Bishop's College (Sri Lanka)

Visumpaya, is an official residence of the Government of Sri Lanka. It is located in Lillie Street, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The house has been used as a residence for visiting heads of state and local government ministers. In July 2023, government of Sri Lanka agreed to lease out this location to be developed as a hotel [1]

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (abbreviated PUCSL) (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහජන උපයෝගිතා කොමිෂන් සභාව Śrī Laṃkā mahajana upayōgithā komishan sabhāwa; Tamil: இலங்கைப் பொதுப் பயன்பாடுகள் ஆணைக்குழ) is the government entity responsible for policy formulation and regulation of the electric power distribution, water supply, petroleum resources, and other public utilities in Sri Lanka.The PUCSL was established by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act, No. 35 of 2002, and has authority for the execution of its duties through this Act, as well as through those established for organizations, agencies and corporations involved in providing public utilities in the country. It has a broad mandate to act both as a consumer protection authority, as well as an advisory, inspection and policy formulation body; as such, it is also involved in issuing and enforcing licences that regulate utilities on the island, enforcing contracts between utilities providers and the State, regulating utilities tariffs, resolving disputes (both between utilities providers and the State, and between them and the public), and the establishment and enforcing safety and quality standards within the utilities sector (including standardization of the country's power plugs and sockets). The Commission seeks to promote competition and efficiency among utilities providers, and harmonise the country's utilities sector with international standards.The commission has recently been assigned the task of producing Sri Lanka's long-term power generation plan in the middle of power shortages and an impending energy crisis in the country- the Electricity Supply 2020 and Beyond report has been the subject of minor controversy, with unionized employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board in particular taking issue with it.

Seema Malaka (Sinhala: සීමා මාලකය) is a Buddhist temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The temple is mainly used for meditation and rest, rather than for worship. Situated in the Beira Lake, the temple was originally constructed in the late 19th century. Seema Malaka is a part of the Gangaramaya Temple and is situated few hundred meters to its east.

Gangaramaya Temple (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ගංගාරාම මහාවිහාරය śrī gangārāma mahāvihāraya, Tamil: ஸ்ரீ கங்காராம மகாவிகாரம் Srī Gaṅgārāma Makāvikāram) is one of the most important temples in Colombo, Sri Lanka, being a mix of modern architecture and cultural essence. Located on the Beira Lake, it was completed in the late 19th century.

The A 0 is an A-Grade road in Sri Lanka. It connects Kollupitiya and Sri Jayawardanapura, the nation's capital. The highway passes through Rajagiriya.

Liberty Plaza Shopping Complex also popularly known as Liberty Plaza is a Sri Lankan shopping mall which is located at Western Province, Kollupitiya, Colombo. It sells both local and international brands. It is the first shopping complex to be constructed in Sri Lanka. It was constructed in early 1980s and it is regarded as one of Sri Lanka's oldest and iconic shopping complexes. Chitra Weddikkara served as the quantity surveyor for the construction of the site in 1980s. The shopping mall sells various products such as clothes, toys, wine, food, accessories, jewellery, etc. It is famous for mobile phone shops and it plays a significant role in the mobile phone business. Liberty Plaza also opened the first store of popular tea brand Mlesna in 1985. The shopping complex is opened everyday except for Sunday.

Temple Trees is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. It is located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Several recent Presidents have used it as their official residence as well.

Altair is a residential and commercial development under construction in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The building has a 68 floor vertical tower and 63 floor leaning or sloping tower. At 240.0 m (787 ft), the building will be one of the tallest buildings in Colombo when it is completed. The building is situated on the banks of the Beira Lake on a 2-acre plot of land leased by the Urban Development Authority of Sri Lanka to the Developer Indocean Developers. Development was halted for five years, and then restarted in 2020. The first phase of the building opened in March 2021.

Capitol TwinPeaks is a 50-storey twin-tower mixed residential building in the Central Business District of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Its towers are connected by South Asia's highest sky bridge, and is adjacent to Beira Lake.The building comprises over 400 apartments in two towers, and includes a fitness center, dining options, and outdoor recreational spaces.The P&T Group Singapore and Sanken jointly developed Capitol TwinPeaks. It falls under the oversight of the Sanken Group, Sanken Construction as the contractor and Capitol Developers as the developer.Capitol TwinPeaks received accolades at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2020, for architectural innovation and contribution to the real estate sector. It was also awarded the Green Certification by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL).

The Cenotaph War Memorial in Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo, Sri Lanka is a war memorial dedicated to the military personnel from Ceylon killed in action during the two world wars. It was designed by the architect Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens. It comprises a towering Cenotaph and Memorial Walls. The foundation stone was laid by Brigadier General Sir William Henry Manning, Governor of Ceylon on December 7, 1921, and was unveiled by him October 27, 1923 at the Galle Face Green and was known as the Victory tower. It was dismantled and re-erected at Victoria Park, during World War II after fears that the Japanese might use it as a marker to direct their artillery. The Cenotaph contains the names of those killed in the Great War, while the Memorial Wall behind it maintains the names of those killed in the Second World War. A single woman, Miss L. Midwood is listed among the dead of the Great War. An annual National Service of Remembrance is held at the site on Remembrance Sunday, the closest Sunday to 11 November (Armistice Day) each year.

Capital Alliance PLC, abbreviated as CALT, is a primary dealer in Sri Lanka. The company is a subsidiary of Capital Alliance Holdings Ltd. Capital Alliance Holdings Group is an investment bank. The company was incorporated in 2000 as Capital Asia Markets Ltd, a subsidiary of Asia Capital Ltd. The company changed its name to Capital Alliance Limited two years later. In 2003, Capital Alliance obtained a primary dealer licence from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Following an initial public offering, the company was listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in December 2021. Capital Alliance is ranked among the 100 most valuable brands in Sri Lanka.
