Pechbusque (French pronunciation: ​[pɛʃbysk]; Occitan: Puègbusca) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France.

Vigoulet-Auzil (French pronunciation: [viɡulɛ ozil]; Occitan: Vigolen e Ausil) is a French commune located in the department of Haute-Garonne, in the Occitanie region. It is part of the urban unit of Toulouse and is a member of the urban community of Sicoval. It is located on the northern end of the southern slopes of Lauragais, above Ramonville-Saint-Agne and Castanet-Tolosan, in the southern suburbs of Toulouse. The municipal population was 906 inhabitants in 2015. Historically, and because of its geographical location the village has always lived in the Toulouse orbit, many capitouls and councilors of the Toulouse parliament, under the Ancien Régime, were Lords of Vigoulet or holders of domains in the communal territory. The demographic boom dates from the end of the 1960s, until then the population was small and the activity exclusively agricultural, mainly cereals. Today, the dominant feature of Vigoulet-Auzil is its residential character, in a preserved environment that is still very sparsely populated, while benefiting from easy communication to the city center and the Toulouse ring road. The village draw its notoriety from this residential quality, from the hillside landscapes and horse-riding activities linked to the presence of the two equestrian centers and of a pony club. Environmental protection is today a major issue for the village, in the context of the pressure exerted by the demographic growth of the Toulouse conurbation.

Taken literally, the Latin origin of the river's name, Aurigera, indicates it to be a source of gold.

Portet-sur-Garonne (French pronunciation: ​[pɔʁtɛ syʁ ɡaʁɔn], literally Portet on Garonne; Languedocien: Portèth de Garona) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France. Portet-Saint-Simon station has rail connections to Toulouse, Foix and Tarbes.

Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse (Toulouse Mathematics Institute; IMT) is a research laboratory of the mathematics community of the Toulouse area in France. It is partially supported by the French public research agency CNRS as unit UMR 5129. In 2020 the research in IMT is organized into six main teams, with some overlap: Analyse, Dynamique et géométrie complexe, Équations aux dérivées partielles, Géométrie topologie algèbre, Probabilités, Statistiques et optimisation.IMT is one of the largest French research centres in mathematics, and its scientific activities cover almost all domains of mathematics. It had approximately 200 permanent researchers and 100 PhD students in 2020, belonging to various institutions of the University of Toulouse and CNRS. The Laboratoire Plasma et Conversion d'Energie (LAPLACE), Toulouse is a Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) laboratory, operated jointly by the CNRS, the University of Toulouse and the Institut National Polytechnique of Toulouse. The Campus de cancérologie de Toulouse (Oncopole de Toulouse), is a cancer research center with a European dimension. Located in the south of Toulouse, in the Lafourguette district, on the symbolic site of the explosion of the AZF factory in 2001, the campus welcomes private and public actors with the aim of harmonizing their research for the fight against cancer.The campus is developed by the Toulouse Métropole, in partnership with the general council of Haute-Garonne, the regional council of Occitania, the State and Europe. The building has been designed by the architect Yann Padlewski from the Jean-Paul Viguier architectural firm.
