Hastings station (MBTA)

The Kendal Green Historic District is a rural residential district running along North Avenue (Massachusetts Route 117) in Weston, Massachusetts. It extends for about three-quarters of a mile, and includes elements representative of the development of Weston from a rural agricultural community to a residential suburb of Boston. In addition to a variety of predominantly residential and agricultural properties, it includes two formerly industrial sites important in Weston's history: the site of the Hobbs Tannery, and that of the Hook and Hastings Organ Factory. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Kendal Green station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Weston, Massachusetts, US, served by the Fitchburg Line. The station has a single platform serving two tracks; it is not accessible. It originally opened with the Fitchburg Railroad in 1844 as "Weston"; it was renamed Kendal Green after the green cloth around 1886. A new station building was constructed in 1896. Service passed to the Boston and Maine Railroad in 1900, and to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in the 1970s. The former station building, reused as a private residence, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 as a contributing property to the Kendal Green Historic District.

The Isaac Hobbs House is a historic colonial house in Weston, Massachusetts. It was built about 1749 by Ebenezer Hobbs, a prominent local citizen. His son Isaac was a veteran of the American Revolutionary War and owner of an adjacent tannery that was an important local business. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and included in the Kendal Green Historic District on March 1, 2000.

Stony Brook is a stream largely running through Lincoln and Weston, Massachusetts, then forming the Weston/Waltham boundary, and emptying into the Charles River across from the Waltham/Newton boundary. It has two tributaries, Cherry Brook and Hobbs Brook, and its watershed includes about half of Lincoln and Weston as well as parts of Lexington and Waltham. Since 1887, it has been the water supply for Cambridge, along with the Hobbs Brook Reservoir.

Weston station is a former railroad station in Weston, Massachusetts. Located off Church Street in the Weston town center, it was originally operated by the Central Massachusetts Railroad, which constructed it in the board-and-batten style in 1881.The station building was reused by a news agency by 1962, by which time it and Kendal Green station had the same private owner. Boston and Maine Railroad service was subsidized by the MBTA and added to the MBTA Commuter Rail system in 1965. The station closed on November 26, 1971, when service on the Central Mass Branch was terminated due to poor track conditions and low ridership. The station was located below grade, with a staircase leading from the Church Street overpass to the station. The station building and staircase are still extant as of 2018, but are in disrepair. In 2022, Weston station was listed on the Massachusetts Most Endangered Historic Resources Program, in an attempt to identify preservation opportunities.

Silver Hill station was an MBTA Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line station in Weston, Massachusetts, United States. The station had a small shelter, parking area, and a gravel boarding area; it was not accessible. It was the least-used station in the entire MBTA system in 2018, with an average of just eleven daily boardings. Silver Hill station opened in 1844 as one of the original stops on the Fitchburg Railroad. The Boston and Maine Railroad unsuccessfully attempted to close the station in 1959. It remained in use until its temporary closure by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in December 2020 due to low ridership and a lack of accessibility, with indefinite closure effective April 2021.

The Cambridge School of Weston (also known as CSW or The Cambridge School) is an independent, coeducational high school in Weston, Massachusetts. Currently, the school has 325 students in grades 9 to 12, with approximately 70% day students and 30% boarding students.

The Silver Hill Historic District encompasses the first major residential subdivision of Weston, Massachusetts. It includes 79 buildings on Silver Hill and Westland Roads, and Merriam Street. The area of Silver Hill and Westland Roads was formally laid out in 1905, while Merriam Street is a very old country road which had seen some development in the 1890s. The houses in the district are predominantly Colonial Revival and Queen Anne in their styling, a relative rarity in Weston although common in other Boston suburbs. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Hobbs Brook Basin Gate House is a historic waterworks gatehouse off Winter Street at the mouth of Hobbs Brook in Waltham, Massachusetts. The gatehouse forms part of the water supply system of Cambridge, Massachusetts, was built in 1894–95, and was placed in service in 1897. The building, designed by Marshall N. Stearns, is a single-story granite-faced structure standing on a granite platform that is accessed from Winter Street via a wooden bridge. It has narrow arched openings, and is topped by a flat roof with a bracketed cornice and copper balustrade.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Established in 1922, the company reincorporated in 1928 and adopted its present name in 1959. During 2018, the company had around 67,000 employees worldwide and annual revenues of approximately US$25.35 billion. More than 90% of Raytheon's revenues were obtained from military contracts and, as of 2012, it was the fifth-largest military contractor in the world. As of 2015, it was the third largest defense contractor in the United States by defense revenue.In 2003, Raytheon's headquarters moved from Lexington, Massachusetts, to Waltham, Massachusetts. The company had previously been headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from 1922 to 1928, Newton, Massachusetts, from 1928 to 1941, Waltham from 1941 to 1961 and Lexington from 1961 to 2003.

The Gifford School is a special education school located on Route 20, in Weston, Massachusetts. In total, it has approximately 100 students. The school takes students ages 8 and up, and is separated into a lower school (elementary school), a middle school, and a high school departments, each with their own principal, social worker, and head teacher.

Weston is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, about 15 miles west of Boston. At the time of the 2020 United States Census, the population of Weston was 11,851.Weston was incorporated in 1713, and protection of the town's historic resources is driven by the Weston Historical Commission and Weston Historical Society. The town has one Local Historic District, 10 National Register Districts, 26 Historic Areas, and seven houses individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Weston's predominance as a residential community is reflected in its population density, which is among the lowest of Boston's suburbs near or within Route 128. More than 2,000 acres, or 18 percent of the town's total acreage, have been preserved as parks, fields, wetlands, and forests, with 90 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing. Thirty-seven scenic roads, as defined by Massachusetts law, maintain the town's aesthetic value and historical significance, affording Weston a semi-rural ambiance. The town is an upper class suburb of Boston, and is among the most affluent in New England.
