Elias Titus House is a historic home located at Red Oaks Mill in Dutchess County, New York. It was built in 1840 and originally consisted of a 2+1⁄2-story, gable-roofed main block and 1+1⁄2-story kitchen wing. The main block is three bays wide and four bays deep. It features a temple front elevation in the Greek Revival style. It is a tetrastyle portico supported by fluted Ionic order columns.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Dutchess Rail Trail is a 13-mile (21 km) rail trail that stretches from the former Hopewell Junction train depot, north to the Poughkeepsie entrance of the Walkway over the Hudson. It's a shared use rail trail open for pedestrians and bicyclers. The Dutchess Rail Trail forms part of the Empire State Trail.Construction was initially set to begin in July 2007. It was built in five phases. The final stage from Morgan lake in the Town of Poughkeepsie to the Walkway over the Hudson was completed in July 2013.Conrail's Maybrook Line was double tracked, allowing for a simultaneous paved and packed dirt trail. In January 2012, a 1-mile stretch of property was purchased from CSX Transportation. An effort was made to develop this stretch of property in 2013, resulting in connections with Walkway Over the Hudson and the Hudson Valley Rail Trail.The railroad line was built in 1892 by the Central New England Railway; it was severed by a fire on the Poughkeepsie Bridge on May 8, 1974. Dutchess County originally purchased the Maybrook Line to build a limited access highway to Interstate 84 but did not want to pay the monetary and environmental costs of connecting from Hopewell Junction to I-84. This trail, the Maybrook Trailway, was later completed in 2020 as part of the Empire State Trail project.

Peter and Karen McComb House is a historic home located at Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York. It was designed by architect Marcel Breuer and built in 1950–1951. The original section is a small one- to two-story, "T"-shaped, International style frame dwelling on a concrete foundation. Three additions were constructed in 1962, 1988, and 1994. It is built into its site atop a steep rock ridge and features large-scale rectangular window panels.: 5–6 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

It is sometimes called Poughkeepsie Airport, which gives it the code POU. The airport provides corporate and general aviation transportation services.

The Joseph Horton House is an historic structure located in New Hackensack, New York. Once part of a larger 250-acre (100 ha) farm, the farmhouse was built between 1725 and 1752. In 1840, the farm was divided, leaving the house on a 100-acre (40 ha) parcel, and it became known as "Old Hundred". Only a 2 acres (0.81 ha) lot remains intact. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 2, 1988. The building is located on the north side of NY 376, or New Hackensack Road. The house is privately owned, but has been restored and is open for tours by appointment.

New Hackensack is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wappinger in Dutchess County, New York, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.New Hackensack is in western Dutchess County, in the northeastern section of Wappinger. It is bordered to the southwest by the Myers Corner CDP and to the west by the Hudson Valley Regional Airport, formerly known as Dutchess County Airport and originally known as "New Hackensack Field" in the 1930s and 1940s. New York State Route 376 passes through the community, leading north 7 miles (11 km) to Poughkeepsie and southeast 5 miles (8 km) to Hopewell Junction. Wappingers Falls is 3 miles (5 km) to the southwest.

Rombout House is a historic home located at Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York. It was built about 1854 on land that had been part of the original British royal Rombout Patent of 1685 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay-wide, Hudson River Bracketed architectural style dwelling. It sits on a raised basement and features a central pavilion. It has been owned by Vassar College since 1915.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Kimlin Cider Mill is located on the east side of Cedar Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie, on approximately two acres of land. A mid-19th century barn forms the core of the cider mill. The Mill was part of a larger agricultural property owned and operated by the Kimlin family since the family first came to this country from Ireland in the early 1850s. A commercial cider business at this site in the 1880s. During the period of 1925–1935, Ralph R. Kimlin began the work of expanding the old barn to include not only the cider mill but also a public attraction including a cafe and a museum room. Mr. Kimlin greatly altered the original form and composition of the old barn. He filled the museum room with old farm tools, wildlife taxidermy, Native American artifacts, and other curiosities. For most of the 20th century, the Kimlin Cider Mill operated as a producer and retail outlet for apple cider. Its popularity with local residents, particularly the area's schoolchildren and students from nearby Vassar College, prompted Ralph R. Kimlin to embellish the exterior of the building and to create indoor spaces for the enjoyment of his customers. The property surrounding the Mill soon became a park. Mr. Kimlin also raised a sizable flock of sheep in the pasture behind the mill with the hopes of preserving the traditional farm life that was once an integral part of life in the area, but which was already beginning to disappear at the time. The Kimlin Cider Mill closed its doors in 1990. On February 20, 2008, the cider mill and remaining 2 acres (8,100 m2) of the farm were purchased by Cider Mill Friends of Open Space & Historic Preservation, Inc., a grassroots citizens' group formed in May 2000, which became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in January 2001. The mission of the Cider Mill Friends is to protect open space and the historic resources in the Town of Poughkeepsie through restoration and advocacy programs and land acquisition. Through the efforts of the Cider Mill Friends, the Kimlin Cider Mill has been listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places and designated as a Town of Poughkeepsie Historic Landmark.
