Badsaddle, Withmale Park and Bush Walk Woods is a 25.2-hectare (62-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Wellingborough in Northamptonshire.This is ancient coppice woodland with oak and ash on wet calcareous soils. Ground flora include herb paris, goldilocks buttercup and four species of orchid.There is access to Bush Park and Withmale Park Woods from Redhouse Road, which runs between them, and to Badsaddle Wood by a track from the A43 road.

Hardwick Lodge Meadow is a 10 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Wellingborough in Northamptonshire.This unimproved grassland on boulder clay has a rich variety of flora, including many rare in the county. Crested hair-grass and salad burnet are found in drier parts, and a marshy area next to a stream has common spotted-orchid and the only population in Northamptonshire of heath spotted-orchid.There is access by a footpath which crosses the field.

Broughton is a large village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, England. The village is around 2 miles (3.2 km) south-west of Kettering and is bypassed by the A43 road. At the 2011 census, the population of the parish was 2,208.The village's name is derived from Old English meaning "fortification farm/settlement" or, perhaps, "brook farm/settlement".Broughton appears in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Burtone. The church (St. Andrew), which is mostly early 14th century (although the chancel was actually rebuilt in 1828), incorporates part of a (12th century) Norman aisleless church at the south-west angle, including the reset south doorway with colonettes, scallop capitals and zigzags. The village has some notable Jacobean houses.Broughton currently has one pub, The Red Lion; it used to also have The Sun but that closed. A protest to keep the pub running was fought for by driving a tank to Kettering Borough Council offices but no appeal has been won. The village also has three shops. It used to have a separate post office; that is now part of one of the shops. Many years ago, it had a cinema, five bakers, 7 pubs, 6 shops, a petrol station, and a butcher.

Orlingbury is a village and civil parish in the English county of Northamptonshire. It is between the towns of Kettering and Wellingborough. Administratively it forms part of North Northamptonshire but was in the borough of Wellingborough until 2021. At the time of the 2011 census, the parish's population was 439 people.The villages name origin is uncertain. 'Grove', 'woodland swine-pasture', 'hill' or 'fortification' connected with Ordla'. The hundred takes its name from Orlingbury. The site of the meeting-place is unknown. The west part of Orlingbury hundred was Mawsley hundred.

Little Harrowden is a village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, England. The village is nearly 3 miles (4.8 km) north-west of Wellingborough, off the A509 road. At the 2011 Census, the population of the parish was 892.The village is in one of the longest and narrowest parishes in Northamptonshire and is built around the Church of St Mary the Virgin, which dates back to circa 1190. The population of the parish is spread across various occupations from industrial in the east to farming in the west. The local primary school has been established for approximately 350 years and, along with the village hall, acts as a focal point in the village. Another focal point is the pub, The Lamb, which is run by Charles Wells.

Cransley Hall is a Grade II* listed[1] country manor house in the village of Great Cransley, near Kettering in Northamptonshire. It is set in its own grounds which include a lake created by monks in the fifteenth century. Originally built in around 1580, the Hall has over fifteen bedrooms and ornately decorated reception rooms, including Italianate plasterwork in the dining room. The Hall was originally built by Dame Alice Owen, widowed three times, latterly to Judge Thomas Owen. Following his death she left her home in Islington, London, and moved to Cransley Hall. Owen also founded Dame Alice Owen's School. The Hall bears the arms of later owners, Sir Thomas Cecil (c.1595) and Sir Henry Robinson (d. 1727).It passed to the Rose family in 1791, remaining in their hands till 1904.

Sywell Aerodrome (IATA: ORM, ICAO: EGBK) is the local aerodrome serving the towns of Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering and Rushden, as well as wider Northamptonshire. The aerodrome is located 5 nautical miles (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) northeast of Northampton and was originally opened in 1928 on the edge of Sywell village. The aerodrome caters for private flying, flight training and corporate flights. There is one fixed-wing flying school, one microlight school and a helicopter school. The 1930s Art Deco hotel (built in 1934 as the Northamptonshire Aero Club clubhouse) has bar and restaurant facilities. Aviation related industries and businesses are also located at the aerodrome. A viewing area is provided for aircraft spotters where the airfield memorial is located. The Pilots' Mess cafe is also located on site and the large Hangar One venue hosts many events throughout the year. Northampton (Sywell) Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P496) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Sywell Aerodrome Limited).

Sywell Aviation Museum is based at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, England. It is sited in the aircraft viewing car park at the aerodrome. It documents the history of flying in Northamptonshire from the early days to the present day with particular emphasis on the Second World War. The museum is run by the Sywell Aviation Museum Trust and is run by volunteers; it is closed during the winter months and reopens each Easter Saturday.

Cransley is a civil parish in Northamptonshire, England. It contains the village of Great Cransley but Little Cransley is in the adjacent parish of Broughton. At the time of the 2001 census, Cransley parish had 283 inhabitants, increasing to 305 at the 2011 Census.The villages name means 'Crane'/Herons' wood/clearing'.Thomas Crooke, the noted sixteenth-century preacher, was a native of Cransley; he was the ancestor of the Crooke baronets of Baltimore, County Cork.
