Bushbury

Bushbury North is a ward of Wolverhampton City Council, West Midlands, England. It is situated to the north of the city centre, on the city's border with South Staffordshire. As well as South Staffordshire, Bushbury North borders the Fallings Park, Bushbury South and Low Hill and Oxley wards, and forms part of the Wolverhampton North East constituency. It contains the northern part of Bushbury as well as Fordhouses. The National Trust property of Moseley Old Hall is nearby, over the border in Staffordshire, but can only be reached from Bushbury North. Northicote Secondary school is situated in the ward: it was briefly in the national spotlight in 1998 when its headteacher became the first of a Comprehensive school to receive a knighthood.

Moreton School is a co-educational secondary school located one-mile north east of Wolverhampton City Centre in the West Midlands of England. The school accommodates over 700 pupils.

Thomas Telford University Technical College (formerly West Midlands Construction UTC) is a mixed University Technical College (UTC) located in Wolverhampton, England. It opened in 2015, and is located on a former National Health Service site, which was vacated in 2012.

Our Lady and St. Chad Catholic Academy (A Specialist Sports College) is a Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Fallings Park area of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. The Building Schools for the Future program invested £7 million into improving the school, which was completed in September 2013. The school was funded another £4.7 million in 2018 to build 14 new classrooms and science laboratories.Originally, the school was titled "Our Lady and St. Chad Catholic Sports College"; however, it gained academy status in 2015, partnering with three schools in Wolverhampton.OLSC was led by Ms. Keelan for 30 years. In 2014 she was succeeded by Miss Ellis. The name of the school comes from the influence of St. Chad. The secondary building, the Marist Centre, was named after the Marist Brothers.

Bushbury South and Low Hill is a ward of Wolverhampton City Council, West Midlands, England. It is situated to the north of the city centre, bordering the Bushbury North, Fallings Park, Heath Town, St Peter's and Oxley wards, and forms part of the Wolverhampton North East constituency. It contains the southern part of Bushbury as well as Low Hill and part of the inner city area of Park Village. Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy and Moreton School as well as Fallings Park primary school lie within the ward, as does the Goodyear tyre factory, which has scaled down its operations considerably in recent years. The local pub, situated on Old Fallings Lane, was originally named "Highcroft" which changed to "The Moon Under Water" when new management was introduced. The pub's name was finally changed to "The New Highcroft", before being demolished and replaced with the Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home, a Sanctuary Group home specialising in residential and dementia care.

It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It is currently represented by Jane Stevenson of the Conservative Party, who was elected at the 2019 general election.

The Scotlands is a residential area of Wolverhampton, West Midlands (formerly Staffordshire), England. It predominantly consists of council houses built between 1935 and 1937 to rehouse families from town centre slums, and stands about two miles to the north-east of central Wolverhampton, near the main A460 road towards Cannock, effective as an extension to the large Low Hill housing estate which was developed a decade earlier.

Fordhouses is a suburb of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. It is situated to the north of the city centre, adjacent to the border with Staffordshire, within the Bushbury North ward of Wolverhampton City Council. It is the most northerly part of the city alongside Pendeford, adjacent to the M54 motorway.

The Scotlands Estate is a residential area of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. The area was built between 1935 and 1937 as council housing to rehouse families from town centre slums. It formed an effective extension to the nearby Low Hill estate, which was also developed by the local council and was built between 1925 and 1929. Part of the estate, including all of Barrie Crescent and most of the northern section of Keats Road, was demolished in the mid 1980s following the deterioration of the condition of many houses.The remaining houses have since been refurbished. However, the Scotlands is still one of the most deprived parts of Wolverhampton, with high levels of crime, poverty and unemployment.

Bushbury railway station was a railway station opened by the London and North Western Railway on 2 August 1852. It served the Bushbury area of Wolverhampton, and near to the junction of Showell Road and Bushbury Lane. The station was located within the Bushbury Junction complex, and was between the Grand Junction line to Wednesfield Heath and the later Stour Valley Line to Wolverhampton High Level; and just to the north of the connecting line to Wolverhampton Low Level. The station closed in 1912.
