Lake Sherwood, just southeast of Florida State Road 429, is a natural freshwater lake west of Orlando, Florida, in Orange County, Florida. This lake is surrounded by residential housing and retail establishments. Two roads cross the lake via bridges. Colonial Drive, an east to west street, crosses its middle and Florida State Road 429 cuts across the southern portion of the lake. Much of the lake shore is swampy. Lake Sherwood is listed in the Orange County Wateratlas as a private lake; there is no public access along its shores.

Lake Lotta is a kidney-shaped natural freshwater lake in Orange County, Florida. Florida State Road 50 (West Colonial Drive) travels over this lake. To the east are shopping areas and to the north, south and west are residential areas. The only public access to this lake is along Vizcaya Lake Road, along part of the southeast shore of the lake. There are no swimming areas or public boat ramps on this lake. No reliable fishing information exists for Lake Lotta on online sites.

West Oaks Mall is a local mall located in Ocoee, Florida near Orlando. It is anchored by Dillard's Clearance Center, J. C. Penney, a SunPass Customer Service Center, and a Bed Bath & Beyond Call Center, and has 115 store spaces, a food court, and a 14-screen AMC theater.

Pine Hills is home to several parks, five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. As a part of the Florida Coast To Coast Bicycle Trail, the Pine Hills Trail is also being developed running from Barnett Park through the middle of the community to Clarcona-Ocoee Road. As a result of residential demographic shifts, the area has been described as a minority majority community. In response to years of neglect and blight, several revitalization efforts are currently underway in the community bringing results.

WMMO's studios and offices are located in Orlando on North John Young Parkway (Route 423).The transmitter tower is off Park Hamilton Boulevard in Pine Hills. The site is shared with WTLN, owned by the Salem Media Group.

WTLN (990 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station located in Orlando, Florida. It is owned by the Salem Media Group and it airs a Christian talk and teaching radio format. The offices and studios are on Lake View Drive in Altamonte Springs. Some of the national religious leaders heard on WTLN include David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, Jim Daly, John MacArthur and Charles Stanley. Hosts pay for 30- to 60-minute segments on WTLN and can use the time to seek donations to their ministries. WTLN is known as "AM 990 and FM 101.5 The Word." WTLN broadcasts by day at 50,000 watts, the maximum power for commercial AM stations, covering much of Central Florida. It uses a directional antenna at all times, and must protect co-channel WMYM in Miami and WGML in Georgia. At night, when radio waves travel further, power is reduced to 14,000 watts, with its signal directional towards the east, to protect clear channel station CBW in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The transmitter is off Park Hamilton Boulevard in Pine Hills. Programming is also heard on 225-watt FM translator 101.5 W268CT in Orlando.

Orlo Vista is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Orange County, Florida, United States. While the spelling "Orlo Vista" is used by the U.S. Postal Service, the community is shown as Orlovista on federal maps. The population of the Orlovista census-designated place was 6,123 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The boundaries of the Orlovista CDP are West Colonial Drive (SF 50) on the north, Pine Hills Road on the east, Old Winter Garden Road (CR 526) and Carter Street at the Orlando city limits on the south, and Hiawassee Road on the west.The name is a portmanteau of Orlando and "vista".

Gotha is located between Ocoee and Windermere and had a population of 1,915 at the 2010 census, up from 731 as recorded by the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the resting place of the famous painter Bob Ross.
