CBE-FM is the call sign of the CBC Music station in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The station broadcasts at 89.9 FM. The station was launched on March 4, 1979.

New Canaan was a small settlement between Essex to the Southeast and McGregor to the Northwest on Maiden Road (Rt. 12) in Essex County, Ontario, today officially part of the town of Essex.The current Town of Essex was created on 1 April 1999 by the amalgamation of the communities of Essex, Harrow, Colchester North, and Colchester South. Harrow comprises the communities of Ambassador Beach, Barretville, Belcreft Beach, Colchester, Edgars, Essex Centre, Gesto, Harrow Centre, Klie's Beach, Leslies Corner, Levergood Beach, Lypps Beach, Marshfield, McGregor, New Canaan, Oxley, Paquette Corners, Seymour Beach and Vereker. New Canaan was initially settled in the 1820s by Afro-Americans who had escaped from slavery in the American South, many of them from Kentucky. When the freedom boundary shifted to the Canada–United States border with the enactment of the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, additional families seeking refuge and coming along the Underground Railroad into Canada joined the original black settlers in New Canaan.

Oldcastle is an unincorporated community in the town of Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded to the north by Highway 3, to the east by the Chrysler Canada Greenway trail, to the south by County Road 8 (Townline), and to the west by Howard Avenue. It is the starting point of the Chrysler Canada Greenway rail trail. Its western half consists primarily of industries and businesses, while the remaining area is farmland and residential.

Maidstone, Ontario, is a small hamlet on Essex County Road 34 in the municipality of Lakeshore, Ontario, Canada, since amalgamation in 1999. The town has a post office, a school, baseball diamonds, a park, a conservation area, a cemetery, a church, restaurant, community center and a grain elevator. The Windsor Star printed an article in 2006 projecting that the community's population would soar to over 2,000 within the next 10 years (at the time, it was around 580) due to the explosive growth in Tecumseh. It is unknown if this will happen, as Maidstone is closer to Essex than to Windsor and Tecumseh. The community was served by three main Provincial Highways in the past: Highway 3, until it was diverted onto its current alignment in 1977, Highway 114 (now just Malden Road, from CR 34/Former Highway 3, north to Middle Road, CR 46), and Highway 98, which was decommissioned in 1970, and became Essex County Road 46. It is also served by the very busy Manning Road (Essex CR 19).

St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Secondary School is a publicly funded high school in LaSalle, Ontario, Canada. It is operated by the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board and serves as the primary Catholic secondary school in the LaSalle, Amherstburg, and River Canard areas of Essex County. It is located on the border between LaSalle and Amherstburg. The school's mascot is the Wildcat. Villanova's Men's Baseball team has captured numerous titles at both the OFSAA-level and MHSAA-level. The school also offers other sports teams, including football, wrestling, soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming, many of which compete at the provincial level. The Vocal, Drama, and Music programs collaboratively put on productions annually. Tecumseh () is a town in Essex County in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is on Lake St. Clair east of Windsor and had a population of 23,229 at the 2016 census. It is part of the Windsor census metropolitan area, and is a part of the Windsor-Essex County region along with Amherstburg, Kingsville, Lakeshore, LaSalle and Leamington. Tecumseh was originally a Franco-Ontarian settlement. Food processing is a major industry in Tecumseh, as Bonduelle owns a food processing plant near the town. The plant was built by Green Giant in 1931. Green Giant sold the plant in the late 1990s to Family Tradition Foods, who sold it to Carrière Foods in 2006. Carrière Foods was purchased in 2007 by Bonduelle.The Tecumseh Corn Festival has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Festivals in Ontario by Festivals and Events Ontario.Tecumseh is surrounded by Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River. Detroit is easily accessible to Tecumseh residents by the Ambassador Bridge or the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel, both of which are located within the neighbouring municipality of Windsor. The town is named after Tecumseh, an 18th-century Shawnee chief and warrior who promoted resistance to the expansion of the United States onto Native American lands.

The Cypher Systems Group Greenway (formerly Amherstburg–Essex Greenway) is a 23.9-kilometre (14.9 mi) rail trail along a former CN Rail spur line in the town of Essex, Ontario, Canada. As of May 2013, the trail extends from Sadler's Park in Essex towards Amherstburg. CN Rail had donated this spur line in 1997, following the donation of its other subdivision, which is now the Chrysler Canada Greenway, in 1993, to ERCA, which manages the trail. The total distance of the former rail line is 28 kilometres (17 mi), and extends via McGregor to Amherstburg. ERCA has stated they intended on linking to the Chrysler Canada Greenway and Amherstburg when funds become available, which was finally realized in the summer of 2017.
