Brasschaat

Brasschaat Airfield (Dutch: Vliegveld Brasschaat, (ICAO: EBBT)) is an airfield located 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Brasschaat, Antwerp, Belgium. Formerly the base of the Belgian Army Flying Service, it is today home to recreational flying, including gliders and microlights.

Schoten (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsxoːtə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality located in Antwerp Province, Belgium. The municipality only comprises the town of Schoten proper. As of 1 January 2020 Schoten has a total population of 34,311. The total area is 29.55 km2 (11.41 sq mi) which gives a population density of 1,122/km2 (2,910/sq mi). Schoten borders the Antwerp districts Merksem to the west and Deurne to the south west. Neighboring municipalities include Brasschaat to the north, Brecht to the north east, Schilde to the east, and Wijnegem to the south.

The Arrondissement of Antwerp (Dutch: Arrondissement Antwerpen; French: Arrondissement d'Anvers) is one of the three administrative arrondissements in Antwerp Province, Belgium. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. The territory of the Judicial Arrondissement of Antwerp coincides with that of the Administrative Arrondissement of Antwerp.

The Fort of Merksem (Dutch: Fort van Merksem, French: Fort de Merksem) was a 32-hectare (0.32 km2) military fortification in Merksem, Belgium. It was built in the year 1876 as part of the defensive ring around the city of Antwerp. In October 1914, during the final stages of the Siege of Antwerp, the fort was slighted by the Belgians in their withdrawal before the advancing German forces. Until 1972 the fort was a military area and in 1977 the fort became public.

The Dessel–Turnhout–Schoten Canal is a 63 km long canal across the province of Antwerp, Belgium. It links Dessel to Schoten, where the canal flows into the Albert Canal. Construction of the eastern section between Dessel et Turnhout canal started in 1844 and was completed a year later. The western section, linking to the Maastricht Canal (subsequently replaced by the larger and more freely navigable Albert Canal) at Schoten was started in 1854 but completed only in 1875.

Rugbyclub Diabolos is a Belgian rugby club in Schilde, founded in 1991. The club is affiliated to the Belgian Rugby Federation through its flemish branch Rugby Vlaanderen.The first teams, both men´s and women´s, played in 2022-2023 in the Belgian third division (D3). The club also has a Mixar team including players with different abilities.

Ekeren is a railway station in the town of Ekeren, Antwerp, Belgium. The station opened on 3 July 1854 on the Antwerp–Lage Zwaluwe railway, known in Belgium as Line 12.

Kapellen (Dutch pronunciation: [kɑˈpɛlə(n)] (listen), old spelling: Cappellen) is a municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality lies in the Campine in the northern part of the province. Kapellen consists only of the town of Kapellen proper. In 2021, Kapellen had a total population of 27,157. The total area is 37.11 km². Kapellen consists out of multiple neighbourhoods, Kapellen Center, the eastern part of Putte, Kapellenbos, Hoogboom and Zilverenhoek. A number of neighbourhoods in Kapellen have a residential character and are characterized by their villaparcs, exclusive landhouses, and beautiful castles. Many who flee the always busy town enjoy Kapellen's peaceful nature. The town's football club is R. Cappellen F.C. and has played at the national level for many years.

Kapellen is a railway station in the town of Kapellen, Antwerp, Belgium. The station opened on 26 June 1854 on the Antwerp–Lage Zwaluwe railway, known in Belgium as Line 12. Just outside the station, to the north, on the east-side there is a single rail fork towards the military domain of Brasschaat. This fork leaves from the only stabling track between Noorderdokken and Essen. When the schedule is disrupted the slow train is often put on the sidetrack so that the express trains can pass the slow train.

Antwerp International School (AIS) is a private, international, coeducational preschool, prekindergarten, kindergarten, primary, secondary school located in Antwerp, Belgium. The school was founded in 1967 and hosts approximately 400 students and 90 staff members from at least 35 different nationalities. AIS offers the full continuum of the International Baccalaureate, which includes the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). The first senior class of AIS graduated in 1971, and the school celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017.

Stadion Broodstraat was an Association football or soccer venue located in Antwerp, Belgium. The venue hosted the Royal Antwerp FC from 1908 to 1923. It served as the main venue for the football tournament at the 1920 Summer Olympics.
