The Freeport Center is a manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution center located in Clearfield, Utah. It was originally built in 1942 as the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot, which was decommissioned in 1962. A portion of the old Navy Supply Depot now exists as Clearfield Job Corps. This lines the westernmost section of the Freeport Center. The 680-acre (280 ha) center consists of 78 buildings, totaling more than 7,000,000 square feet (650,000 m2). Buildings range in size from 4,000 square feet (370 m2) to 400,000 square feet (37,000 m2). Most buildings have a railroad loading dock on one side, and a truck loading dock on the other. About 70 companies have manufacturing and distribution facilities in the Freeport Center, including Lifetime Products, Northrop Grumman, Don Julio Foods, and Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company. It is also the former headquarters of defunct roller coaster company Arrow Dynamics. The Freeport Center's name is a reference to Utah's Freeport Law, enacted in 1966, which exempted inventory held for sale from property taxes.

Webster University Utah is a branch of Webster University, an independent, accredited, non-profit, private university in St. Louis, Missouri. Its campus location is at Hill Air Force Base, comprising only one of Webster's many campuses around the world. Webster opened its first Utah campus at Hill Air Force Base in 2000, and currently offers master's degree programs. Webster is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. Designed to accommodate working schedules, classes meet one night a week from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. With five nine-week terms per year, most master's degree can be completed in 15–30 months by taking one or two courses each term.

Clearfield (Shoshone: Gu-ta-nu-a-de, “Place where the wind blows hard”) is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. The population was 31,909 at the 2020 census. The city grew rapidly during the 1940s, with the formation of Hill Air Force Base, and in the 1950s with the nationwide increase in suburb and "bedroom" community populations and has been steadily growing since then. Clearfield is a principal city of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Davis, Morgan, and Weber counties.

Clearfield station is a commuter rail station in Clearfield, Utah, United States served by the FrontRunner, Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) commuter rail train that operates along the Wasatch Front with service from Ogden in central Weber County through Davis County, Salt Lake City, and Salt Lake County to Provo in central Utah County.

Clearfield High School is a secondary school in Clearfield, Utah, United States. It is part of the Davis School District. The school's mascot is the peregrine falcon, and its colors are green and white with an accent of gold. In 1960-61 students opened the doors of the new Clearfield High School, with the first class graduating in spring 1963. The current principal is Chris Keime.

The George W. Layton House, in Davis County, Utah near Layton, Utah, was built around 1897. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is a two-story red brick house with a stone foundation designed by architect William Allen. It was deemed "significant as one of a very limited number of houses designed by the Kaysville architect William Alien, that is virtually unaltered. William Alien was the only architect in Davis County at the time that the Layton house was designed by, and he continued to be the leading architect in the county until the 1920s. The Layton house also documents the use of pattern book house types in the late nineteenth century, and it is the same pattern that Allen used in the John Henry Layton house in West Layton, and possibly in the Joseph Adams house in East Layton. Of the three houses, the George W. Layton house received the most ornate program of ornament, and thereby records one extreme of the stylistic possibilities of pattern book design. The complexity of the brick and wood ornamentation, and its unaltered and well preserved condition make the George W. Layton house one of the most distinctive Victorian pattern book houses in Utah. In addition, Layton, who is credited with the resident's actual construction, served in a number of capacities within the community."It is Late Victorian in style and is located at 2767 W. Gentile St.Its pattern book design has an "impressive program of East lake and Queen Anne ornamentation. The pattern Alien chose for this house is almost exactly the same as the one he used for the John Henry Layton house which is several miles east on West Gentile Street. The John H. Layton house has longer proportions, but in general massing it is the mirror image of the George W. Layton house."In 2019 it was billed as The Grand Victorian and is available for weddings and receptions, having apparently served as a wedding venue since 2002. The venue includes a waterfall and bridge, despite the flat terrain.

Syracuse is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. It is situated between the Great Salt Lake and Interstate 15, about 30 miles (48 km) north of Salt Lake City. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city has seen rapid growth and development since the 1990s. The city population was 24,331 at the time of the 2010 census, an increase of 158.9% since the 2000 census. While settlers have populated the area since the mid 1800s, Syracuse was incorporated on September 3, 1935. The city was named by early settlers for Syracuse, New York, which was famed for its salt production in the 19th century.

The Clearfield Canal Trail is a 3-mile-long (4.8 km) trail that parallels the Davis Weber Canal within Clearfield, Utah, United States. It begins at North 1200 West (University Park Boulevard) and travels northwest, roughly along the course of the canal. Along its path, it crosses South 1500 East and Bernard Fisher Highway (SR-193/South 700 East) before crossing twice over the canal. The trail temporarily ends at East 200 South, immediately east of I-15, but resumes at East 300 North (on the west side of I-15. After crossing Bruce Street, it reaches West 650 North (SR-103), with North Main Street (SR-126 to the west and I-15 to the east). There are eventual plans to connect the two sections of the trail.

The Northern Utah Academy for Math Engineering and Science (NUAMES) is a public charter high school for students in grades 10-12. The school started to provide an educational experience that prepares high school students for an early transition into a university baccalaureate program in fields related to math, science and engineering. Students who have attended NUAMES for a full year and meet Weber State's admission requirements receive a scholarship to attend the university while they are also completing their high school diploma. Many students earn their associate degrees by the time they graduate. The NUAMES campus is on the Weber State University Davis campus in Layton, Utah. The principal is Brenda Casper, the assistant principal is Jamie Froerer and Nate Taggart is the director of business operations.

Sunset is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 5,122 at the 2010 census.Sunset emerged as a distinct place in 1916.

The Davis Conference Center is a 110,000-square-foot convention/conference center with over 70,000-square-feet of flexible meeting space located in Layton, Utah, United States. After several failed attempts, the center opened its doors in 2004. The $11.3 million center was a joint effort financed and developed by Davis County, Layton city, and a group of developers led by Kevin Garn. “The center, which hosts 700 groups a year, is unique in that it offers exhibit space, conference space and an adjoining hotel for lodging,” according to Dave Hilliard, the director of operations for the Davis Conference Center. In the conference's first year it hosted 726 events. The conference center is attached to a Hilton Garden Inn, owned by Kevin Garn, and within walking distance to several hotels, the Layton Hills Mall, and restaurants. The Davis Conference Center features event spaces of different sizes, the biggest of which is a 12,500-square-foot ballroom with a 1,000 person capacity.Two 85-foot-tall towers are mounted with LED light strips that indicate future weather forecasts. The Davis Conference Center is adorned with red rock from India, even though Utah is famous for its own red rock formations, but less expensive to purchase overseas saving tax payer dollars.
