Liedekerke (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlidəkɛrkə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. On January 1, 2006 Liedekerke had a total population of 11,920. It is also situated in the Pajottenland.The total area is 10.08 km² which results in a population density of 1,183 inhabitants per km². Liedekerke means "church on the little hill."

Van Roystadion is a stadium in Denderleeuw, Belgium. It is mainly used for football and is the home stadium of Dender EH. Built in 1997, it has a capacity of 6,429. In 2008, the FCV Dender EH-management decided to build a new stadium, because the old one didn't fit to League One conditions. It was created by local architect Frank Leenknegt and was known as the Florent Beeckmanstadion until 2011 when it was renamed to its current name.

Denderleeuw (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌdɛndərˈleːu] (listen)) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders in the Denderstreek. The municipality comprises the towns of Denderleeuw proper, Iddergem and Welle. In 2021, Denderleeuw had a total population of 20.730. The total area is 13.77 km².The current mayor of Denderleeuw is Jo Fonck, from the LvB.

Denderleeuw is a railway station in the town of Denderleeuw, East Flanders, Belgium. The station opened on 7 April 1855 and is located on lines 50, 89 and 90. The train services are operated by National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB/NMBS).

Meerbeke is a village in the Denderstreek in the province of East Flanders in Belgium. Administratively it is part of the municipality of Ninove. This rural community is located along the Dender River on the western border of what is known as "Pajottenland". With a total surface of 1056ha it is the second largest village in Ninove (behind Denderwindeke). With 5.888 inhabitants (in 2021) it's the most populated village in Ninove, next to the centre of Ninove itself. It is perhaps most known as the arrival location for the Flemish cycling race the Tour of Flanders (1973-2011). Meerbeke used to be an independent municipality until 1977 when it was merged into Ninove.

Affligem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɑfliɣɛm] (listen); anciently written Afflighem) is a municipality located some 20 km (12 mi) west-north-west of Brussels in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant, not far from the city of Aalst and the important railway junction of Denderleeuw. Affligem is situated in the Pajottenland. The municipality comprises the villages of Essene, Hekelgem and Teralfene (note that there is no village called Affligem proper). On 1 January 2006 it had 11,956 inhabitants. The total area is 17.70 km2 (7 sq mi), giving a population density of 676 inhabitants per km². Historically, the village is best known for the Benedictine Affligem Abbey, founded in 1062.

Teralfene is a village in the municipality of Affligem, Belgium. It has an area of 244 ha (602.94 acres). The other communities in Affligem are Hekelgem and Essene.

Gooik (Dutch pronunciation: [ɣoːik]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Gooik proper, Kester, Leerbeek, Strijland and Oetingen. It is also situated in the Pajottenland. On January 1, 2018 Gooik had a total population of 9,236. The total area is 39.70 km2 (15.33 sq mi), which gives a population density of 232 inhabitants per square kilometre (600/sq mi).

Ninove (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈninoːvə] ) is a city and municipality in the Flemish province of East Flanders in Belgium. It is on the river Dender, and is part of the Denderstreek. The municipality comprises the city of Ninove proper and since the 1976 merger of the towns of Appelterre-Eichem, Aspelare, Denderwindeke, Lieferinge, Meerbeke, Nederhasselt, Neigem, Okegem, Outer, Pollare and Voorde. On 1 January 2023 Ninove had a total population of 40.090. The total area is 72.57 km2 which gives a population density of 553 inhabitants per km2.

Denderhoutem is a village, located in the Denderstreek in the Flemish province of East Flanders (Belgium). Since 1977 it is part of the municipality of Haaltert. The arms show a garb, most likely a symbol for agriculture. The old seals of the local council, dating from the 15th and 16th century, showed a tree, with on the sides two small shields, one with the lion of Flanders, the other with the arms of Burgundy. Why the council in the early 19th century applied for the garb instead is not known.

The Pajottenland (in English occasionally Payottenland) is a distinct region within the Flemish Brabant province and the south-western part of the Brussels Region of Belgium. The region is located west-southwest of Brussels. The Pajottenland is predominantly farmland, with occasional gently rolling hills, and lies mostly between the rivers Dender and Zenne / Senne. The area has historically provided food and drink for the citizens of Brussels, especially Lambic beers, which are only produced here and in the Zenne valley where Brussels is.

Affligem Abbey (Dutch: Abdij Affligem, French: Abbaye d'Affligem) is a Benedictine abbey in the municipality of Affligem, Flemish Brabant, Belgium, 19 km (12 mi) to the north-west of Brussels. Dedicated in 1086, it was the most important monastery in the Duchy of Brabant and therefore often called Primaria Brabantiae.
