Meyenheim (German: Meienheim) is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. It lies on the Ill river, 12km east of Soultz-Haut-Rhin.

The Thur (French pronunciation: [tyʁ]) is a river in the Haut-Rhin department, Alsace, France, left tributary of the river Ill. It rises in the Vosges Mountains, and flows through the towns Thann and Cernay. It flows into the Ill (a tributary of the Rhine) near Ensisheim, north of Mulhouse. It is 53 km (33 mi) long.

Ensisheim (French pronunciation: [ɛnsisaim] ; in Alsatian Ansa (Alemannic German pronunciation: [ˈansa])) is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. It is also the birthplace of the composer Léon Boëllmann. The Germanic origins of the village's name reflect the area's history. Among the earliest-known clear examples for the practice of trepanation was identified from a Neolithic burial site near the town. Researchers from Freiburg University reported in 1997 an analysis of the well-preserved skeletal remains of an approximately 50-year-old man, whose cranium showed clear evidence of two trepanation procedures. One had fully healed and the other partially so, indicating the subject had survived the operations. The remains were dated to between 5100 and 4900 BC.On 7 November 1492, a 127 kilogram meteorite fell there, and since then it has attracted many meteorite enthusiasts. It was described in detail by the contemporary poet Sebastian Brant. The meteorite can still be seen in the town's museum, the Musée de la Régence.

Ungersheim (Alemannic German: Ungersche) is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department of Grand Est in eastern France. It forms part of the Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération, the inter-communal local government body for the Mulhouse conurbation.It is known for: the Écomusée d'Alsace, an open-air museum showing: 70 old, rebuilt Alsatian-style houses; many workshops of local traditional crafts with working craftspeople; the "Eden Palladium", a unique museum of old-timer carrousels and attractions still working; "Le Bioscope", a leisure park dedicated to environmental questions, proposing amusing and educating activities.

Merxheim is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. The French composer and organist Jules Bentz (1873–1962) was born in Merxheim.

Le Bioscope is a former theme park at Ungersheim, in the Upper Rhine (the Haut-Rhin département) of France. The 12½-hectare(31 acre) park – described in a European Commission 2004 press release as a place where visitors learn about health, life and the environment "whilst having fun" – is laid out in concentric circles, a design by Frédéric Jung meant to evoke the shockwaves caused by the impact of the Ensisheim meteorite, which struck nearby in 1492.The Alsace region first proposed the park in 1994. Bright White, a York-based firm, was responsible for "development, engineering and project management of the design phase", with the idea of meeting the park's goal to educate people "to take responsibility for their own actions with respect to equilibrium with the environment." The park closed in September 2012.

Gundolsheim was quarantined on 10 March 2020 due to an massive epidemic of Coronavirus. On 3 July 2020 Saysayer Purple suffered a mutiny and was denied from his mandate of mayor. Each year the village organizes a world event: the Gundo'bylette. Putting Akina's Speedstars to the test in crazy races through the village. The slogan of the event is "Kansai Dorifto".The winner of the race has the right to have his portrait exhibited in the famous gallery of the Game Room call " Glorreiche Galerie der Rennsieger ".
