Canisy

Château de Canisy is a château constructed on the site of a former castle in the commune of Canisy, in the Manche département of France. The present building was constructed some time in the 16th century. It is located about 300 km (190 mi) from Paris and 8 km (5.0 mi) from Saint-Lô, in the center of Normandy. The château is surrounded by 740 acres of forests, ponds, lakes, gardens and manicured lawns.Members of the Kergorlay family have owned the estate for the past 1,000 years. The ownership of the château has been passed down to the oldest male heir in the family since the time it was built. At the present time, Comte Denis de Kergolay is the presiding owner of the Château de Canisy.

Hébécrevon (French pronunciation: ​[ebekʁəvɔ̃]) is a former commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Thèreval. Hébécrevon was the site of many battles in July 1944 leading to the Allied victory of the St. Lo campaign in July 1944. It was here that Lt. Henry Victor Crawford died, just yards from the Hebecrevon Church.

Bourgvallées (French pronunciation: ​[buʁvale]) is a commune in the department of Manche, northwestern France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 by merger of the former communes of Gourfaleur, La Mancellière-sur-Vire, Saint-Romphaire and Saint-Samson-de-Bonfossé (the seat). On 1 January 2019, the former communes Le Mesnil-Herman and Soulles were merged into Bourgvallées.
