land was farmed in the past. Due to subsidence caused by nearby coal mining, flood defences were breached. The land now consists of reed beds and salt marshes.The Scottish Wildlife Trust has managed the island as a reserve since 1996. The smaller islet of Tullibody Inch lies just upstream.

Lornshill Academy is a six-year comprehensive school situated in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. Approximately 1030 pupils are enrolled with the school. South Alloa is a small village which lies in the far north of the Falkirk council area of Scotland. The village is on the south bank of the River Forth where the river empties and widens to form the Firth of Forth. To the west of the village lies the island of Alloa Inch, and directly to the north across the Forth is the town of Alloa, located 0.8 miles (1.3 km) away. Upstream and 5 miles (8.0 km) west-northwest is the city of Stirling and 7.3 miles (11.7 km) south is Falkirk, the principal town of the Falkirk council area. It lies just inside the council boundary line between Falkirk and Stirling councils. The village lies off the A905 road between Dunmore and Throsk. The village is at a former ferry crossing point across the River Forth to Alloa. Between 1850 and 1885 South Alloa railway station was the terminus of a line originally built by Scottish Central Railway.The village had 112 residents in 2011, a 49% increase since the 2001 census.
