The Château de Mursay is a ruined 16th-century castle in the commune of Échiré, 10 km north of Niort in the Deux-Sèvres département of France. The Château de Mursay was the residence of Agrippa d'Aubigné, grandfather of Madame de Maintenon (née Françoise d'Aubigné). Situated on the banks of the Sèvre Niortaise river, the castle has been bought by the commune to avoid it falling into ruins, the roof having been lost some years ago. It has been listed since 1952 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

The Donjon de Niort or Château de Niort (the former is most often used today) is a medieval castle in the French town of Niort in the département of Deux-Sèvres. The castle was started by Henry II Plantagenet and completed by Richard the Lionheart. It was defended by a rectangular curtain wall and was damaged during the Wars of Religion. Les Halles de Niort (French pronunciation: [le al də njɔʁ], English: Niort Indoor Market) is a market hall in the town of Niort, in the French department of Deux-Sèvres. Niort has had covered markets since the 13th century and there have been three structures known as the "Halles de Niort". The original market buildings were located in the centre of the town on what is now Rue Victor Hugo, a pedestrianised shopping street. After these were demolished in 1793, Niort's market moved to its present site on the banks of the Sèvre Niortaise. The current building, consisting of a metal and glass pavilion atop a stone-built base, was inaugurated in 1871. It was inscribed as a monument historique and listed in the Base Mérimée in 1987.

Since 2000, it has been owned by the Communauté d'Agglomération de Niort. Since 2005, volunteers have been replaced by teams of professionals. Its architecture is remarkable, having never been altered. Notably, the castle supports spurs of almond wood.

Niort played their first game at the Stade René Gaillard on 3 August 1974. The record attendance at the stadium is 16,715 for the game between Chamois Niortais and Olympique Marseille in 1988.
