Kingsthorpe

The A508 is a 50.961 kilometres (31.666 mi), A-class road for north–south journeys in central and south central England, forming the route from Market Harborough in Leicestershire, via Northampton, to Old Stratford in Northamptonshire, just outside Milton Keynes (and the Buckinghamshire border).

Radlands was a skate park situated in Northampton, England. It was constructed in 1992 by the Ince family (Chris and his sons Dee and Stee) in a former warehouse and was the first ever indoor skate park built in Britain. The 10,000 sq ft (930 m2) park was, before its closure, one of the largest in Britain. The owners claim that over 250,000 people used the park in its 12 years of operation. It was closed on 10 October 2004 due to being unprofitable, despite a campaign by local councillors on Northampton Borough Council to save it.In 2009, the Liberal Democrat administration at Northampton Borough Council, working with Northampton Skate Park Action Group, started to investigate how a new skate park of national significance might be built in Northampton. In 2011, the Liberal Democrats pledged £250,000 towards the build costs. Despite the change of political leadership at the council in May 2011, the project was able to continue. Wheelscape were selected as the preferred contractor. and Northampton Radlands Plaza was opened at Midsummer Meadow, Bedford Road, Northampton on 21 July 2012. The park was referred to as one of the UK's best five skateparks by British skateboarder Lucy Adams in an interview with The Guardian in August 2014.

Northampton Spencer F.C. was a football club based in Northampton, England. Their ground was Kingsthorpe Mill. They played in the United Counties League Division One.

Kingsthorpe Meadow is a 14.4 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Northampton. It is owned by Northampton Borough Council and managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This site on the Brampton arm of the River Nene is often flooded in the winter. There are hedges and ponds, together with areas of scrub. Birds include green woodpeckers, kestrels and snipe.There is access from Mill Lane.

Malcolm Arnold Academy is a mixed-gender Academy in Northampton, England, for pupils aged 11 – 18. It was established in 2010 following the closure of the Unity College in July of that year, and opened for year 7 and ages 16+ on 3 September 2010, and for other years on 6 September. The academy, which begins as an entirely new school, occupies the campus of the former Unity College and has the capacity for 1,450 pupils. The academy is a Church of England foundation academy but caters for all faiths and none. In February 2014 it was announced that the academy would be forming a Post-16 Football Scholarship scheme with local semi-professional club AFC Rushden & Diamonds. The academy has had four Principals. Mr Philip Cantwell was the first Principal and Mr Chris Steed, was Executive Principal 2014-2018, Mrs Koncarevik 2018-2019.These were followed by Executive Principal Mrs Helena Brothwell and Kimberley Lawton as Interim Principal. Mrs Megan Morris took over as Principal in September 2020 and promoted to Executive Principal in September 2022.

The Diocese of Northampton (Latin: Dioecesis Northantoniensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic church in England and Wales and suffragan of Westminster. Its see is in Northampton. The Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate and St Thomas of Canterbury is the mother church of the Diocese.

The Cathedral Church of St Mary and St Thomas is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Northampton, England. It is the seat of the Bishop of Northampton and mother church of the Diocese of Northampton which covers the counties of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and part of Berkshire (formerly in Buckinghamshire) north of the River Thames. The cathedral is situated in the north of the town, along the Barrack Road.

White Hills is a residential district of the town of Northampton, England. It is at the northern limits of the town, north of Kingsthorpe and between the A508 and A5199 roads. The population is included in the Spring Park ward of Northampton.

The University of Northampton is a public university based in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England. It was formed in 1999 by the amalgamation of a number of training colleges, and gained full university status as the University of Northampton in 2005.

Kingsthorpe College (KC), formerly Kingsthorpe Community College and before that Kingsthorpe Upper School, is a secondary school with academy status in Kingsthorpe, Northamptonshire. In September 2021 Kingsthorpe College joined the Orbis Education Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust, which also includes Southfield School in Kettering. As of 2023, the school has approximately 1,400 students on roll, with 160 in the sixth form. The school moved into a new building in 2007, and is located on a single site on Boughton Green Road. It was previously split on two sites, the other being next to Welford Road, which is on the A5199. The college has been a specialist sports college with a second specialism in history since 2006, after changing from a Language College and a former ICT College.

The Racecourse (also known as Racecourse or Racecourse Park) is an open space park situated in the centre of Northampton. It is the sports park for Northampton with football, rugby, bowls, tennis, and more. The park has many paths connecting different areas and over 100 streetlights. It is surrounded by the Mounts, Kingsley and Semilong estates. Due to the links of the Racecourse to Northampton's history, it remains one of the town's famous landmarks. The Racecourse did hold regular horse racing meetings. However, these ceased in 1904.

Racecourse Ground Promenade was a cricket ground in Northampton, Northamptonshire, situated within what was Northampton Racecourse. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1844, when the Gentlemen of the North played the Gentlemen of the South. The ground held its only first-class match in 1872 when a United North of England Eleven played a United South of England Eleven. The ground held its final recorded match in 1885 when Northamptonshire played Warwickshire. With the demise of the racecourse in 1904, the ground is today the location of Racecourse Park, a large open public space in the centre of Northampton.
