Ramot (Hebrew: רָמוֹת, lit. Heights), also known as Ramot Alon (Hebrew: רמות אלון), is an Israeli settlement in East Jerusalem. Ramot is one of Jerusalem's so-called "Ring settlements". The land was annexed by Israel 13 years after the Six-Day War. As part of Ramot was established in East Jerusalem, the international community considers it an Israeli settlement. The international community considers Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.
