The Chateau de Pignerolle is located to the east of Angers in the commune of Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou in the department of Maine-et-Loire in France.

Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ baʁtelemi dɑ̃ʒu] , literally Saint-Barthélemy of Anjou) is a commune in the Maine-et-Loire department in western France. It is known as the place where Cointreau orange liqueur is produced. Cointreau was invented and previously produced in Angers, though the factory has now been moved to the industrial zone of Saint-Barthélémy d'Anjou, from where it is now exported globally.

École supérieure angevine en informatique et productique (ESAIP) a French engineering College created in 1987. The school trains engineers in two specialities: digital technology, risk management and the environment. Located in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou close to Angers, as well as in Aix-en-Provence, the ESAIP is a private higher education institution of general interest recognised by the State. The school is a member of the Conférence des Grandes écoles (CGE).

On 15 December 2016 it was merged into the new commune Les Garennes sur Loire.On 18 July 1969 Juigné-sur-Loire was the site of a tragic accident that killed 19 young teenagers from nearby Angers. The children, part of a group of sixty 13- and 14-year-olds on an outing from a recreational center, had been wading in the Loire river when the gravel riverbed beneath them gave way and swept them downstream into the deeper waters.

Brain-sur-l'Authion (French pronunciation: [bʁɛ̃ syʁ lotjɔ̃] ) is a former commune in the Maine-et-Loire department in western France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Loire-Authion.

Saint-Saturnin-sur-Loire (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ satyʁnɛ̃ syʁ lwaʁ] , literally Saint-Saturnin on Loire) is a former commune in the Maine-et-Loire department in western France. On 15 December 2016, it was merged into the new commune Brissac Loire Aubance. Its population was 1,349 in 2019.
