Gangaramaya Temple

The Empire is a residential complex consisting of two identical towers of 33 and 37 floors. The towers consists of a total of 104 apartments, including four penthouses with floor space ranging from 2,028 square feet (188.4 m2) to around 4,000 square feet (370 m2). The 131 m (430 ft) towers are built on a 1.03-acre site where the old Empire Theatre once stood.

Altair is a residential and commercial development under construction in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The building has a 68 floor vertical tower and 63 floor leaning or sloping tower. At 240.0 m (787 ft), the building will be one of the tallest buildings in Colombo when it is completed. The building is situated on the banks of the Beira Lake on a 2-acre plot of land leased by the Urban Development Authority of Sri Lanka to the Developer Indocean Developers. Development was halted for five years, and then restarted in 2020. The first phase of the building opened in March 2021.

Its towers are connected by South Asia's highest sky bridge, and is adjacent to Beira Lake.The building comprises over 400 apartments in two towers, and includes a fitness center, dining options, and outdoor recreational spaces.The P&T Group Singapore and Sanken jointly developed Capitol TwinPeaks. It falls under the oversight of the Sanken Group, Sanken Construction as the contractor and Capitol Developers as the developer.Capitol TwinPeaks received accolades at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2020, for architectural innovation and contribution to the real estate sector. It was also awarded the Green Certification by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL).

Seema Malaka (Sinhala: සීමා මාලකය) is a Buddhist temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The temple is mainly used for meditation and rest, rather than for worship. Situated in the Beira Lake, the temple was originally constructed in the late 19th century. Seema Malaka is a part of the Gangaramaya Temple and is situated few hundred meters to its east.

The Nelung Arts Center is an art center in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Opened in 2010, it houses a dance school, a theater and an art gallery. Established by the Nelung Arts Foundation which was founded by Niloufer Pieris a former Sri Lankan ballerina, the center is managed by the Royal Nelung Foundation under the preview of the Royal College Union.

The Cenotaph War Memorial in Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo, Sri Lanka is a war memorial dedicated to the military personnel from Ceylon killed in action during the two world wars. It was designed by the architect Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens. It comprises a towering Cenotaph and Memorial Walls. The foundation stone was laid by Brigadier General Sir William Henry Manning, Governor of Ceylon on December 7, 1921, and was unveiled by him October 27, 1923 at the Galle Face Green and was known as the Victory tower. It was dismantled and re-erected at Victoria Park, during World War II after fears that the Japanese might use it as a marker to direct their artillery. The Cenotaph contains the names of those killed in the Great War, while the Memorial Wall behind it maintains the names of those killed in the Second World War. A single woman, Miss L. Midwood is listed among the dead of the Great War. An annual National Service of Remembrance is held at the site on Remembrance Sunday, the closest Sunday to 11 November (Armistice Day) each year.

National Library and Documentation Services Board is the agency of the government of Sri Lanka which helps maintains all state libraries around the country including the Colombo Library but the management of individual libraries in cities and towns are carried out by the Municipal Council. The National Library and Documentation Services Board was established under the act No: 51 of 1998 succeeding the Sri Lanka National Library Services Board which was established in 1970. The board is placed under the Ministry of Education. The present Board of Directors consists of 11 members including a full-time Chairman. The Director General is the chief executive and secretary of the Board.

The Ratnam Private Hospital, LTD. is a hospital located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Founded in 1905 by Dr E.V. Ratnam, the hospital was the first private hospital to be established in the country. It was one of the top hospitals in Sri Lanka, serving many affluent members of society, celebrities, and tourists. The hospital was used for medical tourism by foreign visitors from across Asia, including India, the Maldives, China, Singapore, and more. Today, the hospital is mostly non-functional, being used mostly for small-scale surgeries, as well as being used as an elderly care facility.

Visumpaya, is an official residence of the Government of Sri Lanka. It is located in Lillie Street, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The house has been used as a residence for visiting heads of state and local government ministers. In July 2023, government of Sri Lanka agreed to lease out this location to be developed as a hotel [1]

Viharamahadevi Park (Sinhala: විහාරමහාදේවී උද්‍යානය; formerly Victoria Park, Sinhala: වික්ටෝරියා පාක්) is a public park located in Cinnamon Gardens, in Colombo, situated in front of the colonial-era Town Hall in Sri Lanka. It was built by the British colonial administration and is the oldest and largest park of Colombo. The park was originally named "Victoria Park" after Queen Victoria but was renamed after Queen Viharamahadevi, the mother of King Dutugamunu on July 18, 1958.During World War II it was occupied by the British Army with Australian 17th Brigade based at Victoria Park. After the war the park was restored and open to the public in 1951. There used to be a cricket ground in the park, which was used for first-class cricket between 1927 and 1995. Ceylon played against a touring English team there in 1927 and against an Australian team in 1935. The park features include a huge Buddha statue which replaced the statue of Queen Victoria which originally stood there, and a series of water fountains. It also includes a mini zoo, a children's play area and a BAC Jet Provost. There are Muscovy ducks in the park. They swim in the artificial lake and walk on the grass beside it.Viharamahadevi Park is the only large-scale public park in Colombo, and is maintained by the Colombo Municipal Council. Located at its western end is the Cenotaph War Memorial, Colombo and the Colombo Public Library. The Vihara Maha Devi Park Open Air Stadium is a venue for concerts and public events.
