Chanceaux-sur-Choisille (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃so syʁ ʃwazij] ) is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France.

Tours Aerodrome was a complex of military airfields in the French department of Indre-et-Loire, 6 km (3.2 NM) north-northeast of the city of Tours. They were used during World War I as part of the Second Air Instructional Center (2d AIC), American Expeditionary Forces for training United States airmen prior to being sent into combat. Today Tours Airdrome #1 airfield is Tours Val de Loire Airport (Base Aérienne 604).

École de L'Aviation de Chasse 314 Christian Martell was a French Air and Space Force (Armée de l'air et de l'espace) Fighter Pilot Training School located at Tours Saint Symphorien Air Base (BA 705), Indre-et-Loire, France which operated the Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet. It was operational from 1961, until Pilatus PC-21 light trainers were ordered to replace its Alpha Jets, which entered service in 2018 with EPAA 00.315 at BA 709 Cognac. On 12 September 2020, École de Pilotage de l’Armée de l’Air 315 Général Jarry (EPAA 00.315) was merged with the école de l'aviation chasse EAC 00.314, to form l'école de l'aviation de chasse 00.315 "Christian Martell" at Cognac.EAC 00.315 has Pilatus PC-21 aircraft (EIV 1/13 Artois, EIV 3/4 Limousin et EIV 3/13 Auvergne) and Grob 120 aircraft (EIV 2/12 Picardie, STANEVAL 1/11 Roussillon et EIV 4/11 Jura). It manages des parcours de formations de navigants, désignés par "Mentor" (Mentor 1 ; Mentor 2 à partir de 2025). The insignia of EAC 00.315 is a stork on a night-blue starry background.

Tours Val de Loire Airport (French: Aéroport Tours-Val de Loire) (IATA: TUF, ICAO: LFOT) is an airport in the French department of Indre-et-Loire, 6 km (3.2 NM) north-northeast of the city of Tours in the Loire Valley (Val de Loire). The airport is located partly on the territory of the communes of Tours and Parçay-Meslay. The airport is open to both national and international carriers, private planes and is certified for both instrument flight and visual flight.

Lycée Choiseul is a senior high school/sixth-form college in Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France. The school includes a boarding facility.The École Supérieure « Sévigné » first opened in 1884 with 50 students, and it became the Collège de Jeunes Filles, a school for girls. It had 777 students in 1939 and 1,801 students in 1959. By 1960 it was called the Collège national moderne et technique and received its current name shortly afterward. In 1972 the school became coeducational.

Many of the châteaux were built on hilltops, such as the Château d'Amboise, while the only one built in the riverbed is the Château de Montsoreau. Many had exquisite churches on the grounds or within the château.

The Archdiocese of Tours (Latin: Archidioecesis Turonensis; French: Archidiocèse de Tours) is a Latin Church archdiocese of the Catholic Church in France. The archdiocese has roots that go back to the 3rd century, while the formal erection of the diocese dates from the 5th century. The ecclesiastical province of Tours corresponds with the late Roman province of Tertia Lugdunensis. During Breton independence the see of Dol briefly exercised metropolitical functions (mainly tenth century). In 1859 the Breton dioceses except that of Nantes were constituted into a province of Rennes. Tours kept its historic suffragans of Le Mans, Angers together with Nantes and a newly constituted Diocese of Laval. In 2002 Tours lost all connection with its historic province, all its previous suffragans depending henceforth on an expanded province of Rennes (corresponding to the Brittany and Pays de la Loire administrative regions). Tours since 2002 has become the ecclesiastical metropolis of the Centre administrative region.
