New Hackensack, New York

The Joseph Horton House is an historic structure located in New Hackensack, New York. Once part of a larger 250-acre (100 ha) farm, the farmhouse was built between 1725 and 1752. In 1840, the farm was divided, leaving the house on a 100-acre (40 ha) parcel, and it became known as "Old Hundred". Only a 2 acres (0.81 ha) lot remains intact. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 2, 1988. The building is located on the north side of NY 376, or New Hackensack Road. The house is privately owned, but has been restored and is open for tours by appointment.

Mid-Hudson Islamic Association (Masjid Al-Noor Arabic: مسجد النور) is an Islamic Association located at Masjid Al-Noor in Wappingers Falls, NY, United States. The group was founded in the 1980s in response to a large addition of Muslim families in the Hudson River Valley. The group originally met in their own homes for prayers and social/religious events. In 1990, they opened a mosque that provided prayer space, an educational Sunday school, and community services. The building has three stories - the men's prayer hall is located on the ground floor, and the women's prayer balcony is on the second floor overlooking the main prayer hall. The basement of the mosque serves as a community hall. A small minaret was added to the north side of the building sometime after the original construction.

It is sometimes called Poughkeepsie Airport, which gives it the code POU. The airport provides corporate and general aviation transportation services.

It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Myers Corner is in the town of Wappinger on County Route 93 and County Route 94. Myers Corners School is also located here.

The population was 3,613 at the 2010 census.Red Oaks Mill is southeast of the city of Poughkeepsie and can be considered a suburb of the city. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, New York Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, New York-New Jersey-Connecticut-Pennsylvania Combined Statistical Area.

Located in Wappinger Falls, New York, United States, the school serves approximately 1,600 students in grades nine through twelve residing in the southwest of Dutchess County. Elias Titus House is a historic home located at Red Oaks Mill in Dutchess County, New York. It was built in 1840 and originally consisted of a 2+1⁄2-story, gable-roofed main block and 1+1⁄2-story kitchen wing. The main block is three bays wide and four bays deep. It features a temple front elevation in the Greek Revival style. It is a tetrastyle portico supported by fluted Ionic order columns.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Dutchess Rail Trail is a 13-mile (21 km) rail trail that stretches from the former Hopewell Junction train depot, north to the Poughkeepsie entrance of the Walkway over the Hudson. It's a shared use rail trail open for pedestrians and bicyclers. The Dutchess Rail Trail forms part of the Empire State Trail.Construction was initially set to begin in July 2007. It was built in five phases. The final stage from Morgan lake in the Town of Poughkeepsie to the Walkway over the Hudson was completed in July 2013.Conrail's Maybrook Line was double tracked, allowing for a simultaneous paved and packed dirt trail. In January 2012, a 1-mile stretch of property was purchased from CSX Transportation. An effort was made to develop this stretch of property in 2013, resulting in connections with Walkway Over the Hudson and the Hudson Valley Rail Trail.The railroad line was built in 1892 by the Central New England Railway; it was severed by a fire on the Poughkeepsie Bridge on May 8, 1974. Dutchess County originally purchased the Maybrook Line to build a limited access highway to Interstate 84 but did not want to pay the monetary and environmental costs of connecting from Hopewell Junction to I-84. This trail, the Maybrook Trailway, was later completed in 2020 as part of the Empire State Trail project.

Our Lady of Lourdes High School is an American private Roman Catholic school, located in Poughkeepsie, New York, in Dutchess County. The school received accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in May 2004. In 2009, the school separated itself from the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York.
