The Gujarat University is a public state university located at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The university is an affiliating university at the under-graduate level and a teaching university at the postgraduate level. It is accredited B++ by NAAC. It was established in 1949.

Amdavad ni Gufa (pronunciation ) is an underground art gallery in Ahmedabad, India. Designed by the architect Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi, it exhibits works of the Indian artist Maqbool Fida Husain. The gallery represents a unique juxtaposition of architecture and art. The cave-like underground structure has a roof made of multiple interconnected domes, covered with a mosaic of tiles. On the inside, irregular tree-like columns support the domes. It was earlier known as Husain-Doshi ni Gufa.There are facilities for special painting exhibitions and for projecting films. Gardens and a café are located above ground.

The Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) is a National Research Institute for space and allied sciences, supported mainly by Department of Space, Government of India. This research laboratory has ongoing research programmes in astronomy and astrophysics, atmospheric sciences and aeronomy, planetary and geosciences, Earth sciences, Solar System studies and theoretical physics. It also manages the Udaipur Solar Observatory and Mount Abu InfraRed Observatory. The PRL is located in Ahmedabad. The Physical Research Laboratory was founded on 11 November 1947 by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. The laboratory had a modest beginning at his residence, with research on cosmic rays. The institute was formally established at the M.G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad, with support from the Karmkshetra Educational Foundation and the Ahmedabad Education Society. Prof. K. R. Ramanathan was the first Director of the institute. The initial focus was research on cosmic rays and the properties of the upper atmosphere. Research areas were expanded to include theoretical physics and radio physics later with grants from the United States Atomic Energy Commission. PRL is involved in research, related to five major fields of science. PRL is also instrumental in the PLANEX planetary science and exploration programme. In June 2018, PRL scientists discovered exoplanet EPIC 211945201b or K2-236b, located 600 light years away from the Earth.The building of the PRL was designed by Achyut Kanvinde in 1962.

The Ahmedabad Textile Industry's Research Association (commonly known as ATIRA) is an autonomous non-profit association for textile research located in the Navarangpura area of Ahmedabad, India. It is the largest association for textile research & allied industries in India. Established on 13 December 1947, and started in 1949, ATIRA was recognized by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. It was later linked to the Ministry of Textiles.

Commerce Six Road is an elevated metro station on the East-West Corridor of the Blue Line of Ahmedabad Metro in Ahmedabad, India. This metro station consists of the main Navarangpura Fire Station along with Passport Seva Kendra and M.G. Science Institute in Ahmedabad. This metro station was opened to the public on 30 September 2022.

The Ahmedabad Stock Exchange (ASE) is the second oldest exchange of India located in the city of Ahmedabad in the Western part of the country and is fully owned by Government of India. It is recognised by Securities Contract (Regulations) Act, 1956 as permanent stock exchange. Its logo consists of the Swastika which is one of the most auspicious symbols of Hinduism depicting wealth and prosperity. In April 2018, the SEBI permitted the Ahmedabad stock exchange to exit the stock exchange business. Under the agreement, ASE will cease its activities and change its name to remove the phrase "stock exchange" from it.

The institute's founding director is Ravi J. Matthai. The B. K. School of Business Management is a business schools in the state of Gujarat. It is a postgraduate department of Gujarat University situated in Gujarat University Campus, Ahmedabad. The school was started in 1976, to serve local students and those who could not afford the higher fees at other schools. The school offers two-year full-time and three-year part-time MBA programs for working executives. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and part of B+ National Assessment and Accreditation Council accreditation. The school receives a grant from the University Grants Commission (UGC), and runs an Industry Institute Partnership cell under the UGC umbrella. The school started a port management program to cater needs of expanding international business and privatisation of ports in Gujarat. The school offers two year full-time MBA program and three year MBA part-time program (i.e. evening program for working executives) and offers specialization in finance, marketing and human resources. The school also offer post graduate diploma program in port management and diplomas in finance, human resources, and marketing and advertisement. The school updates courses in response to the demands of industry and offers placement assistance for graduating students.
