Wilmington is an industrial area east of the River Hull in Kingston upon Hull, England.

Sculcoates railway station was a railway station on the North Eastern Railway's Victoria Dock Branch Line in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was first opened by the York and North Midland Railway on 1 June 1853 and closed in November 1854. It was reopened in August 1865, before closing permanently on 9 June 1912.The station has been demolished but an associated railway goods shed remains in use by a road haulage firm.

Sculcoates is a suburb of Kingston upon Hull, north of the city centre, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England.

Hull Cannon Street railway station was the passenger terminus in Hull of the Hull, Barnsley and West Riding Junction Railway and Dock Company, which was rebranded in 1905 as the Hull and Barnsley Railway. It opened on 27 July 1885. The station was planned as a goods station only, and the passenger terminus should have been built a quarter of a mile south on Charlotte Street. Lack of funds meant that Cannon Street station had to serve both functions. Passenger services were provided in a converted building originally intended as a carriage shed.Hull Cannon Street station closed to passengers on 14 July 1924, after the London and North Eastern Railway had built the Spring Bank chord to Hull Paragon, and passenger services were diverted there. It closed completely on 3 June 1968. The wooden passenger buildings had disappeared by the late 1970s, the goods office which stood parallel to the street was demolished after 2002. In 2005 Hull College has built motor vehicle workshops for training purposes on the site. Only one set of the iron entrance gates with the original company legend has been reused as the main entrance to the new facilities.

Stoneferry (archaic Stone-Ferry, or Stone ferry) is a suburb of Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was formerly a small hamlet on the east bank of the River Hull, the site of a ferry, and, after 1905, a bridge. The area is primarily industrial, and is situated on the east bank of the river, as well as close by areas on the west bank. Stoneferry Road (A1033 section) travels south through Stoneferry and Wilmington towards the centre of Hull. Ferry Lane (eastern end of the A1165) runs east for a short distance from Stoneferry bridge to meet Stoneferry Road.

The Hull History Centre is an archive and local studies library in Hull, England. It houses the combined collections of both the Hull City Council and Hull University archives and local studies resources. This collaboration between Hull City Council, Hull University, and the Heritage Lottery Fund made Hull the first city in the UK to unite local council and university collections under one roof.

Hull College is a Further Education and Higher Education establishment based in Kingston upon Hull, England. It provides vocational courses, apprenticeships, Higher Education and adult learning courses, with a focus on equipping young people and adults with the skills needed for long-term career success. The college has approximately 2,100 adult learners, 1,600 learners aged 16 to 18, 1,000 apprentices, 167 learners aged 14 to 16, and 109 learners with high needs. The college operates from three sites. Its main campus is located at Queen's Gardens, with satellite sites at Cannon Street and the Steve Prescott Centre. The college was awarded a 'Good' Ofsted rating following a full enhanced skills inspection that took place in late October 2023. The organisation was also recognised for its exceptional contribution to meeting skills needs, earning the highest accolade of 'Strong'.In the report, inspectors rated a range of provision types with Personal Development and Adult Learning Programmes judged to be 'Outstanding' and Education Programmes for Young People, Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Provision for Learners with High Needs, Apprenticeships, and Leadership and Management all given a rating of 'Good'.

The Wilberforce Monument is a monument honoring English politician and abolitionist William Wilberforce in Kingston Upon Hull, England. The ashlar structure consists of a Doric column topped by a statue of Wilberforce. Construction on the monument began in 1834 and was completed the following year. In 1952, it was designated a Grade II listed structure.

The Hull New Theatre is a theatre in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It opened in 1939 as a successor to the Hull Repertory Theatre Company. The Hull New Theatre features musicals, opera, ballet, drama, children's shows and one-night performances, with a highlight of the year being the annual Christmas pantomime. The Hull New Theatre is now a Grade II listed building.The theatre closed on 4 January 2016, after the December 2015 pantomime season, for a major refit in preparation of Hull being the UK City of Culture in 2017. Though £5 million of funding from the Arts Council was not granted Hull City Council intended to press ahead with the £11.7 million project. In the 2016 Budget George Osborne indicated that £13 million would be made available towards the City of Culture work in the city, which the council indicated would be used to cover the shortfall in funding for the theatre refurbishments. In March 2016 the Council announced a delay in the project and that reopening would not take place until summer 2017. In early 2017, it was announced that a one-off performance by The Royal Ballet on 16 September, would officially reopen the theatre. The theatre opened on 16 September 2017, with an increased capacity of 1,330, to a sell-out one-off performance by The Royal Ballet which was streamed live to Queen's Gardens to an additional audience of around 5,000.

Blaydes House is a grade II* listed Georgian house in High Street, Kingston upon Hull, England. Built in the 18th century for the Blaydes family, it is now owned by the University of Hull's Maritime Historical Studies Centre.

The Hull School of Art and Design (previously the Hull School of Art) is an art school in Kingston upon Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England.

Wilberforce House is a British historic house museum, part of the Museums Quarter of Kingston-upon-Hull. It is the birthplace of social reformer William Wilberforce (1759–1833), who used his time as a member of Parliament to work for the abolition of slavery throughout the British Empire. Like the nearby Blaydes House and Maister House, also on the High Street, the Grade I listed building was formerly a merchant's house with access to quayside on the River Hull.
