Thèreval (French pronunciation: ​[tɛʁval]) is a commune in the department of Manche, northwestern France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 by merger of the former communes of Hébécrevon and La Chapelle-en-Juger.

Hébécrevon (French pronunciation: ​[ebekʁəvɔ̃]) is a former commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Thèreval. Hébécrevon was the site of many battles in July 1944 leading to the Allied victory of the St. Lo campaign in July 1944. It was here that Lt. Henry Victor Crawford died, just yards from the Hebecrevon Church.

Château de Canisy is a château constructed on the site of a former castle in the commune of Canisy, in the Manche département of France. The present building was constructed some time in the 16th century. It is located about 300 km (190 mi) from Paris and 8 km (5.0 mi) from Saint-Lô, in the center of Normandy. The château is surrounded by 740 acres of forests, ponds, lakes, gardens and manicured lawns.Members of the Kergorlay family have owned the estate for the past 1,000 years. The ownership of the château has been passed down to the oldest male heir in the family since the time it was built. At the present time, Comte Denis de Kergolay is the presiding owner of the Château de Canisy.

Canisy (French pronunciation: ​[kanizi]) is a commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. On 1 January 2017, the former commune of Saint-Ébremond-de-Bonfossé was merged into Canisy.

On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Thèreval.The local name of the commune is La Chapelle-Enjuger, as indicated in local sollicitor's documents.

Marigny German war cemetery is a German World War II cemetery in Normandy, France. It is located 12 km (7.5 mi) west of Saint-Lô. The cemetery contains in excess of 11,000 German military personnel and is maintained and managed by the German War Graves Commission (Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge).
