Monte Mars

The Biellese Alps (Alpi Biellesi or Prealpi Biellesi in Italian) are a sub-range of the Pennine Alps located between Piemonte and Aosta Valley (Italy).

Lago del Mucrone is a lake in the Province of Biella, Piedmont, Italy. At an elevation of 1894 m, its surface area is 0.01713 km².

Colma di Mombarone (or simply Mombarone) is a mountain of the Biellese Alps, a sub-range of Pennine Alps, in northern Italy. It visually marks, along with Monte Gregorio on the opposite side, the entrance of Aosta Valley from the Po plain. On its top in 1900 was built a huge statue, still located there, of Jesus Christ.

Rosazza is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northeast of Turin and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of Biella. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 89 and an area of 8.7 square kilometres (3.4 sq mi).Rosazza borders the following municipalities: Andorno Micca, Campiglia Cervo, Piedicavallo, Sagliano Micca. It is a member of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy") association.

The Sacro Monte di Oropa (literally ‘Sacred Mount of Oropa’) is a Roman Catholic devotional complex in the province of Biella, Piedmont, northern Italy. It is one of the nine Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is a stop-over on the CoEur devotional path.

Oropa is a frazione of the municipality of Biella, in Piedmont, northern Italy. It is famous for the Black Virgin of Oropa. Her statue is located in the Sanctuary of Oropa, the basilica of the Sacro Monte di Oropa, one of the Sacri Monti. It is an important destination for local tourism and pilgrimage. In 1874 was established a meteorogical station by Francesco Denza.In 1998 was opened the botanical garden.

The giardino Botanico di Oropa is a nature preserve and botanical garden located at an altitude of 1200 m in Oropa about 12 km northwest of Biella, Piedmont, Italy. Situated near the Black Virgin sanctuary, it is open daily except Mondays in the warmer months.
