Kfar Menahem

The Dalia power station is a power station located approximately 2 km southeast of Kfar Menahem, Israel, nearby Tel Tzafit. Owned by Dalia Energies, Ltd., an Israeli holding company, it is the largest independent power station in the country. It can generate up to a total of 870 megawatts (MW) of electricity which is sold to the IEC and to large industrial/institutional customers through the IEC's distribution grid. The station is located adjacent to the IEC's Tzafit power complex, a major switching junction in the national electrical grid that also houses several existing IEC-owned and operated turbines with a total generation capacity of 615MW. The Dalia power station consists of two Alstom KA26 single-shaft combined cycle power plant packages, each containing a GT26 gas turbine, STF15C steam turbine, generator and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). Alstom is also tasked with designing and constructing the station, then operating and maintaining it over a 20-year period. Additionally, Dalia Energies has requested permission from the electric authority to conduct a feasibility study for adding additional generation units to the station. The station's primary fuel is natural gas, with light fuel oil acting as a backup fuel. The plant's owners have committed to purchasing at least 1.4 billion cubic meters (BCM) of natural gas annually from the offshore Tamar gas field to power the station.

Kiryat Mal'akhi–Yoav railway station (Hebrew: תחנת רכבת קריית מלאכי – יואב) is a railway station in southern Israel, next to Kfar Menahem and Highway 6. It is named after the closest city, Kiryat Mal'akhi, and the adjoining Yoav Regional Council. It opened in late 2018. The station was envisioned as part of the renovation works for the railway to Beersheba, but a budget had not been allocated, so only the station's platforms were originally built. In 2016, a tender was published for the construction of the station. In 2017, the proposed name was changed from Kfar Menahem to Kiryat Mal'akhi – Yoav, despite it being located 14 km (8.7 mi) from the city.

Al-Tina, or Khirbet et-Tineh was a Palestinian Arab village in the Ramle Subdistrict of Mandatory Palestine. The village was located between the Shfela and southern Israeli coastal plain. It was depopulated during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War on July 8, 1948, by the Givati Brigade under Operation An-Far. It was located 20. km south of Ramla. The hill on which the village was built stands today next to the Kiryat Mal'akhi – Yoav railway station and next to Highway 6. Archeological excavations at the site revealed the remains of a Byzantine settlement.

al-'Azi (Arabic: العازي, Hebrew: אל עזי) is an Arab village in Israel. Located just south of Kfar Menahem, it falls under the jurisdiction of Yoav Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 200. The village was officially recognized in 2003 but existed long before then. The Trans-Israel Highway was built on land owned by the village, with the village given land owned by neighbouring kibbutz Kfar Menahem as compensation.

Tell es-Safi (Arabic: تل الصافي, romanized: Tall aṣ-Ṣāfī, "White hill"; Hebrew: תל צפית, Tel Tzafit) was an Arab Palestinian village, located on the southern banks of Wadi 'Ajjur, 35 kilometers (22 mi) northwest of Hebron which had its Arab population expelled during the 1948 Arab–Israeli war on orders of Shimon Avidan, commander of the Givati Brigade. Archaeological excavations show that the site (a tell or archaeological mound) was continuously inhabited since the 5th millennium BCE. It appears on the Madaba Map as Saphitha, while the Crusaders called it Blanche Garde. It is mentioned by Arab geographers in the 13th and 16th centuries. Under the Ottoman Empire, it was part of the district of Gaza. In modern times, the houses were built of sun-dried brick. The villagers were Muslim and cultivated cereals and orchards. Today the site, known as Tel Tzafit, is an Israeli national park incorporating archaeological remains which some have identified as the Philistine city of Gath, mentioned in the Bible. The remains of the Crusader fort and the Arab village can also be seen on the tell.

Al-Khayma (Arabic: الخيمة) was a Palestinian Arab village in the Ramle Subdistrict of Mandatory Palestine. It was depopulated during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War on July 9, 1948, by the Givati Brigade of Operation An-Far. It was located 18.5 km south of Ramla.

Gath or Gat (Hebrew: גַּת, romanized: Gaṯ, lit. 'wine press'; Latin: Geth, Philistine: 𐤂𐤕 *Gīt) was one of the five cities of the Philistine pentapolis during the Iron Age. It was located in northeastern Philistia, close to the border with Judah. Gath is often mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and its existence is confirmed by Egyptian inscriptions. Already of significance during the Bronze Age, the city is believed to be mentioned in the El-Amarna letters as Gimti/Gintu, ruled by the two Shuwardata and 'Abdi-Ashtarti. Another Gath, known as Ginti-kirmil (Gath of Carmel) also appears in the Amarna letters. The site most favored as the location of Gath is the archaeological mound or tell known as Tell es-Safi in Arabic and Tel Zafit in Hebrew (sometimes written Tel Tzafit), located inside Tel Zafit National Park, but a stone inscription disclosing the name of the city has yet to be discovered. Archaeologists believe it was the largest city of the Southern Levant during the 10th and 9th centuries BCE. Recent excavations have uncovered dramatic evidence of a siege and subsequent destruction of the site in the late 9th century BCE, which can be related to the biblical verse that mentions its capture by Hazael of Aram Damascus. A Gittite is a person from Gath.

Kfar HaRif (Hebrew: כְּפַר הָרִי"ף, lit. Village of the Rif) is a moshav in southern Israel. Located on the border of the Shephelah and the Israeli coastal plain around 2 kilometres northeast of Kiryat Malakhi, it is the largest community under the jurisdiction of Yoav Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 843. The HaRif creek, named after the community, is located to the east of the village. Nearby are some wells.

Al-Masmiyya al-Saghira (Arabic: المسمية الصغيرة), also known as Mamsiyyat al-Hurani and al-Huraniyya, was a Palestinian Arab village in the Gaza Subdistrict, located 42 kilometers (26 mi) northeast of Gaza. It was situated at an elevation of 60 meters (200 ft) in the southern coastal plain of Ottoman Syria. Established in the late 19th century by locals from its twin Al-Masmiyya al-Kabira, Hamula clan of Al-Hurani, following fueds with other residents. Al-Masmiyya al-Saghira was depopulated during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, but prior to that, in 1945, it had a population of 530 inhabitants.

Bil'in was a Palestinian Arab village in the Gaza Subdistrict. It was depopulated by the Israel Defense Forces during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War on July 8, 1948, under Operation An-Far. It was located 39 km northeast of Gaza and the village contained two wells which supplied it with drinking water.

Revadim (Hebrew: רְבָדִים, lit. "terraces") is a kibbutz in southern Israel. Located in the southern Shephelah (Judean foothills) region, it falls under the jurisdiction of Yoav Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 825.

Jilya was a Palestinian Arab village in the Ramle Subdistrict of Mandatory Palestine. The Romans referred to it as Jilya by Galla. It was depopulated during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War by the Givati Brigade of the first stage of Operation Dani on July 9, 1948. It was located 17 km south of Ramla.
