The Museum of Technology the History of Gadgets and Gizmos (formerly The Museum of Technology, The Great War and WWII) is a technology museum in Throckenholt, a village in Lincolnshire, England, UK. The museum was originally started in the Old Town of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. After operating there for 15 years, the collection moved to a new, purpose-built centre in Throckenholt. The trustees spent four years creating the new space to house the collection. The new museum opened in August 2016. The displayed objects present the evolution of electrical, electronic, and warfare technology from 1850 to 1980, including World War I and World War II. The museum closes from October to May and opens on Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays during the summer months. Details of opening times are shown on the web site www.museumoftechnology.org.uk Many of the artefacts on display can be demonstrated, allow 1 to 2 hours to see the eclectic collection.The museum's former Hemel Hempstead site is due to reopen as a manicure salon and beauty parlour.

Throckenholt is a village in the civil parish of Sutton St Edmund (where the population is listed) in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England. It is located close to the border of Cambridgeshire about 16 miles (26 km) south-east of Spalding, 14 miles (23 km) west of Wisbech and 10 miles (16 km) south of Holbeach. The Museum of Technology, The Great War and WWII is in the village and opened its doors in 2016. Throckenholt Priory was sited here, it was a hermitage and chapel in existence from at least 1107–1540. It was granted to Thorney Abbey by Nigel, Bishop of Ely.Throckenholt was written as 'Trokenholt' in the 1240 Papal Rolls.

French Drove and Gedney Hill was a station on the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway near Gedney Hill in south Lincolnshire on the line between Spalding and March.

Holbeach Drove is a village in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 5 miles (8 km) east from Crowland, and at the junction of the B1166 and the B1168 roads. The village church is dedicated to St Polycarp. There is one local public house, the Golden Ball, and a shop-cum-petrol station.

Whaplode Drove is a village in the civil parish of Whaplode , in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England. It is approximately 10 miles (16 km) south from the market town of Spalding. The hamlet of Shepeau Stow is 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south-west. Whaplode Drove is a largely rural village and lies in the middle of the Lincolnshire Fens. The name 'Whaplode' derives from the Old English cwappa-lad meaning 'eel pout watercourse'.

Thorney Toll is a hamlet in Fenland District, in the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England. The hamlet sits either side of the A47 between Guyhirn and Peterborough. It is 12 miles from Wisbech. Shepeau Stow is a hamlet in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England. It is at the north-east edge of Whaplode civil parish, where it adjoins Crowland civil parish, and on the B1166 Hull's Drove road. Shepeau Stow is 7 miles (11 km) south-east from Spalding and 4 miles (6 km) east from Crowland. The hamlet's school is Shepeau Stow Primary School on Dowsdale Bank. In the 2012 latest Ofsted report, the school received an overall Grade 2 (Good), quality rating.

Wryde railway station was a station serving Wryde, Cambridgeshire on the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway between Wisbech and Peterborough. Originally built by the Peterborough, Wisbech and Sutton Bridge Railway, it was opened for goods traffic on 1 June 1866 and for passengers on 1 August of the same year. There was no passing loop at this station until 1906 when one was installed as part of the general upgrading of the line made to improve the King's Cross, Peterborough, Sheringham and Cromer services run in collaboration with the Great Northern Railway. Passenger services were withdrawn on 2 December 1957, but goods trains travelling between Murrow and the brickworks at Dogsthorpe, near Peterborough, continued to pass through the station until 31 October 1965.

Fenland Airfield or Fenland Aerodrome (ICAO: EGCL) is located 6 nautical miles (11 km; 6.9 mi) southeast of the town Spalding near the small village of Holbeach St Johns in Lincolnshire, England. Fenland Aerodrome provides general aviation operations and is a UK Civil Aviation Authority licensed aerodrome. This permits the airfield to be used for take-off and landing of aircraft engaged in flights for the purpose of public transport of passengers, including for the purpose of instruction in flying which is conducted by Fenland Flying School. The aerodrome operates on a non-PPR (Prior Permission Required) basis, except for non-radio flights and aircraft requiring Jet A-1 fuel.

Postland railway station was a station on the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway in Crowland, Lincolnshire, which is now closed. It took its name from the Postland estate, owned by the Marquess of Exeter. It originally opened in 1867, and remained open to passengers until 1961. Services to Cambridge and Doncaster ran from here. In July 1936, a serious accident took place at the station, involving Ex-GNR Class H4 2-6-0 No. 2764.Postland station was closed permanently in 1965. Train passengers from Crowland and the surrounding area must now use either Spalding railway station or Peterborough railway station. The closure of the station was not related to the Beeching axe of the same era.The station building and former signal box now lie on the B1166, which runs from Crowland to Throckenholt, and the station building has now been converted into a house.

Moulton Chapel is a village in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England. It is on the B1357 road, 4 miles (6 km) south from Moulton, 5 miles (8 km) south-west from Holbeach and 4 miles south-east from Spalding. The village is in the civil parish of The Moultons where the population was 3,504 at the 2011 census.

Thorney is a village in the Peterborough unitary authority in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Located around eight miles (13 km) east of Peterborough city centre, on the A47. Historically in the Isle of Ely, Thorney was transferred to the short-lived county of Huntingdon and Peterborough in 1965 and became part of the Peterborough district in 1974, on the merger into Cambridgeshire; the city became a unitary authority area in 1998.
