Sallèles-d'Aude

The canton of Le Sud-Minervois is an administrative division of the Aude department, southern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Sallèles-d'Aude.It consists of the following communes:

Moussan (French pronunciation: [musɑ̃] (listen); Occitan: Moçan) is a commune in the Aude department in southern France.

The Port de la Robine is located at PK168 on the Canal du Midi immediately adjacent to the Truilhas Bridge. The turn for the La Nouvelle branch is .5 km (1,600 ft) north east and the Cesse aqueduct .5 km (1,600 ft) south west. There is room for 80 boats. Cesse Aqueduct (French: Pont-Canal de la Cesse) is one of several aqueducts, or water bridge, created for the Canal du Midi. Originally, the canal crossed the Cesse on the level. Pierre-Paul Riquet, the original architect of the canal, had placed a curved dam 205 metres (673 ft) long and 9.10 metres (29.9 ft) high across the Cesse in order to collect water to make the crossing possible; the aqueduct replaced this dam. The Cesse Aqueduct was designed in 1686 by Marshal Sebastien Vauban and completed in 1690 by Antoine Niquet. Master mason was John Gaudot. It has three spans, the middle being 18.3 metres (60 ft) and the side being 14.6 metres (48 ft) each. It is located in Mirepeisset, Aude (11), Languedoc-Roussillon, France, about one mile from the port town of Le Somail.

The Orbieu (French pronunciation: ​[ɔʁbjø]; Occitan: Orbiu) is an 84.2-kilometre (52.3 mi) long river in the Aude département, in south central France. Its source is at Fourtou, in the Corbières Massif. It flows generally northeast. It is a right tributary of the Aude into which it flows between Raissac-d'Aude and Marcorignan, 10 kilometres (6 mi) northwest of Narbonne.

Mirepeisset (French pronunciation: [miʁpesɛ] ; Occitan: Mirapeisset) is a commune in the Aude department in southern France.

The Malvési uranium processing plant, a uranium refinery and conversion facility, is located in the Malvezy industrial area in the city of Narbonne in the south of France. The plant has an average capacity of about 14,000 tU as uranium tetrafluoride per year, and is projected to increase its capacity up to 21,000 tU per year. Comurhex, a subsidiary of the French nuclear concern Orano, operates the Malvési Facility.
